Repair Maintenance work of refractory lining of Wesman furnace in 06-Shop in BHEL, HPEP Factory, RC Puram, Hyderabad

Charges for - (i) dismantling of old refractory bricks at all heights and elevations from Furnace walls, Bogie (wagon) etc., disposing the debris within a lead of 2 km within the Factory Area as directed by Engineer-In-Charge. The rate includes hire charges of all machinery, equipment, labour, loading, unloading, transportation etc. (ii) cleaning and recovering possible old bricks and stacking the same for reuse. (iii) Charges for installation of new bricks by applying new “40% High Alumina Refractory Bricks” in Furnace and “Hot Face Insulation Bricks & Cold Face Insulation Bricks” using Thermotex Refractory Mortar and/or Refractory Super Castable, as applicable. The rate includes cost for labour, consumables, cutting, preparing surface neat & clean for installation of new bricks, transportation of bricks and binding material from BHEL stores, loading, unloading, handling, placement and construction to form required size and shape as per site condition etc., all complete as directed by the Engineer-In-Charge. Only Bricks and binding material will be issued free of cost by BHEL at BHEL Stores.

Supply of new 40% High Alumina Refractory Bricks sustainable between 1200°C and 1450°C complying IS: 8 or more advanced including submission of Manufacturer's Test Certificate of the material. The rate includes cost for transportation, loading, unloading and proper stocking at BHEL Stores inside Factory with proper recording of material at K-Gate of the Factory, complete all as directed by Engineer-In-Charge. Make: TATA, Dalmia, Mahakausal, Universal refractories or any other brand as approved by the Engineer-In-Charge.

Supply of new Hot Face Insulation Bricks of standard size 230X115X75mm/ 230X125X75mm complying IS: 2042 or more advanced (Grade-A) including submission of Manufacturer's Test Certificate of the material. The rate includes cost for transportation, loading, unloading and proper stocking at BHEL Stores inside Factory with proper recording of material at K-Gate of the Factory, complete all as directed by Engineer-In-Charge. Make: TATA, Dalmia, Mahakausal, Universal refractories or any other brand as approved by the Engineer-In-Charge.

Supply of Cold Face Insulation Bricks of standard size 230X115X75mm/ 230X125X75mm complying IS: 2042 or more advanced (Grade-B / Grade-C bricks) including submission of Manufacturer's Test Certificate of the material. The rate includes cost for transportation, loading, unloading and proper stocking at BHEL Stores inside Factory with proper recording of material at K-Gate of the Factory, complete all as directed by Engineer-In-Charge. Make: TATA, Dalmia, Mahakausal, Universal refractories or any other brand as approved by the Engineer-In-Charge.

Supply of Thermotex Refractory Mortar complying IS: 195 or more advanced including submission of Manufacturer's Test Certificate of the material. The rate includes cost for transportation, loading, unloading and proper stocking at BHEL Stores inside Factory with proper recording of material at K-Gate of the Factory, complete all as directed by Engineer-In-Charge. Make: TATA, Dalmia, Mahakausal, Universal refractories or any other brand as approved by the Engineer-In-Charge.

Supply of Refractory Super Castable complying relavent Indian Standard for material and testing including submission of Manufacturer's Test Certificate of the material. The rate includes cost for transportation, loading, unloading and proper stocking at BHEL Stores inside Factory with proper recording of material at K-Gate of the Factory, complete all as directed by Engineer-In-Charge. Make: TATA, Dalmia, Mahakausal, Universal refractories or any other brand as approved by the Engineer-In-Charge.

Demolishing all grades of Plain / Reinforced Cement Concrete including cutting of reinforcement steel bars and removal by mechanical means if required, and disposing the debris within a lead of 2 km within the Factory Area as directed by Engineer-In-Charge. The rate includes hire charges of all machinery / equipment, cutting of steel, labour, unloading, transportation.

Dismantling steel work in built up sections in angles, tees, flats, plates, channels etc., including all gusset plates, bolts, nuts, cutting rivets, welding, rail lines, rail switches, turnouts, crossings, levers, springs, fish plates, clamps, stoppers, EOT / Gantry crane stoppers, DSLs, clamping bars, clamping beds etc., including dismembering, loading, unloading, transportation and stacking in factory scrap yard upto 2 km lead or to new location for re-erection as directed by the Engineer-In-Charge. The rate includes labour, welding rods, scaffolding and all other consumables. Only cutting gas will be provided free of cost by BHEL at respective stores. Note: In case of re-fabrication & re-erction, fabrication & erection charges for the quantity of work done shall be paid separately.

