SPECIAL REPAIRS TO ROOF TREATMENT OF CERTAIN BUILDINGS (BLDG NO P-124 AND P-125) AT INS DRONACHARYA UNDER GE FORT KOCHI

Taking down existing water proofing treatment (membrane) of any thickness from the roof /parapet including cement mortar bedding/plaster, PCC tiles, padding concrete if any, upto the RCC slab, removing debris out of the premises (out of MD Land) and cleaning the roof complete all as specified and as directed by Engr-in-Charge.

Cutting the V grooves on the terrace slab where ever cracks are observed and fill the grooves with heavy duty non shrink grout (Conbextra GP2 of Bostik flow fill grout GP or equivalent), coving all the 90 degree angles, slab/wall junctions with (Conbextra GP2 of Bostik flow fill grout GP or equivalent) complete all as per manufacturer's instructions complete all as specified and as directed by Engr-in-Charge.

Demolition of reinforced cement concrete of any description or in any position not other wise specifically provided for by cutting with mechanical cutter, (reinforcement cut as required to facilitate demolition), as in parapet wall, etc complete and removing debris out of the premises (out of MD Land) complete all as specified and as directed by Engr-in-Charge. Note : Necessary safety netting to prevent falling of debris should be provided and the rate quoted is deemed to include for providing safety netting.

M&L for providing Plain cement concrete 1:2:4, type B-0 (using 12.5 mm graded crushed stone aggregate) as in roof levelling course to maintain a slope towards the rain water outlet including mixing of integral water proofing compound/liquid as per manufacturer's instructions and finished even and smooth without using extra cement complete all as specified and as directed by Engr-in-Charge. Note :- Integral water proofing compound shall be measured and paid separately under relevant item

M&L for rendering with cement mortar 1:3, 10 mm thick including mixing of integral water proofing compound/liquid as per manufacturer's instruction and finishing the surface even and smooth complete all as specified and as directed by Engr-in-Charge. Note :- Integral water proofing compound shall be measured and paid separately under relevant item

M & L for application of water proofing treatment as per following specification complete all as specified and as directed by Engr-in-Charge :- (a) Thorough cleaning work, removal of loose screed, repairing the damaged portions and filling any minor potholes with modified mortar using Fosroc Nitobond SBR or Bostik Boscocem SBR or equivalent mixed with cement and quartz sand as per the ratio recommended by the manufacturers . (b) Providing and laying coving at the junction of slab and vertical parapet wall with Cement Mortar 1:4 and admixed with Fosroc Nitobond SBR or Bostik Boscocem SBR as per dosage as recommended by the manufacturer. (c) Providing and applying one coat of primer Fosroc Nito proof WB (water base at a ratio 1:2)/Bostik Boscocem SBR @0.25-0.30 kg/sqm or equivalent on a well-prepared surface. (d) Once primer is fully dry, applying a coat of one-component Acrylic based modified polyurathene elastomeric solar reflective cum waterproofing coating of Fosroc Brushbond Roofguard premium/Bostik Block P530 BOSCOSEAL PU-D or equivalent by brush or roller. (e) A layer of Fibre Mesh Reinforcement of 45 gsm embedded over first coat. (f) Over fibre mesh, applying second coat of water proofing coating of Fosroc Brushbond Roofguard premium/Bostik Block P530 BOSCOSEAL PU-D or equivalent by brush or roller to fully cover the fibre mesh and make the surface. (g) Waterproofing membrane system continued to be applied on the parapet wall upto 300mm height or as per manufactures instructions and the quoted rate shall include necessary materials, tools and application procedure as per manufacturer's specification.

Supply only integral water proofing compound/liquid complete all as specified and as directed by Engr-in-Charge.

M&L for carefully chipping and removing all damaged and de-bonded/spalled concrete and plaster from the RCC parapet wall, ceilings, slabs, chajja & columns etc by manually or mechanically so as to expose the corroded reinforcement bars, cleaning properly and removing the debris outside MD Land complete all as specified and as directed by Engr-in-Charge.

M&L for supply and application of Fosroc Nitobond EP/ Bostik EP Bond or equivalent epoxy bonding agent over the old concrete surface complete all as specified and all as directed by Engineer-in-charge.

M&L for applying rust remover/converter (Fosroc Reebaklence RR/Bostik ZRP or equivalent) or Amandur , (manufactured by GK technocom) over the corroded reinforcement bar where ever micro concreting is required and cleaning the same after application complete all as specified and as directed by Engr-in-Charge.

M&L for plastering with Nitobond SBR (Styrene butadin polymer bonding agent cum cement mortar/concrete modifier Manufactured by M/s Fosroc/Bostik Boscocem SBR or equivalent) modified cement mortar (1:4) under the slab to an average thickness of 40 mm (applied in two layers not exceeding 20mm each), including the cost of all materials, scaffolding as required rent of tools and labour charges etc complete all as specified and as directed by Engr-in-Charge.

Demolition of brick work including all quoins, arches, pillars, etc built in cement mortar or cement lime mortar complete all as specified and directed by Engr-in-charge.

M&L for Brickwork with subclass ‘B’ bricks, straight or curved on plan exc 6m mean radius built in cement mortar 1:4 complete all as specified and as directed by Engr-in-Charge.

M&L for rendering 15 mm thick in two coats (10 mm thick in cement mortar 1:4 and 5 mm thick in cement mortar 1:4 mixed with liquid water proofing compound) on fair faces brick work or concrete surfaces finished even and smooth without using extra cement complete all as specified and as directed by Engr-in-Charge. Note:- water proofing compound shall be measured and paid separately.

M&L for preparation of new plastered surfaces of walls and applying two coats of Antifungal paint finishing with Acrylic smooth exterior paint of any shade and colour/design @ 1.67Ltr/10 Sqm over and including priming coat of exterior primer applied @ 2.20 Kg/10 Sqm complete all as specified and directed by Engr-in-Charge.

Taking down AC external units including disconnecting electric connections, plugging gas pipes safely and re-fixing the same in its position in working condition after completion of roof treatment work all as specified and as directed by Engr-in-Charge.

Preparation of old plastered surfaces of ceiling and applying two coats of white wash complete all as specified and as directed by Engr-in-Charge.

Demolition and breaking up of drain pipes of any description (PVC, Salt glazed ware , AC or reinforced concrete) of size 100 to 110 mm fixed in walls / trenches complete all as specified and as directed by Engr-in-Charge.

S&F 110mm bore PVC (SWR) pipe, single socketed in any length with rubber ring joint fixed to wall/floor etc. complete all as specified and as directed by Engr-in-Charge.

S & F 110 mm bore PVC (SWR) bends/shoe any radius fixed to walls including distance pieces and stack clamps complete all as specified and as directed by Engr-in-Charge.

Disconnecting existing PVC tanks (exc 1000 Ltr & not exc 2000 Ltr), setting aside (or lowering if required) for roof treatment work /repairs, etc. and hoisting, reconnecting and re-fixing in the same position with and including all necessary fittings after completion of repair work complete all as specified and as directed by Engr-in-Charge.

Disconnecting and taking down the lightening arresters metal strips with insulators from the parapet wall and kept aside in safe custody of the contractor and refixing the same with insulators and zinc coated screws after completing roof treatment work at site with proper connections with all necessary arrangements complete all as specified and as directed by Engr-in-Charge.
