SPECIAL REPAIRS TO ROADS AT CERTAIN LOCATIONS, HARD STANDINGS IN MT AREA IN NORTH ZONE, AND OTHER SANCTIONED WORKS OF CERTAIN ROADS AT BINNAGURI MILITARY STATION UNDER GE (NORTH) BINNAGURI

Amount

M&L for Scarifying or picking gravelled, macadam or bituminous macadam surfaces in area not exceeding 400 Sqm and depth exceeding 50 mm but not exceeding 100 mm deep including removing stacking and deposing off, complete all as specified and directed by Engineer-in-charge.

Screening road metal, Chippings, etc. on the site of the work, when specially ordered, including removing screened materials clear of screen and stacking in separate heaps for measuring (Materials from both sides of screen measured), complete all as specified and directed by Engineer-in-charge.

M&L for 7.5cm thick (compacted thickness) WBM, with coarse aggregate of granite, trap or Basalt of grading 2 (63 to 40mm size), or of grading 3 (50 to 20 mm size) spread, rolled and consolidated to gradient and camber with 8 to 12 tone power roller, complete all as specified and directed by Engineer-in-charge.

All as serial item No. 3 as above but except material, complete all as specified and directed by Engineer-in-charge. Note : Stone aggregate obtained from respective item of this schedule.

M&L for preparing un-surfaced water bound macadam by brushing with wire brushes for removing caked etc sweeping with brooms and finally fanning the cleaned surface with gunny bags to remove all loose dirt etc, applying evenly a prime coat of cationic bitumen emulsion (SS-1) conforming to IS : 8887 at a rate of application of 0.70 - 1 kg/sqm on surface of WMM/WBM as specified in table 500-3 of Morth specification for road and bridge work 2013 using mechanical sprayer, complete all as specified and directed by Engineer-in-charge.

M&L for premix bituminous, macadam laid/rolled and compacted to required gradient and camber (consolidated thickness 75mm or less) using paving bitumen Vg-30 @ 4% (minimum) by the weight of total mix of any penetration compacted to required gradient and camber with 8 to 12 tone power roller, complete all as specified and directed by Engineer-in-charge. NOTE : (i) No extra allowances shall be admissible to the contractor if the bitumen content is required more than 4% by the weight of total mix as per approved design. The contractor shall quote the rate accordingly.

M&L for repairs to pot holes, depth of not exc 30 mm, area not exc 1.00 Sqm each including sweeping free from dust and mud or water, scooring sunken surfaces in roads, paths etc. cutting around edges to at least 25 mm in depth, making good by applying tack coat by cationic bitumen (RS-1) @ 5 kg per 10 Sqm, putting in premixed asphaltic semi dense concrete 25 mm consolidated thickness with 5.5 % binder content of paving bitumen VG - 30 grade by weight of total mix rolled and compacted mixed in mechanical hot mix plant and premixed plant and premixed material laid with mechanical paver, finished including rolling to required gradient and camber with 8 to 10 tonne power roller to required compaction, complete all as specified and directed by Engineer-in-charge.

M&L for applying evenly a tack coat of cationic bitumen emulsion (RS-1) conforming to IS : 8887 at a rate of application of 0.20 - 0.30 kg/sqm on bituminous surface as specified in table 500-5 of Morth specification for road and bridge work 2013, using mechanical sprayer after cleaning of existing surface by air compressor to remove all loose dirt etc., complete all as specified and directed by Engineer-in-charge

M&L for bituminous premix asphaltic semi dense concrete 40mm consolidated thickness (minimum) with 5.5% binder content of paving bitumen Gde-VG-30 by weight of total mix, rolled and compacted, mixed in mechanical hot mixed plant and pre-mixed material laid with mechanical paver, finished including rolling to required gradient and camber with 8 to 12 tonne power roller to required compaction complete all as specified in the relevant clauses of SSR Part-I (2009) and, complete all as specified and directed by Engineer-in-charge Note : (a) Rate deemed to be included for making good of any undulation/damages in wearing surfaces, where semi sense asphaltic concrete to be laid. (b) Semi dense asphaltic bituminous concrete shall be designed as specified and binder content shall be provided as per design mix, contractor shall quoted his rates considering the bitumen contents as 5.5%. Any variation in binder content on minus side shall be adjusted at the rate of Rs 50.00 per kilogram of binder but variation in binder plus side shall not be paid extra contractor shall quote accordingly.

