Visual Survey: Visual inspection for surface damages and damage classification. The visual inspection shall cover all areas of various distress patterns, such as corrosion, moisture, and leakage, including structural and non-structural issues and issues related to the durability of the structure. Visual inspection would be documented in the form of worksheets, photographic records, and distress marked over drawings (if provided by the client). Simple visual survey tools and instruments like cameras with flashlights, chisels, hammers, etc. will be used during the survey. Note: lf any additional tools, like laser-based instruments or drones, a hydra, a crane, or any special ladder more than 6 meters, will be required for the visual survey, that needs to be paid separately, considering the extra scope of work. Quantity of distress for BOQ measurement will be also considered another scope of work.
Rebound Hammer test for concrete: Uniformity of concrete in terms of surface hardness as per lS ASTM C 805-02, BS 6089:l981, BS 188l : Part 202, BS-EN:13791, and NIDM reference guidelines or lS 516 Part 5 section 4 2020. Note: ln the absence of the confirmatory test, estimated strength based on the rebound hammer number will be generated by using the basis of the empirical formula (obtained from the calibration chart or others), but those results will have a 25% variation as per lS 516 Part 5 Section 4 2020.
Ultrasonic Pulse Velocity Test for concrete: For ascertaining the quality of concrete, uniformity of concrete in terms of soundness and density of concrete as perASTM: C597-83, BS 6089: 1981, BS 1881: Part 203, BSN: 13791, lS 516 Part 5 Section 12018.
Chemical analysis of concrete powder collected from the structure or concrete core sample/ by drilling to understand the deterioration of structure due to chemical attack and its effect on reinforcement corrosion with evaluation of the following parameters. a) Water Soluble Chloride Content % (by ol mass of concrete) to check the risk of corrosion due to present chloride % as per lS: 14959 (Par|2) - 2001,8.S.5328 Part 1,ACl201.2R-92, BS 1881 Part 124:1988, BS 8110, lS 456:2000 b) pH Value (to check alkalinity of concrete) as per relevant B.S. 5328, ACI 201.2R-92 and ACI-318-99, lS 456:2000, BS 8110 c) Acid Soluble Sulphate Content % (by of mass of cement) to check risk of column buckling (due to volume increment of concrete) as perrelevant BS 5328 code, BS 1881 Part 124:1988, BS 8110, IS 456:2000
Report submission with lnterpretation and Recommendation: Preparing and submitting comprehensive report consisting of findings from visual inspection, test data, interpretation of results, conclusions and final recommendations along with sketch indicating the location of the test. Recommendation part does not include the repair scheme/DPR or BOQ related to the project. Note:- The HD quality site photographs and Video shall be provided to employer in a good quality of CD/DVD/USB hard disk along with softcopy but any data generated from the patented software can not be edited so those files can not be provided in the editable format like graphs, design output, backend algorithm etc
