Maintenance of Gardens/Landscaped areas, Maintenance of Building premises and Roads of IISER campus, vithura, Thiruvananthapuram for a period of 12 months

Maintenance of garden area, including building premises and road at IISER TVM Campus of 30,000 Sqm. garden area, consisting of lawn turf, flowerbed, shurb, hedges and trees .Cleaning the surroundings of buildings, removal of waste materials, grass, dry leaves around the building etc by carrying out the operation systematically as directed by the Engr-in-charge. Note:- Shift timmings: 8.0 hrs between 04.00 AM - 7.00 PM on Monday to Saturday excluding holidays as directed by the Officer-in-charge. Minimum number of work force of Gardener: 18 nos. /day Supervisor : 1no. (Experiance in handling garden maintenance works.)

Cleaning daily the entire area earmarked for maintenance by removing fallen dry leaves and all types of waste materials lying in the garden area, burning of the dried leaves in the pits provided for that and disposing off the waste in a place 100mtrs away.

Watering the whole area under contract daily at the rate of 4 litres for hard or loamy soil per sqm.area uniformly by means of hose and running water providedby the dept.Including watering the lawns as and were required through operartion of sprinklers provided by the dept

Farm yard manure supplied by the dept. to be diluted and made into thin solution as directed by the Officer-in-charge and applied in the lawn and turf once in 30 days for hard or loamy soil

Compost manure or fertilizer as the case may be supplied by the Dept. has to be applied in flower beds and shrub pits once in 30 days as instructed by the officer-in-charge.

Weeding the lawn, turf, flower bed,shrub pits and hedges pits has to be done regularly for hard or loamy soil. Weeded out material has to be disposed in a place 100 mtr away.

Mowing the lawn and turf and trimming the corners should be carried out neat and trim with lawn mower/ brush cutter and grass shear once in 30 days.

Insecticides and fungicides supplied by the dept. has to be carefully diluted and sprayed in the garden once in 15 days as insturcted by the Officer-in-charge of the work (All required materials, water and implements implements will be supplied supplied by the Department Department free of charge) for hard or loamy soil.

Maintaining the potted plants regularly including watering, weeding, doing plant protection measures, manuaring, painting the pots repotting as and when required etc.

Upkeep of the building and garden surroundings by removing dry leaves shedding at Academic, Hostels, Residential, Guest house, Indoor stadium, Main Entrance Primary School etc, as per the instruction of the EIC..

Charges for additional labour engaged as per the directions of the Engineer in Charge. The nature of work is same as the item no. 1. Deductions if any shall be made as per this rate.
