Revamping of 2 x 500 KVA Indoor Substation at TE Medical College, Trivandrum (Phase 1 - SITC of ACB Panel and associated cabling works)

Supply, installation, testing and commissioning of extensible cubicle type, floor mounting M.V panel ( Form-IV) suitable for 415V, 3 phase, 4 wire, 50Hz, AC supply system fabricated in compartmentalized design from CRCA sheet of 2 mm thick for frame work and covers, 3 mm thick for gland plates i/c powder coating with approved shade and having 1000 A 4 Strip Aluminium bus bars of high conductivity, DMC/ SMC bus bar supports, bottom base channel of MS sections not less than 100 mm x 50 mm x 5 mm thick, entire panel shall have a common copper earth bar of size 25 mm x 5 mm at the rear with 2 nos earth stud, solid connections from main bus bars to switch gears with required size of Al. bus bars as per standards and control wiring with 1.5 mm2 PVC insulated copper conductor FRLS cable , cable alleys, cable gland plates at top, bottom base channel and channel across the cable duct i/c providing following switch gears etc as per specifications attached. Note: 1) The panel drawing shall be got approved from the Engineer in charge before fabrication and shall be conforming to Kerala State Electrical Inspectorate guidelines 2) The panel shall be designed in such a way that there shall be provision for cable entry at top and bottom side of panel.3)The panel shall have required provision for accomodating the PLC system mentioned under Sl No: 02

(a) Incoming: (i) 3Nos. Microprocessor based 800 A, 415V, 50 KA, 4 Pole EDO ACB with standard accessories like 6 NO + 6 NC auxiliary contact, Shunt release, UV Coil, safety shutter assembly, racking handle, door sealing frame, push button cover and rating error preventer along with Low set earthfault relay with CT at nuetral earthing having differential time settings (Tr - 1, TR - 2 and DG common Incomer). Make:L& T,C Power S1 Microprocessor Based SR18G/Similar superior make approved by BSNL (ii) CT with suitable rating for the above feeders for control of APFC Panel - 2 sets (iii) Summation CT with suitable rating for the above feeders for connection of 2 Transformers to 1 APFC Panel - 1 set (iv) Electrical Interlocks shall be provided with control wiring to permit closing of only one Incomer at a time. Mechanical interlock with castle key mechanism shall be provided in addition to electrical interlock for all the incomers. Arrangement shall be made for automatic operation of breakers when in PLC mode.

Metering (i) 3 Nos. AC Digital type multifunction meter with 3 CTs -/ 5A class 0.5 rating for measurement of Voltage, Current, Frequency, power factor, KW, KWH, with three line Display & with RS 485 port(1No.for each incomer ) (M/s L&T 4405 or Similar Superior make) Note: Multifunction meter shall be mounted in separate compartment .

(b) Outgoings: (i) 6 Nos. Microprocessor based 315 A,415V, 36 KA, 4 Pole MCCB with adjustable overload setting from 0.4 to 1.0 x In,Adjustable short-circuit setting from 1.5 to 8 x Ir, Inbuilt instantaneous Protection,Ics=100% Icu with standard accessories like necessary spreader terminals, extended rotary handle etc. - 01 No etc - ( 3 Nos. for power plant ,1 No. to extsing MV panel and 2 Nos.Spare)Make: L&T DN3-400D with Microprocessor Release MTX1.0/Similar superior make approved by BSNL (ii) 250A. 415 V 36 kA breaking capacity 4 Pole Thermal Magnetic release MCCB with with adjustable O/L 0.8 -1 xIn & SC 6-10 Ir, accessories like necessary spreader terminals, extended rotary handle etc. - 01 No (For APFC Panel) Make:L & TDN2-250D with Thermal - Magnetic Release Similar superior make approved by BSNL (iii) 400A 415 V, TPN Switch disconnectorwith neceaasry accessories , door interlock, rotary handle etc. Qty-1No (For Fire Fighting System)

(c) Bus Bar (i) Bus Bars : 4 Strip Aluminum bus bars of minimum 1000 A capacity with heat shrinkable colour coded sleeves and i/c DMC / SMC bus bar supports at required intervals

(e) Indications (i) LED type indicators for R Y B.-3 sets (For 3 Nos Incomers) (ii) LED type indicators for "ACB ON" and "ACB OFF".-3 sets (For 3 Nos Incomers)

Supply of armoured, Aluminium conductor XLPE UG power cable of 1.1 KV grade with ISI mark conforming to IS 7098 (Part I) amended up to date as per the following complete as required

Laying of one number PVC insulated and PVC sheathed / XLPE power cable of 1.1 KV grade of following size in the existing masonry open duct as required.

Laying of one number PVC insulated and PVC sheathed / XLPE power cable of 1.1 KV grade of following size in the existing RCC/ HUME/ METAL pipe as required.

Above 185 sq. mm and upto 400 sq. mm

Laying and fixing of one number PVC insulated and PVC sheathed / XLPE power cable of 1.1 KV grade of following size on cable tray as required

Supplying and installing following size of perforated painted with powder coating M.S. cable trays with perforation not more than 17.5%, in convenient sections, joined with connectors, suspended from the ceiling with M.S. suspenders including bolts & nuts, painting suspenders etc. as required.

Modification of the existing TR LV Boxes to suit termination of 3R of 3½C x 400 Sqmm Armoured cable (Top Entry) including providing required size Adapter box fabricated out of 2 mm thick CRCA sheets (with necessary angle iron stiffeners if required) and 3 mm thick gland plates including providing required extension of Transformer LT terminals, providing required insulator supports etc complete as required. (Drawings shall be got approved by Engineer - in - Charge before commencement of fabrication) (Approximate size of the Adapter box 600mm (h) x 600 mm (b) x 300 mm (depth)

Dismantling of the existing Bus Trunkings (2 sets) and stalking it at a convenient location in the TE Building including handing over the same to the Building -in-Charge

Relocation of the existing APFC Panel From the present location in the Substation Room to a new loaction including disconnecting the Electrical Cable, Removing the foundation bolts / fixing etc, shifting and Installing it at the new location in the same room etc complete as required

Arranging 250/320 KVA trolley mounted DG set in acoustic canopy on daily rental basis for providing temporary electric supply to the TE Building during modification work including making necessary Electrical Connections using proper electric cables, providing temporary earthing etc and arranging DG Set operator etc complete as required. All consumableshas to be supplied by the contractor except Diesel, which will be provided by BSNL.

Note : The above work involves transfering of cables from existing MV panel to new panel. The work shall be carried out without affecting the smooth functioing of exchange .Intermittent shut down will be arranged by the Engineer in charge for smooth migration to new MV panel
