SCOPE OF WORK: PROVIDING COURIER SERVICES FOR TRANSPORTATION OF MTM SAMPLE

FROM BPCL BAITALPUR DEPOT TO BPCL KANPUR LAB

As per IQCM, it is mandatory to test the MTM samples collected from tanks for quality assurance

purposes. Therefore it is required to have these samples transported to BPCL Kanpur Laboratory for

their testing once in a month

In view of above, courier services are required to transport these MTM samples to Kanpur lab once in

No. of sample boxes - approx. 50 no’s; Weight of one box- approx.2.2 kg

Delivery address- KANPUR POL DEPOT, BHAUNTI, NH-2, KALPI ROAD, PANKI, KANPUR

TOTAL DISTANCE: 822 KM APPROX (To and fro)

Vendor needs to quote the rates for the same subjected to terms and conditions:

1. TERMS AND CONDITIONS

1.1 The sample boxes need to be protected against tempering, any damage to plastic seals is

punishable and vendor will be held responsible for any petition filed in court of law related to this

1.2 A 1kg DCP/ABC type fire extinguisher must be present inside vehicle as material being transported

is inflammable.

1.3 1.3 Sample boxes must be delivered within 24 hours from the time of dispatch without bypassing

any of safety measure.

1.4 Quotation price will include all the road toll charges. No separate toll charges will be Processed.

2 INDEMNITY CLAUSE

2.1 The Contractor shall indemnify and keep indemnified the Company, and its every member, Officer

and staff against all actions, proceedings, claims, costs and expenses whatsoever in respect of or

arising out of any failure or default by the Contractor in due performance of his obligations under this

contract and undertake to see that BPCL are absolved of any liabilities whatsoever to any third party

on account of this contract.

3 PENALTY CLAUSES:

In case of non-fulfillment of defined conditions BPCL can impose the following penalty clauses:

3.1 Time is the essence of contract. In case of delayed delivery of the services at any point of contract,

the prices paid to the contractor gets reduced by a sum equivalent to 0.5% of the basic value of

services(as mentioned in contract) not delivered for every week of delay or part thereof, limited to a

maximum of 5% of the basic value of contract.

3.2 In case the contractor fails to cope up with the work or does not render effective services, the contract

awarded to him shall be terminated by giving a 15 days prior notice, without assigning any reason

thereof and his security deposit and payment due to him, if any, shall be forfeited.

3.3 Contractor has to ensure that worker appointed by him should not report to work eating any form of

tobacco like cigarette, gutka, bidi, supari, zarda etc. or taking any kind intoxicated product, in that case

that worker will be immediately dismissed from his service and will not be allowed to continue any

3.4. If during the contact period, the service is found unsatisfactory the contract will be terminated with

one month’s prior notice. BPCL reserves the right to terminate the contract with one manth's notice

without assigning any reason thereof. The contractor cannot claim any compensation/damages for

4 PAYMENT TERMS:

4.1 Payment shall be made against monthly bills, based on actual executed quantities and due

certification by BPCL.

4.2 Necessary TDS, WCT Service Tax or any other government levy / taxes would be deducted from

the bill on net amount payable as per the prevailing rate as applicable while passing the bill.

4.3 Service tax shall be paid on production of documentary evidence for registration with sales

tax department for the specified service. 4.4 BPCL will endeavor to make the payment within 30 days

of receipt of bills along with supporting log sheets, duly certified for payment. It has to be strictly taken

into consideration that contractor need not to follow-up for the payment within 30 days from the date

of submission of bill.

4.5 Payment would be released only by NEFT mode directly to the account number provided to BPCL

Successful Tenderer shall be required to furnish NEFT mandate form.

5 COMPLETION PERIOD:

5.1 Initial contract will be for a period of one year from date of finalization of contract and same can

be extended for further period of one year with same rates, terms and condition of contract with

mutual consent of both parties.
