(5th revision) 2013 using bitumen VG-30 (minimum Bitumen content 3.4% i/c bitumen of retrieved material as per job mix formula) using 100-120 TPH batch type hot mix plant with appropriate arrangement for use of R.A.P, appropriate roller and with hydraulic paver finisher with sensor control to the required grade. The milled material to be used in BM shall be minimum 80% of the theoretical quantity. Note:- If bitumen required is more than 3.4% as per job mix formula, no extra payment will be paid. Providing and laying bituminous macadam 50 mm thick with Batch type hot mix plant 100-120 TPH using crushed aggregates of specified grading premixed with bituminous binder VG - 30 @3.4% transported to site, laid over a previously prepared surface with paver finisher to the required grade, level and alignment and rolled as per clauses 501.6 and 501.7 to achieve the desired compaction complete as per technical clause 504 of MORT&H specifications Note:- If bitumen required is more than 3.4% as per job mix formula, no extra payment will be paid. (Based on HSR 17.33.1) Note:- Before carrying out bituminous work, coating & stripping of bitumen aggregate mix is to be performed in accordance with IS – 6241. Providing and laying of hot applied thermoplastic compound 2.5 mm thick including Reflectorising glass beads @ 250 gms per sqm area, thickness of 2.5 mm is exclusive of surface applied glass beads as per IRC:35 .The finished surface to be level, uniform and free from streaks and holes. (HSR 34.26) Note:- 1. A sealing primer may be applied in advance on cement concrete pavement to ensure proper bonding. Any laitance and/or curing compound to be removed where paint is required to be applied on concrete surface. 2.Cost of painter is already included in hire charges of road marking machine.

The raised pavement marker shall also meet all the testing conditions of ASTM D4280 like abrasion resistance and fixed to the road surface using the epoxy adhesive. Two cylinderical polymer shanks of not less than 20 mm diameter and not less than 30 mm length shall be moulded in the RPM body. The marker shall support a load of 13635 Kg tested in accordance with ASTM D4280. The marker shall withstand flexural strength of 909 kgf force in accordance with ASTM D4280. Marker lenses shall be moulded of Polycarbonate or methyl Methacrylate conforming to ASTM D788. The supplier shall provide a 2 years warranty for satisfactory field performance as per clause 804.7.3 of MORT&H 5th revision specifications. (HSR 34.34)

The type and brand of anti-stripping agent along with procedure shall be approved by SE-in-charge in writing before start of work. A proper record of results be maintained and same shall be submitted along with bills by the contractor. III - Where there is only BC on existing black top, cracks shall be sealed as MoRT&H specification 5th revision clause No. 3004.3, which may consists of (i) Fog seal/ or (ii) crack filling and or (iii) patch work repair as required at site in accordance with clause No. 3004.3.2, 3004.3.3 and 3004.2 of MoRT&H specification 5th revision respectively. Proper measurement and consumption shall be entered in MB for cracks sealed but no payment on this account shall be made as crack filling is incidental to work. (HSR.17.31.2)

Recovery items:- The rates quoted against recovery items will not be included in the total amount rather it will be deducted while calculating financial statement of the agency. i) Material obtained on scarification of bitumen layer and granular layer have been calculated taking assumption that 80% of theoretical material will be retrieved. The old material will be issued for use in any of the item for the work after modification (bringing it to required specifications) as per approval of employer. In case it is not possible to use this material on the work, the agency can take away this material after approval from employer. This material will be issued at the price quoted by the agency or reserve price whichever is high. The reserve price is as under:- Existing Bituminous Surface @ 1430/- per Cum

Brick bats @ Rs. 450 /- cum

Old Steel in the shape of scrap @ Rs 15/- kg

NP-4 pipe 1200 mm dia Recovered from diversion @ Rs. 2500/ mtr In case of any discrepancy in nomenclature/ unit of items of BOQ depicted in the DNIT, the nomenclature/ unit of MoRTH/ HSR & NS items shall be applicable as per norms.Unit rates and prices shall be quoted by the bidder in Indian rupees [ITB Clause 14.1]. For routine maintenance, the unit rate indicated by the authority shall apply. The bidder is required to accept these rates. Further, the payment shall be performance based. It may kindly be noted that the contractor would be obligated to carry out 05 years paid maintenance of Rs. 37.73 lacs as per the fixed rates mentioned as Annexure-‘A’ in the DNIT. However, the item of 05 years maintenance shall not be part of BOQ to avoid any confusion.
