Waterproofing of miscellaneous public buildings and quarters at HWP (K) housing colony.

Cutting and removal of old tarfelt bitumen layer on roof, parapet, joints etc with manual/mechnical means including removal of bitumen primer by scrapping by wire brush etc, exposing the cementitious surface, stacking the debris and surface shall be cleaned neatly of all mortar droppings, loose materials etc with brooms,wire brush & air pressure and dispose the same within 500m from site as directed and specified by EIC

Dismantling old plaster on roof/walls or skirting raking out joints and cleaning the surface for plaster at all height including disposal of rubbish to the dumping ground at all lead, lift etc. complete as per the specifications and as directed by EIC.

Demolising old waterproofing treatment of avg 120 mm thick plastered brick bat work on roof, expansion joints etc by manual/mechnical means, removal and stacking the debris and surface shall be cleaned of all mortar droppings, loose materials etc with brooms, wire brush etc and dispose the same within 1km lead from site as per specifications and as directed by EIC.

Providing and applying two or more coats of heavy duty acrylic waterproofing compound (Dr.Fixit, Fosroc or other equivalent) including applying a coat of waterproofing primer on mother concrete slab/plastered surface including sealing of cracks with crack sealing compounds along with preparation of suface as under (Contractor shall execute Guarantee bond in the prescribed format on stamp paper of Rs. 100/- minimum or as directed by EIC for a period of five years for waterproofing of building area wherever this item is executed) : A) Surface must be thoroughly cleaned of all laitance, loose materials, dust, vegetation existing water proofing coating etc. using wire brushing,grinder & water jet etc. filling local dipressions wherever required with Cement mortar in ratio of 1:3 with approved water proofing compound after applying a bond coat. B) All suface cracks shall be prepared in V shape groove up to 5mm width & should be filled with crack sealer compound & second coat shall be applied after drying of first filling as specified by EIC. C) Apply priming coat of waterproofing compound of uniform consistency as recommended by manufacturer and allow it to dry for 4 to 5 hours before applying further coats. D) Apply the first coat of acrylic waterproofing compound without any dilution at the coverage of not less than 2 sqm per litre per coat. E)While first coat is still green, lay 45 GSM Fiber glass mesh including making provision of 75x75 mm groove for tucking mesh inside the groove, including filling & finishing of the groove with cement mortal of mix 1:4 (Cement: coarse sand) admixed with water proofing compound confirming to IS 2645 and allow first coat to dry for 4-6 hrs. F) Apply second and third coat in direction perpendicular to previous coats while maintaining drying time of 4-6 hrs between successive coats and rate of application same for each coat. G) Allow it to air cure for 7 days and then proceed for ponding test for 24 hrs.

Providing and laying integral cement based water proofing treatment with average thickness of 120 mm and minimum thickness at khurra as 65 mm including following operations: (Contractor shall execute Guarantee bond in the prescribed format on stamp paper of Rs. 100/- minimum or as directed by EIC for a period of Ten years for waterproofing of building area wherever this item is executed) A) Surface must be throughly cleaned of all laitance,loose material, dust, vegetation etc. B) Filling of cracks by cutting in V groove upto 5mm thickness & sealing with crack sealer compound (Dr.fixit, Fosroc or equivalent) etc. (shall be paid separately) D) Fix the rain water pipes properly in place. (shall be paid separately) E) Apply slurry coat of neat cement using 2.75 kg/sqm of cement admixed with water proofing compound conforming to IS 2645 and approved by EIC over the RCC slab including adjoining walls upto 300 mm height. F) Laying brick bats with mortar using broken bricks/brick bats 25 mm to 115 mm size with 50% of cement mortar 1:5 (1 cement : 5 coarse sand) admixed with water proofing compound conforming to IS: 2645 over 20 mm thick layer of cement mortar of mix 1:5 (1 cement :5 coarse sand ) admixed with water proofing compound conforming to IS : 2645 to required slope and treating the adjoining walls upto 300 mm height including rounding of junctions of walls and slabs. G) After two days of proper curing apply a second coat of cement slurry using 2.75 kg/sqm of cement admixed with waterproofing compound conforming to IS:2645. H) Finishing the surface with 20 mm thick jointless cement mortar of mix 1:4 (1 cement :4 coarse sand) admixed with water proofing compound conforming to IS : 2645 and approved by EIC including laying glass fibre cloth of approved quality in top layer of plaster and finally finishing the surface with trowel with neat cement slurry and making pattern of 300x300 mm square 3 mm deep. (I) The whole terrace so finished shall be flooded with water for a minimum period of two weeks for curing and for final test.“All above operations to be done in order and as directed and specified by the Engineer-in-Charge

