Dismantling and taking down Aluminium strip fixed on roof, floor wall and taking out old saddles and earthing strip in original state all as specified and directed.

Taking out old GI earthing strip of size 32x 6 mm embeded in earth and removing its bends and complete all as specified and directed.

Labour only for re-fixing in repair aluminium strip of size 25 mm x 3 mm to procelain insulator with suitable saddles & fixing screws etc on roof or on wall (appx. 35 feet above GL) including of bitumen washer, nuts, bolts, etc. required to fix the strip and air termination spikes existing serviceable or new insulators complete all as specified and directed. NOTE - Cost of suitable fixing jobs like drilling, welding, etc. required for fixing of strip and insulators on the any existing surface like PCC wall, asbestos sheet, etc. at site is deemed to be included in the quoted rate.

-Ditto- all as per item No 1 above but GI strip 32 mm x 6 mm.

M&L for PCC (1:2:4) type BO (using 12.5 mm graded stone aggregate) for block size form work as in grouting of porcelain/PVC insulator on the roof (appx. 35 feet above GL) and for making good to PCC pavement/road/hard standing, all as specified and directed. NOTE - (i) Size of PCC block required for erection of GI pipe-air termination arrangement is to be approved by ENgr-in-Charge. (ii) Quoted rate is deemed to be inclusive of arrangements required for fixing of PCC blocks at any height and on any surface.

S&F in replacement at any height and on any surface PVC insulator with busbar support, to be fixed on wall or on roof (appx. 35 feet above GL) and connceted to GI or aluminium conductor earth continuity strip complete all as specified and directed. NOTE - Cost of suitable fixing jobs like drilling, welding, etc. required for fixing of strip and insulators on the any existing surface like PCC wall, asbestos sheet, etc. at site is deemed to be included in the quoted rate.

S&F in repairs/replacement air termination at any height, single pointed, aluminium rod 19 mm dia and 600 mm long to be screwed and sturdily fixed to GI pipe of 40 mm dia with and including two no. sets of suitable size nut, bolt, washers (02 Nos.) all as specified and directed by Engr-in-Charge. NOTE - PCC block and GI pipe required shall be measured and paid separately under relevant items of Sch 'A'.

NOTE - Cost of suitable fixing jobs like drilling, welding, etc. required for fixing of strip and insulators on the any existing surface like PCC wall, asbestos sheet, etc. at site is deemed to be included in the quoted rate.

-Ditto- all as per item No 8 above but GI strip 32 mm x 6 mm.

Dismantling and removing old unserviceable earthing, M&L for earthing complete with galvanized steel earth plate electrode 60×60cm×6mm thick electrode burried directly in ground (earth pit not less than 2.25 m deep below GL) with top edge of the plate not less than 1.5 m below the normal ground level connected with 32×6 mm galvanized iron as earthing lead by means of bolts, nuts, check nuts and washers of galvanised iron or steel including necessary excavation & earth work in any type of soil, removing surplus soil to a distance not exc 50m, with and including PCC chamber in PCC (1:2:4), type B1, using 20 mm graded stone aggregate, mild steel frame made out of angle iron of size 40mm x 40mm x 6 mm thick duly painted with two coats of synthetic enamel paint over one coat of red oxide zinc chrome primer hinged with and including 6 mm thick Cl cover with handle, watering arrangement with funnel internally secured with wire mesh with 20 mm dia medium grade GI pipe for watering, 40 mm dia light grade Gl pipe for lead protection in and including alternate layer of charcoal dust and common salt complete all as shown in electrical plate No 3 of SSR Part-I (2009) connected to earthing test point all as specified and indicated including testing on completion including retrieving of old GI earth plate, CI cover, GI pipes, angle iron frame from existing earthing as directed by Engineer-in-Charge. NOTE : - (i). Earthing strip GI/copper upto 7.5m will be measured and paid under this item only. (ii). The earth chamber shall be constructed 50 cm away from the edge of earth pit and the cost of the same is deemed to be included in the rate quoted for above item. (ii). Quoted rate is deemed to be inclusive of cost of demolition of old earthing as directed by Engr-in-Charge. (iii). The new earthing so constructed must have resisitance value below 2 ohms. If the aforesaid resistance value is not achieved contractor has to make proper aadditions/alterations to the newly constructed earthing at his own cost.

M & L for fixing and connecting in replacement test point terminal block made out of gun metal or phosphorus bronze size 75 x 75 x 25 mm thick drilled and screwed including 03 Nos 8 mm dia 25 mm long hexagonal head screws fixed to GI strip bracket fixed to porcelain/PVC insulator on wall as in repairs, complete all as specified and directed. Note: Porcelain/PVC insulator will be measured & paid separetly.

Demolition and taking out old damaged earth pit PCC chamber with cover and M& L for preparation of new PCC chamber in cement concrete 1:2:4 type B1 cover duly reinforced with XPM (weight not less than 4 Kg/sqm and CI frame and other provisions all as shown electrical plate No-3 of SSR-2009 Part-I complete all as specified and directed.

Excavation in trenches in any type of soil not exc 1.5 m wide and not exc 1.5 m depth and getting out including forming bottom surfaces to required level or slope, complete all as specified and directed.

Returning filling in excavated soil including spreading, leveling, watering and well ramming, in layers not exceeding 25 cm thick complete all as specified and directed.

Removal of surplus soil to a distance n exc in 50 m and deposited where directed at a level n exc 1.5 m above the starting point complete all as specified and as directed by Engineer-in-Charge.

S&F in repairs/replacement 40mm dia. GI pipe, light grade, burried in trenches/or to be fixed on wall as earth continuity protection pipe in repairs including necessary excavation and earth work in hard soil, returning & filling in, watering and well ramming, removal of surplus soil to a distance not exc 50 mtrs complete all as specified and directed.

M & L for testing of lighting protection system & earthing (except new earthing covered under srl item Nos 09 herein before) of various Tech Accns in the presence of Engineer -in -Charge by removing all earthing connections from the earth test points and measuring the resistance of earthing (if any) & lightning protection network using an earth tester (as approved by Engr-in-Charge) detailing the defective earthings & lightening protection systems. Items to be repaired/ to be renewed must be noted down during record of test of lighting protection system. The test results should be kept on record after repairs/renewal and have to be get signed by Engineer-in-Charge alongwith the signature of Contractor. NOTE: (i) The earthing showing test result beyond 10 ohms are to be renewed and will be measured & paid for separately under relevant item of Sch 'A'. (ii). Meter for measuring the resistance of each earthing and conncted accessories will be arranged by the contractor.
