DESCRIPTION OF ITEMS

Excavation in trenches in any type of soil n.exc. 1.5 mtr wide and n.exc 1.5 mtr in depth for LT cables complete all as specified & directed.

Returning, filling in, any type of soil and spreading in layers n. exc 25cm thick each layer including watering & well ramming complete all as specified& directed.

Removal of surplus soil to a distance n.exc 50 mtr & depositing where directed at a level n. exc. 1.5mtr above the starting point complete all as specified & directed.

Taking out old defective cable of any size from trenches / floor / road / wall / pipe / pole and testing with LT magger, seggregating the serviceable part of cables and store for relaying complete all as specified & directed.

Supply and laying XLPE insulated, armoured heavy duty electric cable with alumnium conductor, 1100 volts grade, corss sectional area 6 sqmm 2 core complete all as specified and directed by Engr-in-Charge.

M & L for brick protection cover of UG cable by using old size sub class 'B''common burnt clay building bricks, laid dry and flat abutting each other with width equal to length of the brick and gap between adjacent brick n.exc 10 mm complete all as specified and directed.

Laying only old serviceable bricks retrieved from under respective items in Sch 'A' from cable trench excavation complete all as specified and as directed.

M & L for dry clean sand cushioning to underground cables in layer (8 cm thick before laying of cables and 15 cm thick after laying and stretching of cable) as in trenches for cable protection or under floor or in foundation and gentally hand ramming and consolidation complete all as specified and directed. Note:- Sand thickness shall be measured only 18 cm after punning

Cutting of floor/wall/road/footpath for removal of LT U/G cable of any size/description and making good the same as per existing specification after relaying the same or new cable and all as specified & directed.

S & F in replacement GI pipe light grade 80mm bore for cable protection, fixed to pole/ along with wall/ floor/ under road/ across the drain or nallaha etc complete all as specified & directed.

All as per seritem No.23 here-in-before but 50mm bore.

M & L fabrication of MS busbar chamber of nominal dimension 900 mm x 600 mm x 300 mm duly provided with aluminimum busbar of size 50 mm x 6mm fixed on porcelain insulators TPN type out door weather/vermin proof with both way open including duly provided with neoprene rubber gasket along the doors openings pedestal type duly painted with powder coated on CRCA steel sheet encloser with one No incommer MCCB 200 Amp 25 KA (Make: As per CA make list) including making connection /thimbles & grouting in ground by using angle iron frame 40x40x6mm with PCC1:2:4 type B1(using 20 mm graded stone aggregate) including taking down old unserviceable existing chamber complete all as sepcified and directed.

All as per ser item No 28 here-in-before but of size 600 mm x 600 mm x 300 mm and without MCCB

Laying only Joining, connecting, testing & commissioning of old cable of any size any core (Old serviceble cable obtained from above Sr item No 4 shall be used in this item as per direction of Engineer-in-Charge) (Excavation, earth work, sand cushionning, bricks etc shall be measured seperatly under respective item of Sch.)

M & L for cutting chases in cement mortar 1:3 to ends or edges of landing, steps cills sunshades, shelves, lintels etc ; and cutting chases for concealed conduit wiring and making good, cutting not exc 10 cm girth in brick walls

M & L for earthing in replacement complete with galvanised or steel earth plate electrode of size 60cm x60cmx6mm thick burried directly in ground vertically (to a depth not less than 2.25mtr deep below normal ground level) with top edge of the plate not less than 1.5 mtr below normal ground level, connected to strip 32x6mm size with nuts, bolts , check nuts , washers, earth plate surrounded by packed layers of charcoal dust and common salt 15cm thick all around, top & bottom watering pipe 40mm bore of GI pipe light grade with funnel and wiremesh all as shown in electrical plate No. 3 of SSR-2010 Part-I and connecting to earthing test point, main switch board and testing on completion including PCC chamber of concrete 1:3:6 type C-2 and RCC cover 75mm thick with MS TMT bar 8mm dia @150mm c/c both ways in cement concrete(1:2:4) type B-1 complete all as specified and directed by Engineer-in-charge.

S & F in replacement MCCB 415 Volts 4 pole 500Amps 50 Hz 36 KA of existing make model and type alongwith spreader terminal with adjustable thermal setting including lugs/thimbles of suitable size in existing panels complete all as specified and directed by Engr-in-Charge. Note : Necessary addition /altration required to adjust MCCB in the panel shall be done by the contractor and no extra payment will be made to the contractor.

Clearing away all grass vegetation, saplings, shrubs, brush wood undergrowth roots and trees not exceeding 30cm girth (measured one metre above ground level) and removing rubbish upto a distance of 50 metres outside the periphery of the area under clearance soft/loose soil and getting out including spreading of anti vegitation chemical on complete area all as directed and specified.

Supply and fixing/laying in replacement galvanized iron strip of size 32x6 mm as earth continuity conductor provided in between earth test point terminal and upto the equipment incl nuts, bolts and washers complete all as specified and directed.

Supply and fixing in replacement of danger notice plate of 1.6mm thick, MS sheet, vitreous enamelled white, with letters, figuers and conventional skull and bones in signal red colour and fixed with MS clamps made out of flat iron 25x3 mm, nuts-bolts, of approved size for LT 20 x 15 cm.

Supply and fixing in replacement of PVC LT OH line spacer for 5 wires complete all as specified and directed.

Supply and fixing in replacement of PVC LT OH line spacer for 4 wires complete all as specified and directed.

Supply and fixing in replacement of PVC LT OH line spacer for 2 wires complete all as specified and directed.

Dismantling of LT PCC/steel tubular pole of any size and discription incl coping, foundation etc complete all as specified and directed.

