SPECIAL REPAIR OF AUTOMATIC POWER FACTOR CORRECTION PANEL FOR IMPROVEMENT OF POWER FACTOR AT PALAMPUR MIL STN.

Amount

Excavation in trenches n exc 1.5 m wide and n exc 1.5 mtr in depth for laying cables, foundation of poles, stays etc and getting out in any type of soil complete all as specified and directed.

Returning, filling in (soil) including spreading, levelling, watering and well ramming in layers not exc 25 cm in any type of soil complete all as specified and directed.

Removal of excavated material (soil) to a distance n exc. 50m and depositing where directed at a level n exc. 1.5m above the starting point complete all as specified and as directed.

Sand cushioning to underground cable as per clause No 19.75 of SSR Part-I laid with a layer of sand 8 cm before laying the cable and 15 cm after laying the cable. The top layer of 15cm shall be punned to 10 cm (total 18 cm) complete all as specified and directed.

Sub class ‘B’ brick old size protection cover laid dry flat transversally along the length of cable on cushioning with width equal to the length of brick complete all as specified and directed.

GI tubing (light grade) with all fitting laid in trenches or along pole/bldg or under road crossing and protection pipe or fixed alongwith wall/pole with necessary clamp nut bolt and washer bore of pipe 40mm complete all as specified and directed.

Supply and laying or fixing or passing through pipe or laid in trenches, 1100 Volt grade heavy duty cable XLPE insulated, armoured electric cable with aluminium conductor ,cross-sectional area 70 sq.mm 3.5 core including taking out old unserviceable cable complete all as directed by Engineer-in-charge.

Earthing with galvanized steel earth plate electrode 60cmx60cmx6mm thick, buried directly in ground (earth pit not less than 2.25 mtr deep below normal ground level) with top edge of the earth plate not less than 1.5 mtr deep below normal ground level, connected to galvanized iron strip of size 32x6mm as earthing lead by means of bolts, nuts, check nuts and washers of galvanised iron or steel complete with 40mm dia light grade protection pipe, 20mm dia GI light grade watering pipe with funnel including char coal dust, salt, PCC 1:2:4 in pit with precast RCC M-15 cover reinforced with XPM not less then 4.00 Kg per sqm including necessary earth work in any type of soil, removal of surplus soil to a distance not exc 50m, returning filling in complete as shown in electrical plate No 3 of SSR Part-I (2009), and connected to earthing test point all as specified or indicated, including testing on completion. NOTE: The rates for earthing includes the cost of earth lead and protection pipe upto 7.50m length.
