Excavation in earthwork in hilly area all heights and depths, in all kind of soil by manual /mechnical means including saturated soil comprising of mixed soil, ordinary rock and hard rock. All work of rock cutting by blasting shall be carried out by taking all necessary precautions against soil erosion, damage to hill side, water pollution, etc. and to protect stability of hill side. Rock shall be excavated with chiseling and wedging out rock (where blasting is prohibited). All earth work in cutting/excavation, including rock excavation shall be carried out true to lines, grades, side slopes, width, camber, super-elevation and level as shown on the drawings or as directed by the Engineer-in-charge, in conformity with the requirement of technical specification for Rural Road, August, 2004 and clause 1603.1 and 1603.2 of General Conditions for Contract to achieve designed formation width including hauling and stacking of useful material for construction at suitable sites and safe disposal of unsuitable cut materials in specified manner, trimming, filling of unevenness, blindage and finishing of the road to specified dimensions or as directed by the Engineer-in charge for smooth riding. Any loss to the public and private property during the course of excavation shall be the absolute responsibility of the contractor, which shall have to be duly compensated by him in all cases. Recovery for stones whether usefull or not for 225.20 Cum @ Rupees 170.00 (One Hundred seventy only per cubic metre ) shall be done on prorata basis from each running bill of this item.

Earthwork in excavation in all kinds classification of soil in foundation of structures upto all depth/ height as per drawing and technical specification Clause 305.1 includding setting out, construction of shoring and bracing, removal of stumps and other deleterious material and disposal upto all lead and lifts dressing of sides and bottom and back filling with approved material and disposal of all surplus excavated earth in specified site and as per direction of Engineer-in-charge complete.

Providing and laying concrete for plain/reinforced concrete 1:4:8 (One cement : Four sand : Eight graded stone aggregate) 40mm (forty milimeter) nominal size in open foundations complete as per drawing and technical specification clauses 802, 803, 1202 and 1203 and as per direction of Engineer-in-charge complete.

Providing and laying cement concrete plain/ reinforced concrete in open foundation complete as per drawing and technical specification cluse 802,803,1202 and 1203 including form work for plain/ reinforced concrete work as per drawing and HP,PWDD technical specification including carriage of materials with in all leads and lifts and direction of Engineer in Charge.

Providing and laying cement concrete 1:5:10 ( One cement: Five sand: Ten graded crushed stone aggregate 40mm (Forty milimeters) Nominal size as per PWD specification in all heights and curing complete including cost of form work in retaining wall/ breast walls including entire carriage of materials with in all leads and lifts complete.

Providing and laying reinforced cement concrete pipe NP-2 for culverts in first class bedding of granular material in single row if fixing collar with cement mortar 1:2 One cement :Two Mortar) but including excavation protection work back filling concrete and masonary work in heas walls and parapets clause 1108 in all heights/depth a technical specification 1108 including carriage of materials with in all leads and lifts and direction of Engineer in Charge.

Providing weep holes in brick masonry /stone masonry/plain reinforced concrete abutment,wing wall and return wall with 100mm ( One Hundred milimetres ) dia PVC pipe extending through the full width of structure with slope of 1:20 ( One vertical twenty horizontal ) towords drawing face complete as per drawing and technical specification clause 614.709,1204.3.7 including carriage of materials with all leads and lifts as per direction of Engineer in Charge.

Back filling with granular material behind abutment, wing wall & return wall complete as per drawing & technical specification clause 1204.3 in all leads and lifts and carriage of material by all modes of transportation as per the direction of Engineer- in-Chrage .

Stone soling properly hand packed filling interstices with kharanja stone and consolidating complete to the requested gradient and camber including spreading watering and rolling of binding materials moorum or earth etc. complete as per HP.PWD. specification. 100mm spread thickness (finished workincluding materials and labour) including the hauling of materials in all leads and lifts as per the entire satisfaction and direction of Engineer-in-Charge.

Construction of un-reinforced, dowel jointed at expansion and construction joint only, plain cement concrete pavement, thickness as per design, over a prepared sub base, with 43 grade cement or any other type as per Clause 1501.2.2 M30 (Grade), coarse and fine aggregates conforming to IS:383, maximum size of coarse aggregate not exceeding 25 mm, mixed in a concrete mixer of not less than 0.2 cum capacity and appropriate weigh batcher using approved mix design, laid in approved fixed side formwork (steel channel, laying and fixing of 125 micron thick polythene film, wedges, steel plates including levelling the formwork as per drawing), spreading the concrete with shovels, rakes, compacted using needle, screed and plate vibrators and finished in continuous operation including provision of contraction and expansion, construction joints, applying debonding strips, primer, sealant, dowel bars, near approaches to bridge/culvert and construction joints, admixtures as approved, curing of concrete slabs for 14-days, using curing compound ( where specified ) and wa ter finishing to lines and grade as per drawing and Technical specification clause 1501 including hauling of material within all leads and lifts and other incidental charges and as per direction of Engineer-In-Charge.
