Replacement of damaged window glass panes in different departmental flats at Anushakti Abasan, Hudco, Purbasha including maintenance of aluminium door and window shutters in all three campuses of VECC (i.e. Bidhanagar, Rajarhat and MCF Chakgaria).

Providing all manpower, tools tackles, consumables etc for repair of single/double leaf glazed aluminium doors varying from approximately 1.90 Sqm to 5.00 Sqm in area at all level and location, removing carefully from its existing position, checking all joints, drilling holes on aluminum sections, providing rubber gasket, self tapping steel screws for strengthening joints (if required), re-hanging shutters including providing repair/replacement of cast iron body floor springs, removing damaged parts, cleaning carefully, renewing screws, replacing pivots wherever required, adjusting floor spring for smooth operation etc, complete including scaffolding etc. as required and as directed by Engineer- In Charge.

Providing material, labour, tools etc. for repair of existing fully glazed aluminium windows (both Casement & Sliding) shutter having area in between 0.45 Sqm to 0.65 Sqm at all level and location, dismantling window shutter from existing position, removing glass panes carefully, repairing/replacing aluminium handles, (to be provided by contractor) providing rivets for fixing handles securely with aluminium frame of shutter, providing and fixing flat rubber to window frame and suitable rubber gasket alround to glazing clip with adhesive, fixing new PVC cleat, cleaning entire framework, refixing glass and re-hanging shutter including replacement of damaged hinges / rollers (to be provided by contractor) for smooth operation of window etc. complete including scaffolding etc. as required and as directed by Engineer- In Charge.

Supplying and fixing in position at all floors integrated white matt/bronze or other colour anodized (of thickness 15µ)/finished aluminum extruded sections of Hindalco / Jindal or other approved equivalent Indian make sections/ aluminium grill etc. conforming to relevant IS specifications with size and weights as shown for frames and shutters for following types of Aluminium wall spans windows ( Sliding, fixed or hinged) and door units consisting of door shutters and fixed glazed / pre-laminated particle board fixing with approved anodized aluminum fittings and fastenings, all as shown in drawings, consisting of combined door frames and fixed glazing, mullions, transoms, with neoprene dry set glazing gaskets/EPDM rubber gasket with snap in beveled metal glazing stops inside and outside the standard sections, including providing and fixing brass body mortise lock with 4 levers with duplicate stainless keys, shutters mounted approved handles, concealed type tower bolts, buffers, stoppers providing suitable arrangement on pivots for smooth movement of door shutter and fixing 6 mm. thick special selected quality plain glass of M/S Modi Guard or approved equivalent Indian make including providing & fixing aluminum channel beading /glazing clip fixed with two way PVC lining/EPDM rubber gasketing to ensure water and air tightness, providing decorative SS matt pull handle of M/S HAFELE or equivalent Indian make 32 dia up to 600 mm long or as desired on both sides of each leaf of door make M/S HAFELE or equivalent Indian make, bolted with stainless steel bolts to aluminum doors, necessary fixing arrangement, cutting, making holes, threading, jointing by welding, bolting/screwing, including providing necessary scaffolding etc. complete transport, tools and plants necessary anodized screws etc, all as per drawings and as directed by EIC. NB: All fitting fixture including friction stay (to carry 50kg max weight of each leaf of windows of maximum width 1.2mx1.2m height) should be premium quality under brand M/s HAFELE or M/s EBCO contractor should include the cost during quoting. Note: ( i) Only extruded sections will be measured for payment. Rate shall include cost for all fittings & fixtures, fasteners, cleat, locks, door / window handle etc. (ii) Minimum anodizing thickness on all extruded section should not be less than 15 µ (micron). (iii) Payment shall be made per Kg. basis. Aluminium sections such as frame work/ aluminium grills etc. shall only be measured linearly as per actual/finish cutting size nearest to centimeter and multiplied with actual sectional weight of the individual section and the total quantity of aluminium section will be arrived at for payment without extra allowance for wastage. (iv) No separate payment for fittings such as locking arrangement, hinges, fittings and fixtures, gasket, cleat , handles, push/pull plate etc. shall be made nor measured for payment, Tenderers are requested to consider the cost of all fittings, fixtures, locking arrangement cleat gasket, screws, hinges etc. while quoting the rate for unit weight for aluminum sections. (v) Glass /prelaminated (both side) exterior grade particle board will be paid separately in relevant item
