S/I/T/C of Electric Motor Driven Fire pumping set (Kirloskar /Mather platt make) suitable for automatic operation consisting of the following and as per CPWD specification Part V-1985 and relevant BIS specifications. i) Centrifugal horizontal Split casing type pump suitable for delivery of 2280LPM at a total head of 55M so as to ensure a minimum pressure of 3.5kg/sq.cm at highest and farthest outlet of the specified flow and minimum 5.50kg/sqcm at the pump outlet. The pump shall be of horizontal End suction type with cast iron body, bronze impeller and stainless steel shaft directly coupled through a flexible coupling with electric motor. The pump shall be capable of giving a discharge of not less than 150% of the rated discharge at a head not less than 65% of the rated head. ii) Squirrel cage AC induction motor suitable for operation 415 V (+/- 10%) three phase 50 Hz A.C supply of suitable HP with synchronous speed of 2900 RPM (with permissible slip). The motor shall have 'B' class insulation and the enclosure shall be TEFC type conforming to protection clause IP 55 of IS : 4691. The motor shall otherwise conform to IS :325-1978. The motor shall be rated for continuous duty. iii) Common base plate fabricated out of MS channel of size 75 x 150mm iv) Suitable pump foundation with vibration damping arrangement by cushy foot or similar mountings as required 2280LPM @55m Head.

Complete with cast iron casing, bronze impeller and stainless steel shaft directly coupled through flexible coupling with electric motor as required. (ii)Squirrel cage AC induction motor suitable for operation 415 V (+/- 10%) three phase 50 Hz A.C supply of suitable HP with synchronous speed of 2900 RPM (with permissible slip). S/I/T/C of Diesel Engine Driven Fire pump suitable for automatic operation consisting of the following and as per CPWD specification Part V-1985 and relevant BIS specifications. i) Horizontal Split casing centrifugal pump suitable for delivery of 2280LPM at a total head of 55M so as to ensure a minimum pressure of 5.50 Kg sq cm at the delivery of the pump and 3.5 kg/sq cm at highest and farthest outlet of the specified flow. The pump shall be of horizontal end suction type with cast iron body, bronze impeller and stainless steel shaft directly coupled with diesel engine by means of flexible coupling. ii) Water cooled cold starting type (without the necessity of preliminary heating of the engine cylinder) Diesel Engine (Ruston / Kirloskar Cummins/ Kirloskar) developing BHP (after considering derating due to humidity, ambient temperature etc.) at the operating speed of the above pump set, i.e. 2000/1800 RPM with automatic 12 V/24 V starting mechanism with 2 Nos. 180 AH 12 V batteries (Connection in series in case of 24 V starting and in parallel in case of 12 V starting system) flexible coupling for pump and common base plate of MS channel of size at least 75 mm x 150mm for mounting Diesel engine and pump including supplying and fixing of 200 lt. cap day oil storage tank fabricated out of 4mm thick MS sheet with filling cap, drain cock, diesel indicator fully mounted on MS angle bracket complete as required. The engine shall be capable to drive the pump at 150% rated discharge at 65% head and the engine shall have 10% overload capacity of one hour in any period of 12 hours continuous run. iii) The engine shall accept full load within 15 seconds from the receipt of signal to start. Supply, installation, testing and commissioning of electrically operated actuator to be incorporated in each existing Main incoming switchgears of Main power supply line of this building to interlock the Main incoming switchgears with Fire pump/Fire alarm control panel by remote relay release and supply & laying of 6C X 1.5 sq.mm armored control cable from Fire pump/Fire alarm control panel to Main incoming feeder pillar. The logic of interlocking between Main incoming switchgears and Fire Pump /Fire alarm control panel shall be done in such a manner that in case of internal fire incident took place in the building power supply to the whole building shall be switched off by tripping the Main incoming switchgears by releasing tripping signal from both Fire alarm control panel if it detect smoke /Fire and Fire pump control panel if it sense drastic pressure drop due to opening of hydrant valves and then diesel engine driven fire pump shall start automatically to supply abundant pressurize water.
