Establishing Network infrastructure for Freight Operations Information System (FOIS) at FACT Cochin Division, Ambalamedu.

Supply & laying of OFC cable inside HDPE in underground. The work includes laying of 6-core OFC cable in Ground inside HDPE conduit in "Hard", "Rocky" and "Non Rocky" Soil. The cable shall be laid in HDPE pipe, underground in a trench of depth of 1 meter and width 300mm by excavating the earth. After laying of OFC along with HDPE soil shall be refilled upto a height of 110mm above the cable and then shall be covered with bricks of size 100 mm x 60 mm x 225 mm; (+/- 10mm). The balance excavated portion shall be refilled to height of about 75 cms and warning tape shall be placed. The remaining portion after placing of warning tape shall be refilled and compacted up to the ground level. Cable route markers shall be installed at intervals of 5 meters and at turning points for easy identification. Bidder shall supply and use the necessary OFC & HDPE pipe as per Annexure II A & B. Other materials like road marker, brick and warning tape required for the work shall also be supplied by the bidder. The required excavation shall be carried out 2m away from the railway track. Exact location of laying shall be shown by the purchaser on ground.

Supply & laying of OFC cable inside DWC pipe . The work includes laying of 6-core OFC cable in Ground inside Double Wall Corrugated (DWC) pipe in "Hard", "Rocky" and "Non Rocky" Soil. The cable shall be laid in pipe, underground in a trench of depth of 1 meter and width 300mm by excavating the earth. After laying of OFC alonwith DWC, soil shall be refilled upto a height of about 75 cms and warning tape shall be placed. The balance soil shall be refilled and compacted up to the ground level. Cable route markers shall be installed at intervals of 5 meters and at turning points for easy identification. Bidder shall supply and use the necessary OFC & DWC pipe as per Annexure II A & C. Other materials like marker and warning tape required for the work shall also be supplied by the bidder. The required excavation shall be carried out beneath the railway track. Exact location of laying shall be shown by the purchaser on ground.

Supply & laying of OFC cable inside HDPE conduit (32mm). The work includes laying of 6-core OFC cable overhead through HDPE conduit. Any route taken above ground viz. on compound walls or along steel girders or structural or cable ducts or cables tray shall be considered as overhead route. After laying the conduit shall be properly tied/fixed using proper aluminium clamps/cleats so that any kind of hanging /sagging shall be avoided. Breaking the wall/floor drilling holes to fix the clamps/ installing the conduit, laying the cable and plastering the wall shall be done by the contractor as required. Metal steel tags shall be used for identification of OFC/Cat 6 cables laid through overhead routes. Bidder shall supply and use the necessary HDPE & OFC as per Annexure II - A & B. Other materials like aluminium clamps/ cleats and metal tag required for the work shall also be supplied by the bidder.

Supply & laying of OFC Cable in PVC conduit . The work include laying of Cable in PVC Conduit inside Bagging Plant/ inside Building as per FACT requirement. These conduit alongwith cable shall be properly fixed using proper aluminium clamps/cleats/ approved clips so that any kind of hanging /sagging shall be avoided. Conduits below ceiling/ roof shall run with proper supports / suspenders (existing support/ structure shall be where ever possible). Conduits shall not be freely rested on any structure in any case. All vertical runs with open ends shall be sealed at top. Sharp Bend radius shall be avoided at all cost to protect the OFC cable from damage. Minimum bend radius shall always be 20 times Pipe OD. In such cases ,breaking the wall/floor drilling holes to fix the clamps/ installing the conduit, laying the cable and plastering the wall shall be done by the contractor. Bidder shall supply and use the necessary OFC as per Annexure II-A. Other materials like PVC, aluminium clamps/ cleats and metal tag required for the work shall also be supplied by the bidder.

Supply & installation of 8-port network switch FOIS . The work shall include supply of network switch as per attached specification in Annexure-II D, its installation, configuration and programming as required for the FOIS

Supply & installation of SFP modules for FOIS. The work shall include supply of 1000BASE-LX/LH Small Form Factor Pluggable (SFP) modules, its installation, configuration, connection at network switch and connection from LIU using Patch Chords for establishing communication between Rail Net and FACT's In-motion Weigh Bridge as required for FOIS. The SFP shall be installed in the network switches and shall be connected to Main OFC through LIU using patch chord . Bidder shall supply SFP modules and suitable Patch Chords required for the job.

Supply & installation of Media Converters for FOIS. The work shall include supply of Media Converter, its installation, configuration, connection with network switch and connection from LIU using Patch Chords for establishing communication between Rail Net and FACT's In-motion Weigh Bridge as required for FOIS. The Media Converter shall be connected in the network switches using CAT 6 cable (5mtrs length)and shall be connected to Main OFC through LIU using patch chord . Bidder shall supply Media Converter as per attached specification in Annexure-II E, CAT 6 and suitable Patch Chords required for the job.

Supply & installation of 12 Pair LIU box for FOIS. The work include supply of 12 Pair LIU, its installation, connection/ termination of 6 OFC cable, splicing ,connecting patch cord etc. for establishing communication between Rail Net and FACT's In-motion Weigh Bridge as required for the FOIS. Bidder shall Supply 19 inch 12 port-Loaded LIU with adaptor, splice tray and pigtail as per attached specification in in Annexure-II F and any other accessories required for the job.

Supply & installation of Fibre junction box(flat)-standard. The work include supply of Fibre optic Junction (type Flat), its installation, connection/ termination of 6 OFC cable, splicing etc. for establishing communication between Rail Net and FACT's In-motion Weigh Bridge as required for the FOIS. Bidder shall supply Junction Box (flat) as per and any other related accessories required for the job.

Supply & installation of Fibre junction box(cylindrical)-standard. The work include supply of Fibre optic Junction (type Cylindrical), its installation, connection/ termination of 6 OFC cable, splicing etc. for establishing communication between Rail Net and FACT's In-motion Weigh Bridge as required for the FOIS. Bidder shall supply Junction Box (cylindrical) as per and any other related accessories required for the job.
