PREVENTIVE REPAIRS/ MAINTENANCE TO RCC STRUCTURAL MEMBERS, WALLS, FLOORS AND CONNECTED WORKS TO ENHANCE THE LIFE OF CERTAIN AMENITY BLOCKS IN A AND E AREA AT ND(V)

Note :- The following items are to be executed for double storied building of height / work shop buildings of similar height and requires double scaffolding to carry out the mechanically applied repair mortars etc., The rates quoted shall be accordingly considered for all the safety gear, scaffolding, height, lead and lift in the items.

Material & labour for chipping & removal of existing damaged, crakced, spalled & loose portion of concrete of the RCC members completely till the reinforcement is exposed and sound concrete (20mm to 50mm) is observed by using mechanical means and manual chisels and further the surface is jetted with clean water for removal of dust and loose particles and completely as directed by Engineer-in charge, ( and similar work on any floor up to five floors or 16m height of buildings).

Material & labour for preparation of exposed surafces of rusted steel reinforcement of dia 10mm and above with metal wire brush, cleaning the rusted surfaces free from loose rust and application of rust remover cum passivator painted with brush to the rusted reinforcemnet @ 2.0-2.5Ltr /Sqm surface of steel reinforcement, (Fosroc-Reebaklens RR) to the surface of existing reinforcement) and removing rust with flex after 24 hours of application of rust remover with the help of wire brush, sand paper and throughly washed with water with the help of pressure jet and allowing it to dry complete all as specified and directed. (Note : Length of reinforcement steel bar shall be measured for payment.

Preparation of surfaces of steel of reinforcement bars of 10mm dia and above by cleaning thruoghly and proving, mixing and aplying zinc anti-rust agent as per manufacturers method of application to rebar corrosion protection system to reinforcement using brush to form a uniform thickness of 40 microns and should ensure with no gaps left out on the reinformcement. (Fosroc-Nitozinc primer) @ 3.0-3.5Ltr /Sqm surface of steel reinforcement in two coats.

Material & labour for providing Shear connectors and Anchoring : Drilling 12mm dia holes up to depth of 100mm and fix 10mm dia TMT bars L shaped anchor rods as shear connectors in defective concrete area of the slab, column, beams, chajjas, lintel etc or any other structural member as the case may be. Clean the same using water and make sure that there is no fine particle present in the hole. Mix the base and hardener of the polyester resin Fosroc Lokfix with the spatula thoroughly. Fill the drilled and cleaned holes to a minimum depth of 1/3rd of the hole with the prepared polyester resin and the reinforced bar shall be inserted to full depth of hole and extra length of the reinforcement bar shall be bent into the concrete to maintain proper cover to the reinforcement.

Material & labour for application of bonding coat on the prepared old concrete surfaces of the RCC Memebers of the buildings with two component epoxy based bonding agent Nitobond AR standard of Fosroc make for the surfaces of the concrete tobe rehalitated by Rendroc DS40 (upto 40mm thick), of repair of demolished concrete member complete all as specified and as directed.

Material & labour for Dry spray repair mortar - Fosroc make , Renderoc DS40 @ 40mm thick to the Slab soffits, coloumns, chajjas, lintels, staircase slabs, Beams, parapets. etc., Application procedure: Stock the sufficient quantity of RENDROC DS40 and washed/ dried 6mm downgraded course aggragate at site, the premixed factory made polymer modified dry spray concrete and 12.5 kg of 6mm downgraded aggregate shall be placed in to the funnel arrangement of the dry spray concrete pumping machine. Water shall be filled in the water tank and connected to the dry spray concrete pumping machine. The prepared and SBR ploymer modified bonding coat applied surface shall be in a tacky state. The dry spray concrete shall be pumped through the hose connected to the compressor and pumping machine. At the tip of the concrete pumping nozzle, water shall be added at the time of concrete spray. The concrete shall be sprayed continously to achieve the required thickness and continued up to the prepared surface. Immediately after the spray is completed. water shall be sprinled over the surface and finish the concrete surface with steel float/ leveling frame until smooth finish is achieved. The process shall be continued for the entire prepared surface. The cost of all materials, cost of hire charges of machineries, tools and all labour charges etc., complete all as specified and as directed.

Dismantling floor, hearth or wall tiling including cement mortar bedding complete all as specified and as directed.

Material & labour for cement concrete in sub base of floor and pavings in cement concrete type B-1 1:2:4, (25mm thick using 20mm graded stone aggregate complete all as specified and as directed.

Material & labour for Non skid ceramic tiles 7 to 8mm thick, coloured, area of each tile exceeding 0.11 Sqm and not exceeding 0.18 Sqm , in floors, set and jointed in neat cement slurry and pointed in white or colour cement to match. Laid over cement screed of 15mm thick in CM 1:4 complete all as specified and as directed.