Earth work in excavation in all soils by mechanical means (Hydraulic Excavators) / manual means in all works & areas including foundations, trenches, drains, sumps, pits etc., including dressing of sides and ramming of bottoms, including getting out the excavated soil and disposal of surplus excavated soil as directed, within a lead of 50m complete all as directed by the Engineer-In-Charge.

- up to first additional depth of 1.51 m to 3.00 m.

Earth work in excavation by mechanical means (Hydraulic Excavators) / manual means in all works & areas foundations, trenches, drains, sumps, pits etc., in all depths including disposal of excavated earth, lead upto 50 m, disposing earth to be levelled and neatly dressed, for Hard Rock (Blasting prohibited) complete all as directed by the Engineer-In-Charge. - Involves excavation in all rocks including medium to hard Rock breaking.

Conveyance of lime, moorum and all kinds of building rubbish up to a lead of 2 km, including loading, transportation, unloading and spreading etc. complete as directed by Engineer-In-Charge.

Conveyance of earth, excavated soil etc., up to a lead of 2 km, including loading, transportation, preparing dumping yard for unloading, unloading, spreading, levelling, dozing etc., complete all as directed by the Engineer-In-Charge.

Conveyance of excavated rock up to a lead of 2 km, including loading, transportation, preparing dumping yard for unloading, unloading, spreading, levelling, dozing etc., complete all as directed by the Engineer-In-Charge.

Fabrication of Structural Steel work including all materials going into the process of fabrication and forming an integral part of steel work together with all shop and site rivets and electrodes for site welding as necessary and all site connections like sag rods, beams, girders, plates, flats, channels, anchors, anchor rods, anchor fasteners, levers, clamps, CR 120 / 100 / 80 Rail lines / suitable rails (52 kg/m) for - EOT Cranes, Gantry Cranes, Rail tracks, check rails, turnouts, crossings, fish plates, MS nuts, bolts, washers, springs, wedges, supply of Foundation bolts for Clamping bars / Clamping Bess/ Machine foundations etc., of required dia and length conforming to IS 1367, screws, wedge plates, packing pieces, chains, links, cleats, bracings, trusses and frame work for fixed false ceiling and for movable false ceiling, purlins with channel, angles, MS flat supports including all connections as per detailed drawings connected steel works etc., cleats, gusset plates, all bolts, nuts, washers, base plates, Clamping Bars, Clamping Beds, required fasteners of Clamping Bars & Beds, as per detailed drawings, cutting, welding before erection etc., complete. The rate shall include painting 2 coat of Red-oxide primer as per IS specifications (except rails etc.,) and all charges for handling, leading, loading, unloading, transportation, including all. No payment for wastage i.e., material which do not become integral part of the steel work shall be paid. Erection charges shall be paid separately. Cost also includes making required threading & machining of foundation bolts to required size. Required cutting gases will be issued free of cost by BHEL at respective stores. All welding rods are in Contractor scope.

Only raw materials like Structural Steel sections, foundation bolts, anchor bolts etc., will be issued free of cost by BHEL at BHEL Stores. The rate includes consumables, loading, transportation, unloading, weighment of material.

All kinds of raw materails like all kinds & sizes of Structural steel sections, all sizes of foundation bolts, anchor bolts, fish plates & bolts, rail clamps & bolts, tie rods, rail line levers, rail line switches complete set etc., are in Contractor scope. Structural Steel members other than Rails, Bolts, anchors, washers etc., shall be conforming to IS 2062. Make: SAIL / RINL / TATA / JINDAL or as approved by the Engineer-In-Charge.

Erection of all kinds of Structural Steel work including wedges, plates, EOT / Gantry Rails, foundation bolts of Clamping bars / Clamping beds / Machine foundations etc., or any other BHEL Free issue material required for the work like Clamping Bars, Clamping beds, Rails etc., to alignment to 0.1mm/m accuracy including its sorting, loading, unloading, transportation from BHEL Stores, machining, if required, etc., or as directed by Engineer-In-Charge including charges for transportation from Contractor / BHEL Stores, handling, leading and stacking at site at approved locations prior to erection including all site levelling, rivetting, bolting, jointing and site welding where ever required. Required cutting gases will be issued free of cost by BHEL at respective stores. All welding rods are in Contractor scope.