Supply and erection, in truly vertical position, LT Steel tublar swaged pole complete with cast iron base plate final taper plug, bolt, nut and screwed type 410 SP-31 09 mtrs long Class -10 including painting of poles with two coats of synthatic enamel paint in black and white strips upto 1.5 mtr height from coping over a coat of red oxide primer including numbering of poles and painting of embedded portion of pole with one coat of bituminious paint complete all as specified and directed by Engineer in charge. Note : PCC, Earth work and MS work as cross arms etc will be measured and paid separately.

Supply, fabricating and fixing, cross arms (any type) supports, bracting, stiffness etc made out of MS channel, angle iron, flat iron of any size including drilling of holes, making clamps, eye hooks, nuts, bolts and washers etc, welding if required including painting with two coats of aluminium paint over a coat of red oxide paint as well as dismantling of existing all as directed

Supplying, drawing and fixing in replacement of contineous GI earth wire/gaurd/cradles of 4mm dia including GI binding wire 1.63 mm and GI holding hook on HT poles incl taking down old rusted GI wire all as specified and directed

Cleaning and preparation of old painted surface of LT/street light pole complete and painting with one coat of aluminium paint including channels/ brackets, street light brackets, cross arms and making Red & white strips with synthetic enamelled paint of 30 cm height, each alternative strip upto 1.5 mtr height and writing pole numbers with yellow synthetic enamelled paint after making circular base with black synthetic enamelled paint and applying two coats of white wash on PCC coping complete all as specified. Note : Pole serial no. will be as approved by GE.

Material and labour for PCC 1:3:6 type C-2,using stone aggregate 40mm graded as in foundation of stays and coping of poles including necessary form work where required and fair finish to the exposed surfaces including broken of existing PCC all as specified & directed.

Material and labour for PCC 1:4:8 type D-2, using stone aggregate 40mm graded as in foundation for electric poles and making of cable duct including necessary form work where required and fair finish to the exposed surfaces all as specified & directed.

Supply and fixing of micro prismatic reftective sheet, min 2.5 cm wide, with adhesive base for dirtectly fixing on HT/LT steel tubular/PCC pole without nail or any other fixing material at suitable height, in Red/White/Yellow colour complete all as directed.

Supply & fixing in replacement shackle type porcelain vitreous white, brown or green insulator including one galvanised mild steel straps, washers and nut 75 mm height, 90 mm dia for 1100 volts grade, including removal of existing insulators complete all as directed and specified.

Supply & fixing in replacement pin type porcelain vitreous white, brown or green insulator including one galvanised mild steel spindle, two galvanised iron washers and one galvanised iron nut 100 mm height, 65 mm dia for 1100 volts grade, including removal of existing insulators complete all as directed.

Supply & fixing in replacement ACSR conductor of any size including binding on existing LT poles or new poles with 02mm dia aluminium binding wire all as specified & directed.

Lopping / prooning of tree branches upto the extend to obtain clearance all around the LT over head lines / HT over head lines conductor upto 3 mtr from furthest conductor on pole including removing of cut branches and cleaning of site complete all as specified and directed. Note :- (a). The trees branches etc will be left as it is and will not be carried away by the contractor / DEL as the wood belongs to CEO / DEO and they will be responsible to lift the wood. (b). Prooning of all tree branches in one tree shall be measured as one Job. c). Contractor will employ sufficient labour to complete the job with in time as directed. (d). Contractor will be responsible for any type of mis-happening / accident while prooning the trees. (e). Contractor supervisor will take proper shut down from MES installation before starting the work and clear it before resuming power supply . However full assistance will be provided by MES staff. (f). The contractor will provide proper tools and safety devices to his staff for prooning of trees.

S & F in replacement 1100 Volts grade heavy duty cable one twin core, circular 6 Sqmm PVC insulated aluminium stranded conductor served with inner sheathing of PVC tapes and overall PVC sheathed in service connection from pole to Main Switch complete all as specified and directed.

S & F in replacement 1100 Volts grade heavy duty cable one twin core, circular 10 Sqmm PVC insulated aluminium stranded conductor served with inner sheathing of PVC tapes and overall PVC sheathed in service connection from pole to Main Switch complete all as specified and directed.

S & F in replacement 1100 Volts grade heavy duty cable one twin core, circular 16 Sqmm PVC insulated aluminium stranded conductor served with inner sheathing of PVC tapes and overall PVC sheathed in service connection from pole to Main Switch complete all as specified and directed.

Supply ,fixing ,commisioning and testing of Digital 24 Hr timer street light control panel of Max load 12 KW complete with contractor rating 65/TP, MCB rating 63 Amp SPN complete all as specified and directed. Note :- CA No & date of installations shall be painted/marked on all timer switch provided by the contractor

Supply and fixing in replacement Isolator 4pole 63 Amps,415 Volts includeing weather proof box all as specified and directed.

Supply and fixing in replacement Isolator 2 pole 40 Amps,220 Volts including weather prof box all as specified and directed.

Supply, fixing, testing and commissioning in replacement epoxy type straight through jointing kit suitable for LT cable of size 10 Sqmm to 70 Sqmm, 3.5 to 4 core, XLPE insulated, PVC sheathed armoured 1100 volts grade.

Unbinding from insulators and restretching conductor of any size on LT poles including binding with 2mm dia aluminium binding wire all as specified & directed by Engineer-in-charge. Note : 1. Cost of binding wire shall be included in the quoted unit rate. 2. Distance between two poles for one single LT conductor will be consider as one span.

Unbinding and restretching of GI earth wire 04mm dia on LT poles and including wire with 1.63mm dia GI binding wire all as specified & directed. Note : 1. Cost of binding wire shall be included in the quoted unit rate . 2. Distance between two poles for one single Length of GI wire will be consider as one span.