M&L Non skid ceramic tiles 7 to 8mm thick (square/rectangular) area of each tile exceeding 0.11 Sqm but not exceeding 0.18 Sqm in floors etc, set and jointed in neat cement slurry and pointed in coloured cement to match including 15mm thick screed bed or bedding layer for laying tiles in CM1:6 all as directed

Material & labour for coloured glazed ceramic tiles 350 x 250 x 7 mm / 450X350X7 mm thick in dado set and jointed in neat cement slurry and pointed in coloured cement to match fixed over including rendering in CM 1:4, 10mm thick complete all as specified and as directed.

Taking down cement plaster on brick walls or concrete surfaces or ceiling including raking out joints locking for key, scrubbing down with water and cleaning the surface thoroughly etc complete all as specified and as directed.

Material & labour for SBR Polymer (styrene butadine rubber polymer) Nitobond SBR of Fosroc make modified cementitious bonding coat , prepared and applied on the concrete / masonry surfaces with a ratio 1:1 to 1:1.5 of Polymer and Cement complete dependting on the consistency required and sprinkling quartz sand on it. Adhesive bond strength not less than 2.50MPa. The bond coat shall be applied on the prepared surface as per the manufacturer specification. (For application of plastering surfaces)

Material & labour for polymer modified plastering in CM 1:6 , 15mm thick on fair faces of brick / concrete surafces finished even and smooth with out using extra cement and using Nitobond SBR at the rate of 4% of weight of cement complete all as specified and as directed. [Note:- SBR shall be measured and paid separately]

Material & labour for polymer modified plastering in CM 1:3 10mm thick on fair faces of concrete surafces of ceilings finished even and smooth with out using extra cement and using Nitobond SBR at the rate of 4% of weight of cement complete all as specified and as directed. [Note:- SBR shall be measured and paid separately]

Supply only Fosroc make Nitobond SBR chemical for mixing in polymer modified plastering complete all as specified and as directed.

Demolition of cement concrete of any description and in any position including sunken floor filling not otherwise specifically provided for complete all as specified and as directed.

Supply & Fix Form work to side of foundation, footing bases of columns raft and beams etc for fair finished surfaces complete all as specified and as directed.

Providing proposed rebars,mild steel TMT bars of different diameter for Coulmn , beams, slab, chajja, drop, parapets encasement , as detailed in sketch including fabricating, placing, tieing, fixing etc., cut to length bent to shape as required, including cranking, bending, spirally for hooping for columns, hooking ends and binding with and including mild steel wire (annealed) not less than 0.9mm dia and welding to existing steel reinforcement complete all as specified and as directed.

M&L for laying cement based Micro-concrete , Rendroc RG 40 of Fosroc make, pre packed single component, chloride free, sulphate free, non-shrink, free flow, self compacting , ready to use after mixing water in specified proportion of approved quality. Form work shall be provided for palcing micro concrete patch reapir as required at site with steel jack sysytem and steel props to support the form work in this application of high strength, dual shrinkage, compensated, micro concrete for placing in nominal thickness of more tahn 50mm for concrete reapir with compresive strength of 40 Mpa at 28 days complete all as specified and as directed. [Note: Form work shall be measured and paid separately].

Material & labour RCC M30 grade with approved Ready Mix Concrete (RMC)with graded stone aggregate as in Slabs supported on walls, beams and columns in floors, roofs, landings, balconies, canopies, deck slabs and in shelves and the like complete all as specified and as directed.

Demolition of brick masonry built in cement mortar all as specified and directed.

M&L for brick work with sub class 'B' bricks straight or curved on plan exceeding 6m mean radius built in CM 1:6 all as specified and directed

Demolition of textile covering over roof and removing the debries to a distance 5km away from the Dockyard premises complete all as specified and as directed.

M&L for 10 mm thick screed in CM 1:4 with water proofing compound as per manufacture instruction by weight of cement and finish the surface even and smooth with out using extra cement all as specified complete all as specified and as directed. [Note:- WPC will be measured and paid separately].

M&L for APP based polymeric membrane minimum weight 3Kg/sqm and minimum 3mm thick reinforced with polyster non wove fabric (wt not less than 150 gms/sqm ) shall be laid over entire roof surface and on vertical surface upto grovs with other laps of 100mm . The over lap shall be sealed by flames.

M&L for applying one coat of bitumenous alumium paint @0.10 Kg/sqm including prepaation of surfaces all as specified.

Taking down cement plaster on brick or stone walls, etc. including raking out joints, hacking for key, scrubbing down with water, etc.,complete all as specified and as directed.

M&L rendering 15mm thick cement plaster 1:4 on fair faces of brick work or concrete surfaces finished even & smooth(without using extra cement) all as specified and directed.

M&L for three coats of white wash on walls including preparation of newly plastered wall surfaces or ceiling complete all as specified and directed.

M&L for two coats of white wash on walls including preparation of old surfaces on walls or ceiling complete all as specified and directed.

M&L for preparation of any surfaces and applying two coats of weather proof exterior emulsion paint on walls including one coat of alkali resistant primer all as specified and directed. (Note : The primer shall be applied on newly plastered patched areas. Then the entire ares shall be treated with two coats of OBD)

Removing demolished building materials such as concrete debris, removed plastering material, brick bats and the like and disposing off out side MD land complete all as specified and as directed.
