Survey and investigation for providing Faecal Sludge and Septage Management (FSSM) facility for establishment of FSSM system for treatment of faecal sludge generated from household sanitation facilities for adjoining Panchayats of Chail Chowk, Gohar and Bassa in Tehsil Chachiot, District Mandi, Himachal Pradesh, shall be carried out using advanced and modern survey techniques. The scope includes conducting detailed topographical and site surveys using Differential Global Positioning System (DGPS) and Total Station with a precision limit of up to 0.5 cm accuracy for preparation of detailed site plan, geotagging of households, marking of proposed alignments and infrastructure, and preparation of longitudinal sections (L-section) and cross-sections (X-section) as required based on site conditions. A comprehensive reconnaissance survey shall be undertaken for preparation of a digital contour plan with contour intervals of 1.00 meter, clearly depicting all physical features such as residential structures, roads, high tension (HT) lines, natural drains, and other significant benchmarks relevant for planning and design of the FSSM facility. The survey shall also include identification and finalization of suitable locations for development of FSSM infrastructure in accordance with latest applicable norms and guidelines. All engineering drawings including site layout, contour maps, alignment plans, and detailed sections shall be prepared using latest version of AutoCAD software, ensuring clarity, accuracy, and professional presentation. The complete set of drawings shall be submitted in four (04) hard copies duly bound, along with soft copies in PDF and Word format. The entire work shall be carried out in complete accordance with the directions and to the satisfaction of the Engineer-in-Charge, ensuring compliance with all applicable standards and project requirements.

Preparation of Detailed Project Report (DPR) for establishment of Faecal Sludge and Septage Management (FSSM) system for treatment of faecal sludge generated from household sanitation facilities for adjoining Panchayats of Chail Chowk, Gohar and Bassa in Tehsil Chachiot, District Mandi, Himachal Pradesh, using state-of-the-art and advanced technologies. The scope of work includes detailed planning, marking of proposed infrastructure, preparation of longitudinal sections (L-sections) and cross-sections (X-sections) as per site conditions, and development of a comprehensive and technically sound DPR in complete form. The DPR shall include complete proposal with detailed process design, hydraulic design of the FSSM system along with all associated components, supported by latest authentic technical references and guidelines. The report shall contain detailed drawings, design calculations, bill of quantities, detailed measurements, and abstract cost estimates for all components of the system. The proposed FSSM facility shall comprise, but not be limited to, Inlet Chamber, Screen Chamber, Grit Channel, Distribution Box, sludge dewatering and drying systems including planted and unplanted sludge drying beds (SDBs), solar sludge deactivation unit, constructed wetland (root zone system), polishing pond, multi media filter, chlorine contact tank, as well as all allied infrastructure such as fencing panels around the STP yard, steel gate, interconnecting pathways, railings, access ladders, plant building/chowkidar room, manholes, inspection chambers, and other necessary appurtenances required for effective operation of the system. All drawings including layout plan, process flow diagram, hydraulic profile, details, and service network shall be prepared using latest version of AutoCAD software, ensuring high level of accuracy and professional presentation. The complete DPR shall be submitted in four (04) sets of hard copies, duly bound, along with soft copies in editable and PDF format. The DPR shall be prepared in all respects as per the directions of the Engineer-in-Charge and shall be suitable for obtaining administrative approval and technical sanction. The technology proposed in the DPR shall strictly conform to the design parameters and guidelines of the CPHEEO Manual and shall be capable of achieving the prescribed effluent discharge standards as per CPCB and HPPCB norms, ensuring a sustainable, efficient, and environmentally compliant FSSM system.
