Eligibility Criteria

Bidders shall not be under a declaration of ineligibility for corrupt and fraudulent practices issued by Government of Karnataka

It shall be the responsibility of the Bidder to ensure credit of Tender Processing Fee and EMD into the respective receiving bank accounts of e-Procurement on or before the last date and time of bid submission.

EMD Payments through e-Payment mode shall be made as one single transaction and payments made in part are liable for rejection.

The contractor shall carry out annual maintenance of all streetlights and high mast lights in all villages under Kodathi Grama Panchayat, including all electrical repair and maintenance works such as repair of installations, lights, rewiring, installation and reinstallation, borewell electrical connections, and repair of panels, switches, and wiring.

The contractor shall provide skilled electrician, required labour, and necessary machinery, including ladders, tools, vehicles, and crane for high mast works.

The contractor shall ensure daily availability of a skilled electrician and required labour in the Grama Panchayat area as per requirement, along with necessary vehicle and batta (daily allowance) for attending maintenance and complaint works, and no additional payment shall be made for the same

All complaints shall be attended within 24 hours, and emergency complaints shall be attended immediately.

The contractor shall carry out complete servicing of high mast lights, including operation of raising/lowering systems and shall arrange crane/lifting equipment. No separate payment shall be made.

The contractor shall provide minor materials such as DP switches, insulation tape, aluminium wire, fuse wire, connectors, etc., and the cost shall be included in the contract amount.

All major materials such as LED lights, cables, fittings, panels, and accessories shall be supplied by the Grama Panchayat.

If large quantity aluminium wire is required for secondary lines, it shall be supplied by the Grama Panchayat.

No additional payment shall be made for labour, batta, transport, machinery, or minor materials. All costs shall be included in the quoted amount.

The contractor shall attend streetlight failures, high mast breakdowns, and electrical faults immediately, including night time if required.

All works shall be carried out as per electrical safety standards, and the contractor shall be responsible for safety of workers and public.

Any damage, loss, or accident during execution shall be the sole responsibility of the contractor.

All works shall comply with BESCOM rules and regulations, and approvals shall be obtained wherever required.

The contractor shall provide all necessary tools, testing equipment, safety gear, and machinery required.

The bidder shall inspect the site and existing installations before submitting the tender, and no claim shall be entertained later.

The bidder shall submit a notarized affidavit on 100 stamp paper confirming agreement to tender conditions, site visit, non-blacklisting, and correctness of information.

The Grama Panchayat reserves the right to inspect the works at any time.

If the contractor fails to perform, the contract may be cancelled and action taken as per rules.

The contractor shall carry out works as per instructions of PDO / authorized officials.

Any electrical or streetlight-related work required during the contract period shall be carried out by the contractor without claiming any additional payment

The contractor shall supply and replace minor electrical materials whenever required, including DP switches, insulation tape, aluminium wire, fuse wire, connectors, and similar small materials, and the cost of the same shall be deemed to be included in the contract amount

Any electrical faults related to streetlights, borewell pumps, Panchayat buildings, and other public installations shall be attended immediately upon intimation, and the contractor shall ensure prompt rectification without delay.

If the contractor fails to attend complaints or rectify faults within the specified time, a penalty may be imposed or proportionate amount may be deducted from the bill as decided by the Grama Panchayat.

The contractor shall maintain a register of complaints received and works carried out, and submit the same for verification by the Grama Panchayat authorities.

The contractor shall not sublet or assign the work to any other agency without prior permission of the Grama Panchayat.

Past Experience

To qualify for Award of this contract, each Tenderer in its name should have in the last five years, i.e. 2019-20 to2023-24 satisfactorily completed as prime contractor, at least one similar work of value not less than Rs. 20Lakhs
