Excavation in foundation and trenches etc. ( for pipe and pits) up to all depths and in all kinds of soils such as pick work, pick jumper work, saturated soil including bailing or pumping out of water, blasting in soft/ hard rock, chiseling/wedging out of rock where blasting is prohibited, in all leads and lifts including trimming and dressing of sides, leveling of beds to correct grade including shoring, strutting, planking timbering , stacking usable and unusable materials/ soils separately and after laying, jointing and testing of pipes, returning the usable soils in 15 cm layers by ramming and watering and then disposing of all surplus excavated soil / unusable materials as directed within all leads and lifts including restoration of un-metalled surfaces to its original condition and including cost of diversion of traffic, night signal boards, fixing caution boards, crossing over trenches for access to houses, fencing etc. complete in all respects within all leads and lifts as per the direction of the Engineer-in-charge. Providing laying jointing and testing in trenches ( to be leveled to grade) MSERW pipe excluding cost of flanged bends of all degrees confirming to IS: 3183-2007 grade L-210 or A (latest upto date amendments) having wall thickness as specified below, suitable to withstand required hydraulic test pressure in random length 4 to 6 mtr with beveled ends. The MS flanges are to be provided 5 % of total joints conformimg to IS: 6392-1971 (lates upto date amendements) and remaining joints provided with circumferential butt welded joints and welding of flanges with pipes as per IS: 816-1965 with electrod as per IS: 814-1967 including required number and size of nuts and bolts as per 1369-1967 and compressed asbestos fiber jointing gaskets not less than 3mm in thickness as per IS: 2712-1965. The welding of flnages to be done on both faces in minimum three or requisite layers on each face ( 2 layers on outer face & one layer on inner face minimum) to make the joints leak proof and to the entire satisfaction of the Engineer-in-charge. The laying of pipe shall confirm to IS: 5822-1994 and as per CPHEEO manual. The laying will include all operations such as cutting welding and jointing including flushing cleaning and hydroulic testing complete in all respect to the entire satisfaction of the Engineer-in-charge including entire carriage of materials. The pipe shall have zinc coating as per IS 4736 (inside &outside) . Pipe will be measured for straight length only. (Earth work in trenches, MS flanges and butt welding joints to be measured and paid for spearartely).

The power of electric motor should be atleast 10% in excess of the maximum power required by the pump in the operation range of + 10% and - 15% of the duty point head.
