PROVISION OF LANDSCAPING AND ARBORICULTURE AT NAUSENA BAUGH UNDER GE NB VISAKHAPATNAM

Phase - I: Schedule "A" Part - I [Arboriculture]:

Supplying, plantating and developing of Korean/ Mexican Carpet Grass including necessary earthwork excavation to an average depth of 200mm in any type of soil, removing the Weeds, Roots and Vegetation, levelling the base to required slopes and levels and supplying and spreading 02 parts of sand, 01 Part of bio fertiliser and best quality of cow dung and vermi compost and one part of red loamy virgin soil to improve the fertility of the soil for growth of grass in the required proportion and finally preparing the soil base suitable for planting carpet grass and having suitable pH and EC as recommended for Saline Water conditions including applying Soil Pesticide, transplanting of Carpet Grass including cost of Good Earth, Manure, Pesticides, Grass, etc. and removal surplus soil, debris, etc. outside MoD land complete all as specified and as directed.

Supplying, plantating and developing of Crotons, Hedge plants/ saplings, evergreen approved species viz. Acalypha variegated, Duranta erecta, height of plant not less than 0.75m above ground level and of age 6 Months with proportional girth, planting in position with spacing not exceeding 150 cm centre to centre including excavation in trenches upto 300mm depth, preparation of ground by removing the Weeds, Roots and Vegetation, levelling the base to required slopes and levels and supplying and filling of Good Earth [Without Moorum content] and having suitable pH and EC as recommended for Saline Water conditions [3 Parts], Manure such as Cow Dung, Vermi-Compost, Polydol Dust Neem Cake and Organic Manure etc. [1 Part] obtained from nurseries and watering etc. complete all as specified and as directed.

Supplying, planting and devoloping of Flower plants/ saplings of approved species viz. Lantama varities/ Plumeria Pudica/ Alamanda mini/ Lxora/ Button Rose, planted in and including suitable size flower pots including supplying and filling of Good Earth [Without Moorum content] and having suitable pH and EC as recommended for Saline Water conditions [3 Parts], Manure such as Cow Dung, Vermi-Compost, Polydol Dust Neem Cake and Organic Manure etc. [1 Part] obtained from nurseries and watering etc. complete all as specified and as directed.

Supplying, planting and devoloping of Ornamental Shrubs viz. Baby Crotons/ Erranthemum vatieder/ Thujas/ Furcuria including excavation in trenches to a size of 500mm x 500mm x 500mm, preparation of ground by removing the Weeds, Roots and Vegetation and supplying and filling of Good Earth [Without Moorum content] and having suitable pH and EC as recommended for Saline Water conditions [3 Parts], Manure such as Cow Dung, Vermi-Compost, Polydol Dust Neem Cake and Organic Manure etc. [1 Part] obtained from nurseries and watering etc. complete all as specified and as directed.

Supplying, planting and devoloping of Border Plants viz. Pendanus/ Blue Emarald/ Latina Varieties including excavation in trenches to a size of 500mm x 500mm x 500mm, preparation of ground by removing the Weeds, Roots and Vegetation and supplying and filling of Good Earth [Without Moorum content] and having suitable pH and EC as recommended for Saline Water conditions [3 Parts], Manure such as Cow Dung, Vermi-Compost, Polydol Dust Neem Cake and Organic Manure etc. [1 Part] obtained from nurseries and watering etc. complete all as specified and as directed.

Supplying, planting and devoloping of Ornamental Crotons Palm varieities viz. Royal Palm/ Fishtail Palms/ Foxtail Palm/ Viechiemowcry/ Green including excavation in trenches to a size of 500mm x 500mm x 500mm, preparation of ground by removing the Weeds, Roots and Vegetation and supplying and filling of Good Earth [Without Moorum content] and having suitable pH and EC as recommended for Saline Water conditions [3 Parts], Manure such as Cow Dung, Vermi-Compost, Polydol Dust Neem Cake and Organic Manure etc. [1 Part] obtained from nurseries and watering etc. complete all as specified and as directed.

Note for item Nos. 1 to 6 :- The Plants provided under serial item Nos. 1 to 6 of this BoQ shall be continuously maintained till certified date of completion of works catered under Phase-I by watering, taking out weeds, manuring with organic manure at regular intervals, using chemical fertilizers, spraying pesticides, etc. as required for healthy growth of plants, including trimming branches/grass to maintain proper shape etc. all as per standard gardening practice and for this purpose sufficient number of gardeners shall be deployed by the contractor and the the rates quoted for item Nos. 1 to 6 shall be deemed to include for this provision also. However, water shall be supplied by MES free of cost for maintaining the grass and plants.

Excavation over areas not exceeding 1.50 m in depth and getting out in Soft / loose soil complete all as specified and as directed.