Erection works at all heights and elevations up to 15.00 m above ground level / finished floor level, including erection works up to all depths below ground level / finished floor level.

Providing and laying in position Plain Cement Concrete of specified grade excluding the cost of centering and shuttering including consolidation by vibrations for all works up to plinth level. All materials including Cement and required equipment are in Contractor scope. Only 43 or 53 Grade OPC is permitted.

all works up to top of Floor-V level with 1 : 2 : 4 (1 cement : 2 coarse sand : 4 graded stone aggregate of 20 mm nominal size)

Providing and laying in position Plain / Reinforced Cement Concrete 1 : 1½ : 3 (1 cement : 1½ coarse sand : 3 graded stone aggregate of 20 mm nominal size) excluding the cost of centring and shuttering, including consolidation by vibrations . Aggregate shall be conforming to IS 383. All materials including cement and required equipment are in Contractor scope. Only 43 or 53 Grade OPC is permitted.

Charges for placing Reinforcement for R.C.C. work including straightening, cutting, bending, placing in position and binding grills with binding wire all complete by cold twisted bars / TMT Bars of Fe 500 or above grade at all heights and elevations. All materials and required equipment are in Contractor scope. Only Steel Reinforcement will be issued free of cost by BHEL at BHEL stores.

Centering and shuttering including scaffolding, strutting, propping for slabs, beams, columns, retaining walls, trenches, pockets for foundation bolts, anchor bolts etc., and for all kinds of concrete works etc., and removal of form work without causing any damage to the concrete, all as directed by the Engineer-In-Charge.

all works above top of Plinth level upto top of Floor-V level or upto 15m above ground level

Brick work with Ground moulded clay FPS brick in super structure upto top of Floor-V level in cement mortar 1:6 (1 cement : 6 Coarse sand). Cost includes placing two 6 / 8 mm dia steel reinforcement bars in every fourth layer in case of half brick wall. Cost of placing steel bars shall be paid separately under steel reinforcement. All materials, equipment, scaffolding including Cement are in Contractor's scope. Cement: OPC 43 or OPC 53 Grade are permitted

Plastering in CM 1:6, 20 mm thick to internal and external surfaces of walls, ceilings including the cost of all materials, labour, curing etc, complete - upto all levels. All materials, equipment, scaffolding including Cement and required equipment are in Contractor scope. Only 43 or 53 Grade OPC is permitted.

Plastering in CM 1:4, 12 mm thick to internal and external surfaces of walls, ceilings including the cost of all materials, labour, curing etc., complete - upto 10.00 m level. All materials, equipment, scaffolding including Cement and required equipment are in Contractor scope. Only 43 or 53 Grade OPC is permitted.

Supply and fixing Rabbit / Chicken Mesh in position at all heights as directed by Engineer-In-Charge. The rate includes all consumables, nails, screws etc.

Providing Granolithic topping of 25 mm thick using 1 part cement and 1 part granite stone chips by volume of 10 mm down graded laid over base concrete when it is in green condition and ironite finishing 12 mm thick using a mix of 50 kg of ironite, 200 kg of cement and 0.30 Cu.m of granite stone chips / metal of 6 mm down graded including cost of form work, granite chips, ironite, labour, machinery, curing etc., complete as directed by Engineer-In-Charge. All materials including Cement and required equipment are in Contractor scope. Only 43 or 53 Grade OPC is permitted.

Supply and applying two or more coats Painting with Synthetic Enamel / Aluminium paint of required shade applied at 4.85 litres / 1MT [or 1.16x41.8/10 = 4.85] to give an even shade on old & new surfaces at all heights & elevations on all material surfaces including thorough cleaning and scraping the old & new surfaces complete as directed by the Engineer-In-Charge. All materials, required scaffolding and all other incidentals are in Contractor scope. Make: Asian / Nerolac / Berger / Indigo

Charges for engaging JCB [or] Chain wheel mounted light machine dozer [or] 10-14 T Hydra Crane [or] Scissor Lift with or without extended platform [or] Sky Lift with basket to work, for dozing, levelling, lifting the men & material, handling equipment to reach up to a height of 10 metres, as directed by Engineer-In-Charge. Rate includes Operator, fuel, helpers, slingers etc., including all incidentals for handling the work.
