Scarifying or picking gravelled, macadam or bituminous macadam surfaces in area exceeding 400 Sqm and depth exceeding 50 mm but not exceeding 100 mm and removal of debries from site outside the defence land complete all as specified and directed.
Material & labour for 100 mm thick (compacted thickness) Wet Mix Macadam (WMM) in two layers of 50 mm thick each with granite trap or basalt stone coarse aggregate of grading 2 (63 to 40 mm size) or of grading 3 (50 mm to 20 mm ) and specification as per clause 406 and as per table 400-13 of yellow book of MORT&H in patches and including premixing the material with water at OMC in mechanical mix plant, carriage of mixed material by tipper to site for all leads & lifts, to be laid using mechanical paver, spread watered,rolled & consolidated to required gradient and camber with vibratory type power roller 8-12 tonne capacity to achieve the desired density complete all as specified and as directed.
M&L for preparing of un-surfaced wet mix macadam surface by brooming or brushing with wire brushes for removing caked mud etc sweeping with brooms and finally fanning the cleaned surfaces with air compressor & gunny bags to remove all loose dust etc and applying evenly a priming tack coat with paving bitumen of grade VG-10 at the rate of 10 Kg / per 10 Sqm by mechanically sprayer complete all as specified and directed.
Material and labour for laying premix bituminous macadam average consolidated thickness 50mm using graded crushed stone aggregate, grading 2 with nominal aggregate size 19mm, mixed with paving bitumen of grade VG-30 mixed at the rate of 4% by weight of total mix, rolled and compacted with 8 to 12 tonne power road roller to required gradient and camber complete all as specified and as directed.
Material and labour for preparing of existing black top surfaces of road by brushing with wire brushes for removing caked mud etc sweeping with brooms and finally fanning the cleaning surfaces with air compressor to remove all dust, applying a priming/tack coat with paving bitumen Grade VG-10 applied at the rate of 5 Kg per 10 Sqm heated on requisite temperature by using mechanical sprayer complete all as specified and as directed.
Material and labour for laying Bituminous premixed Semi Dense Asphaltic Concrete 30mm thick, consolidated thickness, pre-mixed hot mix semi-dense asphaltic concrete with coarse aggregate of grading 1 as per MORT&H specification in single layer using paving bitumen of grade VG 30 mixed at the rate of 5.50% by weight of the total mix as per design mix including supply and mixing of filler (OPC cement) laid, rolled and compacted to required gradient and camber using full width mechanical sensor paver with string sensor and compacted with 8-12 tonne power vibratory road roller including taking down of existing cat eyes and refixing of serviceable cat eyes with new fixtures after laying premix complete all as specified and as directed.
Material and labour for hot applied thermoplastic road marking paint inclusive type I reflectorising glass beads as per table 800-3, 800-4 of MORT&H applied in uniform thickness of at least 1.5mm and spread uniformly with reflectorising glass beads type II @ 250 gms per sqm with a road marking machine as per IRC- 35,with traffic diversion arrangements if required complete as per MORT&H specification clause 803.4 complete all as specified and as directed.
M & L for continuous brick edging using class “B” old size bricks with width equal to width of bricks laid dry on end vertically including necessary earth work embedding bricks at required depth and tamping ground around brick and removal of surplus soil to a distance n exc 100 mtr including taking out old bricks complete all as specified and as directed.
Material and labour to carry out repair of the damaged runway/taxi track using the conventional runway rehabilitation system using dense asphaltic concrete (DAC-I) from HOT MIX PLANT to restore pavement for aircraft operations as per the following methodology complete all as specified & directed by Engineer-in-charge:- (i) Size of crater shall be of 3.5 to 4.00 mtr in dia and 1.5 to 2.00 mtr depth. (a) Excavation and preparation of required size crater as per site and removal soil/debris with the help of JCB/loader/excavator. (b) Dewatering (if required) and sealing the crater with the help of high pressure water pumps and suitable water proofing methods as per ground for further progressing the work. (c) Soil stabilization and filling up of the bottom portion of the crater with the stone boulders of maximum size 150mm upto appx 2.00 mtr depth in the layers not exceeding 300mm. (d) Laying and consolidation of granular sub-base course (GSBC) of consolidated thickness 200mm using 8 to 12 tonne power road rollers. (e) Laying and consolidating of wet mix macadam (WMM) of consolidated thickness 200mm using 8 to 12 tonne power road rollers. (f) Preparation of WMM surface and applying tack coat using paving bitumen grade VG-10 @ 10 kg per 10 Sqm. (g) Laying and consolidating 150mm thick dense asphaltic conctete (DAC-I) in two layers of 75mm each using 6% paving bitumen by weight of total mix as binder of grade VG- 30 and rolling with 8 to 12 tonne power road rollers.
Notes:- (i)The assessed time schedule for above activities is as under :- (a) Assessment by administrative as well as executive team- 1 Hrs (b) Mobilization of resources, men, material and T&P (Parallel activity)- 1 to 2 Hrs (c) Repair of crater- 3.5 Hrs (d) Clearance of site- 0.5 Hrs Total time envisaged to accomplish the tasks - 6 to 7 Hrs (ii) The rate quoted by bidder shall deemed to included for all activites stated here-in-above and no claim whatsoever shall be entertained on this account.

NOTES FOR SRL ITEM NO 9.00, 9.10, 10.00 AND 10.10:- (a) Rates are inclusive of all the T&P required to carry out the item of work which shall be mobilized within 30 minutes as and when intimated. However the assessed details of T&P for Srl item No 9 and 10 is specified in tender documents. Any variation in T&P and material as per ground condition will be the responsibility of contractor. Hence contractor to quote their rates keeping in view this aspect without any extra cost/claim to the Deptt. (b) The entire work under these items is to be carried out on immediate basis. For this a MOU as per format attached here-in-after is to be submitted by the contractor on Rs. 100/- Non judicial stamp paper at the time of quoting their rates failing which the tender shall be treated as INVALID. (c) The work of Srl item No 9.00 and 10.00 shall be completed within the given time frame as stated in the respective item. Hence contractor to quote their rates keeping in view this aspect without any extra cost to the Deptt since time is of the essence in this activity. (d) The contractor shall be intimated by Engr-in-charge regarding date and time of execution of work against these items so that contractor may mobilise his resources and T&P accordingly. (e) Also refer instructions specified in particular specifications, Sch 'A' Notes, Spl condition and Appx attched with tender documents
