Excavation in foundation, trenches ( for pipes & pits) upto all depths in all classification of earth work such as pick work, jumper work, saturated soil including bailing and pumping out water, blasting soft/ hard rock or chieselling soft/hard rock where blasting is prohibited in all lifts including trimming and dressing of sides, leveling of beds to correct grade i/c shoring /strutting , planking, timbering & dewatering wherever required, stacking the useable & unuseable material /soil separately & after laying jointing & testing of pipes, returning the useable soil in trenches in 15 cm layers including consolidating of such deposited layer by ramming & watering & then disposing of all surplus excavated soil /unusable material as directed with in all leads & lifts including restoration unmetalled surfaces to its original condition & including cost of diversion for traffic, night signals, fixing caution boards, crossing over trenches for access to houses, fencing etc. complete in all respects with in all leads & lifts as per directions of Engineer-in-Charge.

Laying, jointing and testing in trenches MSERW flanged pipe of following diametre confirming to IS-1978-1982 steel grade YST-240 with upto date ammendments of following grade and wall thickness as specified below made from parent tube in the length of random length of 4 mtrs to 7 mtrs. including special short pieces etc. capable of withstanding required test pressure.The pipe shall be jointed by providing nuts and bolt of suitable size along with compressed asbestos fibre/ synthatic rubber jointing gasket confirming to relevant BIS standards. The job will include all operation such as cutting, welding and jointing of flanged pipe with nut and bolts and gasket between each flanges joint. The job shall also include carriage of flanged pipes from road head at Tikkan to the site of work, lowering and laying of pipe in excavated trenches to ensure required level including flushing, cleaning and hydrualic testing. The pipe shall be provided anticorrosive treatment to internal side of pipe by applying priming coat to external side of pipe as per AWWA specification C-203-1978 outside of pipe followed by a flood coat of hot bitumen and approximately 3/32" thick and hessian cloth wrapping after comletely dipping in hot bitumen complete in all respect and all the entire satisfaction of Engineer-in-Charge (Earth work to be measure and paid for separately).

Fabrication, laying, jointing & testing of mild steel flanged bends of required degrees for MSERW pipes confirming to IS-1978-1982 steel grade YST-240, manufactured from parent tubes as mentioned above of following diametre, wall thickness and specification with three or four gussets of radius not less than 5 times pipe dia with welding of all pecies as per relevant IS codes (flanges shall be supplied by the department free of cost). The welding of flanges should be done on both faces to make the joint leak proof according to relevant BIS standard and specification. The bends shall be jointed by providing required No. and size of MS nut and bolts, 3 mm thick compressed asbestos fibre/synthatic rubber jointing gasket confirming to relevant BIS codes. The pipes shall be factory galvanized (zinc coating both inside and outside) as per relevant IS standared and the damaged/welded portion of the pipes and specials made from the parent tube shall be provided anticorrosive treatment by applying two coats of anticorrosive bituminious paint over a priming coat as per AWWA specification C-203-1978 complete in all respect to the entire satisfaction of Engineer-in-Charge in all leads and lifts.
