ROAD Compacting original ground supporting embankment Loosening, leveling and Compacting original ground supporting embankment to facilitate placement of first layer of embankment, scarified to a depth of 150 mm, mixed with water at OMC and then compacted by rolling so as to achieve minimum dry density as given in Table 300-2 & 300-1for embankment construction. (Reference to MoRT&H's specification clause 305.3.4).

Construction of Embankment with Material obtained from Borrow pits Construction of embankment with approved material obtained from borrow pits with all lifts and leads, transporting to site, spreading,grading to required slope and compacting to meet requirement of table 300-2 & 300-1 .The size course material in the mix of earth ordinarily shall not be exceed 75mm.(Reference to MoRT&H's specification clause 305) Cost of compensation for Earth material & its carriage from private land at 5km distance have been included in the rate.

Construction of granular sub-base by providing graded materials such as natural sand/crushed gravel/crushed stone/combination depending upon the required grading , spreading in uniform layers with motor grader on prepared surface, mixing by mix in place method with rotavator and compacting with vibratory roller toachieve at least 98% of the maximum dry density for the material determined as per IS:2720 (Part 8), complete as per clause 401 desire density, complete as per clause 401 Rate per cum for grading-III Material.

Water Bound Macadam Providing, laying, spreading and compacting stone aggregates of specific sizes to water bound macadam specification including spreading in uniform thickness, hand packing, rolling with 3 wheeled steel/ vibratory roller 8-10 tonnes in stagesto proper grade and camber, applying and brooming requisite type ofscreening/ binding Materials to fill up the interstices of coarse aggregate,watering and compacting to the required density (Reference to MoRT&H's specification 404). 9A By Manual Means 9A(ii) Grading-2 (Table 400-9) 9A (ii)(b) Using Screening (Table 400-10) Type-B (11.2 mm aggregate)

Plain/Reinforced cement concrete in open foundation complete all including vibrating and compacting,finishing, curing, sampling, testing etc. as per drawing and Technical Specifications (Reference toMORT&H's specifications 1500, 1700 &2200). PCC Grade M30 Using Concrete Mixer 1) Add 3.5% extra cost as formwork over cost of material. 2) Needle Vibrator is an item of minor T & P which is already included in overhead charges. Hence not added in rate analysis of cement concrete works.

CROSS DRAIN Excavation for Structures Earth work in excavation of foundation of structures as per drawing and technical specification, including setting out, construction of shoring and bracing, removal of stumps and other deleterious matter, dressing of sides and bottom, backfilling the excavation earth to the extent required and utilising the remaining earth locally for road work (Reference to MoRT&H's specification clause 304). 13(i) Ordinary soil 13(i)A Manual Means (Depth upto 3 m) with dewatering

Sand filling in foundation trenches and at the back of abutments, wing-walls etc. with good local sand free from earth in layers not exceeding 15 cm. including inundating each layer by profuse water and poking and ramming layer by layer complete including supply of sand. Quality of sand is to be approved by the Engineer-in-charge.

Supplying and laying Polythene Sheet (150gm / sq.m.) over damp proof course or below flooring or roof terracing or in foundation or in foundation trenches.

PCC 1:3:6 in Foundation Plain cement concrete 1:3:6 nominal mix in foundation with crushed stone aggregate 40 mm nominal size mechanically mixed, placed in foundation and compacted by vibration including curing for 14 days (Reference to MORT&H's specification 2100). Note Vibrator is a part of minor T & P which is already included in overhead charges of the contractor.
