Excavation in earth work in hilly area in all heights and depths in all kind of soil including saturated soil comprising of mixed soil, ordinary rock and hard rock all work of rock cutting by blasting shall be carried out by taking all necessary precautions against soil erosion, damage to hill side,water pollution, etcetra and to protect stability of hill side rock shall be excavated with chiseling and wedging out rock (where blasting is prohibited). All earth work in cutting/excavation including rock excavation shall be carried, out true to lines, grades, side slopes, width, camber super-elevation and level as shown on the drawings or as directed by the Engineer-in-Charge, in conformit with the requirement of technical specification for Rural Road. clause 1603.1 and 1603.2 of General conditions for contract to achieve designed formation width including hauling and safe disposal of unsuitable cut materials upto all lead and lifts in specified manner i/c arrangement of dumping site trimming, filling of unevenness, blindage and finishing of the road to specified dimensions or as directed by the Engineer -in -Charge for smooth riding. The recovery for stones,whether useful or not, for 183.40 cum (One hundred eighty three point forty cubic metre) in all cases, @ rupees 170/- only(Rupees one hundred seventy only) per cubic meter shall be effected on pro- rata basis. Any loss to the public and private property during the course of excavation shall be the absolute responsibility of the contractor, which shall compensated by him in all cases.

Earthwork in excavation for all type of roads, structures such as retaining wall, breast wall, culvert, drain and parapets etc. in all type of classification of soil comprising of ordinary soil, ordinary rock, hard rock chiesling / wedging out rocks (where blasting is prohibeted) as per drawing and technical specification true to lines and grades. Dimesions and other particulars as per drawing and Technical Specification Clause 305.1(Three hundred Five point One) and 1606.1(One six zero six point one) including setting out, construction of shoring and bracing, removal of stumps and other deleterious material and disposal upto all lead and lifts including dressing of sides and bottom and backfilling in trenches with excavated suitable material. All work of excavation by blasting shall be carried out by taking all necessary precautions against soil erosions, damage to hill side & any structure near about, water pollutions etc., and to protect stability of hill side rock. Stacking of materials useful for construction at suitable sites and safe disposal of unserviceable excavated materials in specified manners to dumping site(to be arranged by the contractor), trimming, filling of unevenness blindages and finishing of the road to specified dimensions or as directed by the Engineer-in-Charge. Any loss to the public or private property during the course of execution shall be the sole responsibility of the contractor, which shall have to be duly compensated by him at his own cost of all cases.

Providing and laying concrete for plain/reinforced concrete in open foundations complete as par drawings and technical specifications C- 802, 803, 1202 & 1203(Clause - Eight hundred Two, Eight hundred Three, One thousand Two hundred Two and One thousand Two hundred Three) 1:4:8. (One Cement : Four Sand : Eight graded stone) aggregate 25 mm nominal size and curing complete including the cost of form work and carriage of all labour equipments and materials to various locations through all modes of transportations in all leads and lifts to the entire satisfaction as per direction of Engineer-in-Charge.

Providing and laying Plain Cement Concrete 1:3:6(one cement: three sand: six graded hard stone aggregate 20mm(twenty) millimeter)nominal size} and curing complete including the cost of formwork for plain/reinforcemed concrete as per drawing and HP PWD techinical specifications i/c carriage of all labour equipments and materials to various locations through all modes of transportations in all leads and lifts to the entire satisfaction as per direction of Engineer-in- Charge.

Providing and laying reinforced cement concrete 900 mm (Nine Hundred millimeter)dia pipe class NP-2( Non Presseure- Two), including jointing for culverts on first class bedding of granular material in single row including fixing collar with cement mortar 1:2(one cement: two sand) including back filling but excluding excavations, protection works, concrete and masonry works in head walls and parapets as per drawings and technical specifications C - 1108. all modes of transportation in all leads and lifts to the entire satisfaction of the Engineer-in-Charge,

Providing weep holes in brick masonry/ stone masonry, plain/reinforced concrete abutment, wing walls, return wall with 100mm (One hundred) milimetre dia AC pipe extending through the full width of the structures with slope of 1(V):20 (H) towards drawing face complete as per drawing and technical specification clauses 614, 709,1204.3.7. all modes of transportation in all leads and lifts to the entire satisfaction of the Engineer-in-Charge,

Backfilling behind abutment, wing wall and return wall complete as per drawings & technical specification Clause 1204.3.8 in granular material. as per drawing and HP PWD techinical specifications i/c carriage of all labour equipments and materials to various locations through all modes of transportations in all leads and lifts to the entire satisfaction as per direction of Engineer-in- Charge.

Providing and laying, spreading and compacting stone aggregates of specific sizes to water bound macadam specification including spreading in uniform thickness, hand packing, rolling with three wheel 80-100 (Eighty- One hundred) kN static roller in stages to proper grade and camber, applying and brooming, crushable screening to fill-up the interstices of coarse aggregate, watering and compacting to the required density Grading -II as per Technical Specification Clause 405. (Clause Four Hundred Five) By Manual Means , including carriage of all labour equipments and materials to various locations through all modes of transportations in all leads and lifts to the entire satisfaction as per direction of Engineer-in- Charge.

Construction of unlined surface drain of average cross-sectional area 0.2 sqm in ordinary rock to specified lines, grades, levels and dimensions as per approved design and Technical Specification Clause 307. Excavated material to be used in embankment at site. by mechanical means as per H.P.PWD. specsification, including carriage of all labour, equipments and materials to various location through all modes of transportation in all leads and lifts including all incidental charges.
