BTAP Rake Unloading : BTAP rake usually consists of 51/52 wagons loaded with Alumina powder, placed in Nalco siding by Port Railways in two halves i.e., 27 / 24 wagons on each side. The bidder shall do the unloading of the BTAP wagons in the specified time to the satisfaction of the Engineer-in-charge. The following are the broadly classified activities, but not limited to, involved in the BTAP wagons Unloading: a) Release of Vaccume from the Wagons after placement & inserting Skids, to prevent rolling back of wagons. b) Placement of Wagons, on each side though the operation of winching system, enabling connection of Delivery & Air Hoses c) Tightening of the hatch bolts. d) Closing of valves on the backside. e) Checking of Belt conveyors, Pull Cord switches etc prior to the operation of system & removal of the any hindrances for start up of the system f) Fixing of missing claw couplings & removal of the same, after completion of wagon unloading. g) Connecting of alumina discharge hoses & air hoses to wagons.. h) Unloading of the wagons from four unloading stations through Operation of equipment viz., Compressors, blowers, air slides, Belt conveyors etc from the operator cabin. i) Haulage of Wagons though motorized wagon haulage system j) Operation of Electrical equipments from centralized Electrical Control Room by competent persons k) Checking of wagons after unloading for emptiness l) Checking of equipment & operational parameters during running of the system m) Attending any breakdown of small nature that affects completion of Wagon Unloading. n) Removal of excessive spillage due to hose / coupling failure or Non-closing of discharge valves on the backside of the wagons. o) Any other activity not specified above, but required for successful Unloading of the wagons shall be in the scope of the bidder.The Job shall be carried out to the satisfaction of Engineer in charge.
Alumina Ship Loading : Loading of Alumina Powder from the silos to ships berthed at WQ-5 berth in VPT shall be done by carrying out the following broadly classified activities, but not limited to, on round the clock basis, till the completion of ship loading: a) Cleaning Ship loader rail track, Trial run of Conveyor system, Ship Loader etc prior to arrival of ship b) Removal Ship Loader anchorage before commencement of Ship Loading and parking & anchorage at the end of ship Loading c) Removal of rain cover cloth, tightening of clamping of the translating chute of the ship loader in the beginning of the operations and unclamping of the chute & covering with cloth at the end of ship loading operations. d) Operation & checking of Shipping side Belt Conveyor, compressors, blowers, air slides etc for transportation of alumina powder from silo to ship e) Checking of Belt conveyors, Pull Chords etc prior to the a. operation of system & removal of the any hindrances b. for start up of the system f) Removal of water & any other unwanted debris from the conveyor belts. g) Filling of oil in the Conveyor Hold back systems h) Operation of Ship Loader and Checking & rectification of Tripper wheels during LT movement i) Coordination on deck with ship chief officer for proper loading & ensuring safety of the ship loader during the operations. j) Collection of Spilled bags from chutes located at various transfer towers in Jumbo bags and transport of the same in company owned Tractor k) Unloading of the jumbo bags at the wagon unloading shed/Group -IV as per the requirement for uninterrupted bagging operations at the chutes during ship loading operations. l) Operation of Silo gates & other equipment located near silos during ship loading m) Checking of equipment & monitoring operational parameters during running of the system n) Operation of Electrical equipments from centralized Electrical Control Room & ship loader by competent persons o) Any other activity not specified, but required for successful ship loading shall be in the scope of bidder. p) Any breakdown of small nature that affects operation of Loading of Ship shall also be carried out. The Job shall be carried out to the satisfaction of Engineer in charge
Caustic Ship Unloading : Caustic Soda lye form the ships shall be unloaded & pumped to shore tanks by carrying out the following broadly classified activities, but not limited to, on round the clock basis till completion of Shipping a) Placement of Marine Unloading Arm using company owned tractor & making its connections ready before the arrival Caustic ship. b) Closing of Air release valve & its dummy mounted on the shipping line. c) Operation of valves & Pump house equipment for receiving the cargo in the storage tanks as decided by the Shift –in – charge and changing the tank connections as per the requirement. d) Connecting MUL to ship’s manifold e) Commencement of Cargo discharge to the designated shore tanks f) Operation of Sump pumps, valves, Tank equipment located in / near the Pump House as per the requirement g) Surveillance & watch of Pumping & Piping for any possible leaks during Cargo pumping h) Operation of Booster pump & emptying the line after pumping i) Disconnection of MUL, Bend pipe connections etc & Parking the same after successful completion of cargo discharge j) Emptying of Shipping line k) Online Checking of equipment & monitoring the operational parameters during Cargo discharge l) Any breakdown of small nature that affects operation of Unloading shall also be carried out. m) Any other activity not specified above , but required for successful Cargo unloading shall be in the scope of contractor The Job shall be carried out to the satisfaction of Engineer in charge
BTCS Rake Loading : BTCS wagons loading consists of the following broadly classified activities : a) Release of Vacuum from the Wagons after placement & inserting Skids b) Operation of Loading arms & Valves on loading platform c) Operation of Pumps & Valves in the pump house to load the cargo from the specified tanks into the BTCS wagons d) Filling of Wagons upto the level as per dip rod & removal of Loading arm from the wagons e) Haulage of wagons through motorized haulage system f) Sealing of wagons after completion of wagons filling g) Emptying of Loading line h) Operation of Sump pumps, valves, Tank equipment located in / near the Pump House as per the requirement i) Checking of equipment & measurement of operational parameters during running of the system j) Any breakdown of small nature that affects operation of loading shall also be carried out. k) Any other activity not specified, but required for successful Cargo loading shall be in the scope of bidder. The Job shall be carried out to the satisfaction of Engineer in charge
Maintenance: Maintenance of Plant equipment, systems, sub-assemblies etc as per the scope detailed at Annexure 3.The job shall be carried as per the maintenance schedules made time to time and the job shall be carried out to the satisfaction of the Engineer-in-Charge. It is envisaged that minimum manpower as mentioned below for 8 hours but not limited to, is required to carry out the above mentioned activities : Skilled Technician (Mill wright fitter) - 2 Nos. Skilled Technician ( Fitter) - 2 Nos. Skilled Technician (Welder Cum Gas cutter) - 1Nos. Skilled Technician (Electrician) -1Nos. (additionally 1 electrician for three days in a week) Skilled Technician (Rigger) - 2Nos Semi-Skilled Technician (Fitter) - 1 Nos. Semi-Skilled Technician (Rigger) - 1 Nos. The job shall be carried out to the satisfaction of Engineer-in-charge.
Assistance for operation & Maintenance of the plant & Equipment with deployment one Skilled (ELECT), One Skilled (MECH) & One Semi Skilled (MECH) in Each shift to carry out the following jobs a) BTAP / BTCS unloading / Loading operations along with the other supplied manpower on as & when required basis b) Caustic Ship / Alumina ship unloading / Loading operations along with the other supplied manpower on as & when required basis c) Group –IV operations for bagged Alumina Unloading d) Lorry tanker Loading with Caustic Soda Lye e) Assistance for winch operation during metal rake unloading f) Shifting & unloading of jumbo bags collected with Spilled Alumina Powder in Wagon shed / Group –IV area g) Maintenance related works to the satisfaction of E-I-C The Job shall be carried out to the satisfaction of Engineer in charge.
Deployment of Extra Manpower and Overtime: As & When required as per the exigencies of operation & maintenance works. Deployment for less than 8 hours shall be paid on Prorata basis considering actual hours of deployment.
a) Deployment of one Skilled worker for 8 Hours
b) Deployment of one Semi-Skilled worker for 8 Hrs
c) Deployment of one Unskilled worker for 8 Hours