M&L for Continuous brick edging with burnt clay brick of sub class 'B' old size bricks with width equal to the width of the brick laid dry on end vertically including demolition of old unserviceable brick edging, complete all as specified and directed by Engineer-in-charge.

M&L for 2.5 mm thick painting to road surfaces as in lines, dashes, arrows, letters , zebra crossing etc on roads, pavements and like with thermoplastic road marking paint @ 5 kg/Sqm and applying glass beads @ 300 gms/Sqm over painted surfaces while the painted surfaces are hot by mechanical means including cleaning surfaces, complete all as specified and directed by Engineer-in-charge. (Note. The painting shall be carried out through mechanical appliances by the company's approved applicator).

Demolition of unreinforced cement concrete in ground floors and paving's n exc 15 cm thickness (below or above ground level) complete all as specified and as directed by Engineer-in-charge.

M&L for 75 mm thick PCC (1:3:6) type C-2 (using 40 mm graded crushed stone aggregate) as in plinth protection/ footpath/ steps finished cement concrete surface even & fair etc including necessary form work complete all as specified and as directed by Engineer-in-charge.

Providing and laying 80mm thick factory made chamfered edge cement concrete paver block of M-30 grade with approved colour, design & pattern as in footpath, parks, lawns, drive ways or light traffic parking etc., of required strength, thickness & size/ shape, made by table vibratory method using PU mould, laid in required colour & pattern over and including 50mm thick compacted bed of coarse sand, compacting and proper embedding/ laying of inter locking paver blocks into the sand bedding layer through vibratory compaction by using plate vibrator, filling the joints with fine sand and cutting of paver block as per required size and pattern, finishing and sweeping extra sand, complete all as per specified and as directed by Engineer-in-charge.

M&L PCC 1:2:4 Type B-1 (20mm graded aggregate) as in coping/benching to sides of foot path surface finished fair and even including necessary formwork etc, complete all as per specified and as directed by Engineer-in-charge.

Supply and fix in repair of solar cat eye aluminum alloy shall (100% water proofing design according to 65) of size 125mm x 125mm x 25mm (shank 65mm) of high efficiency Mono rystafie solar panel 2.4V/ 0.3 watt one NI-ed rechargeable battery (1.2V/ 1600MA) consisting of super bright LED with 10,000 to 18,000 mcd completed as per manufactures instructions and complete all as specified and directed by Engineer-in-charge.

Supply and fixing in repair of cat eye solar reflective type of metal body alloy of size 100mm x 100mm x 20mm with PAMA striplens reflector of model No. DA 972.0 fixed with and incl MS stud of suitable size as per manufactures instructions and complete all as specified and directed by Engineer-in-charge.

M&L for applying two or more coats of 100% Premium acrylic emulsion paint on kerb stone having VOC less than 50 gm/litre and UV resistance as per IS 15489:2004, Alkali & fungal resistance, dirt resistance exterior paint of required shade (Company Depot Tinted) with silicon additives @ 1.43 litre/ 10 sqm over and including priming coat of exterior primer applied @ 0.90 litre/ 10 sqm over new surfaces, complete all as specified and as directed by Engineer-in-charge.

M&L for repairs to potholes of any depth not exceeding 1.0 sqm each including sweeping free from dust & mud or water, scoring sunken surfaces in road, path etc, cutting around edge to at least 25 mm in depth, making good by applying tack coat with cationic emulsion @5 kg per 10 sq m, putting in premixed bituminous, well rammed and sealed with binder 9.8 kg per 10 sq m, blinded with 0.09 cu m of stone chippings, 6.3 mm size and again well rammed (including supply of premixed macadam, binder and chippings) depth of potholes exc 30 mm complete all as specified and directed by Engineer-in-Charge.

Note - The contract sum shall be calculated by deducting the amount shown in Credit Schedule attached to this tender, from total amount of Schedule 'A'/BOQ.