Excavation in trenches not exceeding 1.5m wide and not exceeding 10 Sq.m on plan area and not exceeding 1.5m deep in Soft / Loose soil complete all as specified and as directed.

Returning, filling in, including spreading, levelling, watering and well ramming in layers not exceeding 25cm thick of excavated soil complete all as specified and as directed. Note: A deduction of 10% shall be made from total computed volume of filling to cater in bulk irrespective of machinery used for ramming.

Removal of excavated material [Soil] to a distance exceeding 250m and not exceeding 500 m and depositing where directed at a level not exceeding 1.5 m complete all as specified and as directed.

M & L for Hardcore of gauge exceeding 63mm and not exceeding 100mm of broken stones or boulders, deposited, spread and levelled in layers not exceeding 15 cm thick watered and rammed to true surface complete all as specified.

M & L for PCC 1:4:8, Type D-2, using 40mm graded stone aggregate as in Foundation, Fillings, Mass concrete, Footings etc complete all as specified and as directed.

M & L for RCC 1:1½:3, Type A-1, using 20mm graded stone aggregate as in Slabs supported on walls, beams, columns, landings, balconies, canopies, deck slabs and shelves and the like complete all as specified and as directed.

M & L for brick work with Fly Ash bricks, straight or curved on plan exceeding 6 m mean radius built in Cement Mortar 1:6 complete all as specified and as directed.

M & L for walling of random rubble masonry, uncoursed, well bonded, bedded and solidly hearted, built in Cement Mortar 1:4 complete all as specified and directed.

Extra over random rubble stone walling for hammer dressing to face stones and dressing of face beds and joints with maximum depression on face from straight edge held against the dressed surface n exc 40mm complete all as specified and directed.

Use and removal of steel formwork to soffits of suspended slabs such as roof slabs, floor slabs, landings and similar work not exceeding 200mm thick [horizontal or sloping] including fair finished surfaces complete all as specified and directed.

S & F Reinforcement using High Strength Corrosion Resistant Deformed TMT Bars of Grade Fe–500D of 10mm dia and over, cut to length, bent to shape required including cranking, bending, spirally for hooping, hooking ends and binding with annealed mild steel wire not less than 0.9mm dia or securing with clips or welded complete all as specified and as directed.

M & L for 75 mm thick, PCC 1:4:8, Type D-2, using 40mm graded stone aggregate as in Sub base for flooring complete all as specified and as directed.

M & L for designer tiles 400 x 400 mm, 10 mm thick, as in deck flooring, floor/path, set, jointed and pointed in neat cement slurry with grey cement and pigments, laid over and including 15 mm thick screed bed in CM 1:4 all as specified. Make johnson endura designer collection series or equivalent

M & L for preparing newly plastered wall surfaces and applying three coats of white washing complete all as specified and as directed.

M & L for Two coats of Weather Proof Exterior Emulsion Paint [100% Acrylic] by using auto roller/ airless sprayer over a Coat of Exterior Primer over 1 mm thick of Cement based Wall Care Putty [primer and putty shall be of same manufacturer as that of exterior emulsion paint] by using multipurpose mixture for proper mixing of putty and putty sprayer for application of putty on newly plastered walls/ ceiling, pillasters, bands, borders, soffits of chajjas and projections including rubbing with sand paper to obtain a smooth surface complete all as specified and as directed. Note:- The contractor shall carryout Exterior Emulsion Painting and allied works under subject work through the Authorised Applicator of the manufacturer only. The lowest bidder shall submit MoU from manufacturer to provide technical support and trained persons for carrying out Exterior emulsion painting through their authorised applicators before commencement of the work to GE for approval.

S & F lacquered outdoor sandstone water fountain of approved pattern and colour with base dia 2500mm and height 2900 mm to 3800mm from GL having 03 Numbers of water springs of round shape provided in 3 stages with 1000mm dia, 800mm dia and 600mm dia, including provision of suitable capacity electric motor with excellent aeration with very low clogging potential & proper filteraton of water including non corrosive nozzles, all fitting and fixtures with non corrosive connections, RGB lightings as required at site including suitable foundation with necessary excavation and earth work etc complete all as specified and as directed.

Phase - II: Schedule "A" Part – II: [Maintenance of Arboriculture Works during Defect Liability Period of work under Phase – I i.e. 24 Months]:

Maintenance of Arboriculture / Plants / Grass as provided under Serial Item No. 01 to 06 of this BoQ by weeding, hosing, saucer melding once in every 15 days, planting new Plants / Grass in place of dead Plants / Grass of same species and height with out any extra cost to the department and as directed complete during Defect Liability Period complete all as specified and as directed. Note: Rate quoted shall be deemed to include for all labour, materials, tools & plants and regular watering, using sprinklers, including supply and spreading / spraying organic manure, chemical fertilisers, pesticides to the required extent complete all as specified.However, water shall be supplied by MES free of cost for maintaining the grass and plants.