Providing and laying 3 mm thick APP (Atactic Polypropylene Polymer) modified prefabricated five layer water proofing membrane, black finished reinforced with non-woven polyester matt consisting of a coat of bitumen primer for bitumen membrane @ 0.40 litre/sqm by the same membrane manufacture of density at 25°C, 0.87-0.89 kg/litre and viscocity 70-160 cps. Over the primer coat the layer of membrane shall be laid using Butane Torch and sealing all joints etc, and preparing the surface complete. The vital physical and chemical parameters of the membrane shall be as under : Joint strength in longitudinal and transverse direction at 23°C as 650/ 450N/5cm. Tear strength in longitudinal and transverse direction as 300/250N. Softening point of membrane not less than 150°C. Cold flexibility shall be upto -2°C when tested in accordance with ASTM, D - 5147. The laying of membrane shall be got done through the authorised applicator of the manufacturer of membrane. (Contractor shall execute Guarantee bond in the prescribed format on stamp paper of Rs. 100/- minimum or as directed by EIC for a period of Ten years for waterproofing of building area wherever this item is executed)

Providing and laying in position specified grade of cement concrete including finishing, curing, scaffolding etc but excluding the cost of centering, shuttering and reinforcement - All work up to plinth level :1:2:4 (1 cement : 2 coarse sand (zone-III) : 4 graded stone aggregate 20 mm nominal size)

Laying 40 mm thick cement concrete floor/base with 1:2:4 (1 cement : 2 coarse sand : 4 graded stone aggregate of 20 mm maximum size) finished with a floating coat of neat cement, including cement slurry etc. complete all as per the specifications and as directed by EIC.

Providing and fixing on wall face unplasticised Rigid PVC rain water pipes conforming to IS : 13592 Type A, including jointing with seal ring conforming to IS : 5382, leaving 10 mm gap for thermal expansion single socket pipe 110 mm diameter and clamping (top,middle & bottam) with wall including scaffolding etc all complete as per the specifications and as directed by EIC.

Providing all material, manpower, machinery to repair rain water outlet including cutting and making opening the surrounding concrete/brick work 15cm around the pipe entry point, demolishing the existing spouts if any, removing the exisitng drain pipe, replacing it with new PVC pipe, making good the same with polymer modified ready to use non shrink micro concrete RENDROC - RG of FOSROC or equivalent to match the surrounding, using bonding agent on all surfaces being repaired, applying three coats of Acrylic polymer modified waterproofing cement slurry (polymer : Cement = 1:2 by volume or as recommended by the manufacturer) of FOSROC/ MASTERCRITE M-81 of choksey chemical or equivalant approved by the EIC, providing one layer of Glass fiber mesh 50x60 cm around the Rain water pipe mouth while the first coat is still green, applying a second coat of Acrylic polymer modified water proofing cement slurry and finally finishing with a third coat by allowing time gap in between successive coats, making leak tight joints with polymer modified cement mortar 1:1 with hemp yarn, curing etc. complete including all necessary arrangements like scaffolding etc. as per specifications and as directed by EIC.

Providing and fixing on wall face unplasticised - PVC moulded fittings/accessories for unplasticised Rigid PVC rain water pipes conforming to IS : 13592 Type A, including jointing with seal ring conforming to IS : 5382, leaving 10 mm gap for thermal expansion.

20 mm thick Cement Plaster 1:4 (1 cement : 4 coarse sand) finished on exterior masonry, roof slabs, brick bat and concrete surfaces upto 12 Meter heights & at all locations etc. including supplying and adding integral liquid waterproofing compound suitable for plaster like Dr. Fixit Pidiproof LW+/Fosroc Conplast WL or equivalant in required proportions as per manufacturers specifications in mortar, making grooves of required size at joints and wherever required, cleaning the surfaces, hacking if required, applying neat cement punning before plastering, curing, scaffolding etc. complete all as per specifications & as directed by the EIC.

Painting with Two or more coats of aluminium paint of approved brand and manufacture to give an even shade over APP water proofing membrane etc. complete as per the specifications and as directed by EIC.

Supply of single component ready to use shrinkage free fibre reinforced crack filler Dr fixit crack x paste or other equivalent reputed make for filling cracks on plastered surfaces. Note: (product shall be supplied in original sealed packaging, date of manufacturing older than six months shall not be acceptable & packaging size shall not be more than 1 kg.)

Supply of 45 GSM Fiber glass mesh of preferably 1m X 50m size roll suitable for absorbing tension, forming flexible yet extremely tough durable layer with a plaster, facilitating adherence to masonry materials and acrylic waterproof coatings.

Supply of instant use high polymer butyl rubber adhesive tape with aluminum foil of 1.5mm thickness, 100 mm width & 5m long roll of reputed make for leak proofing suitable for muti purpose applications such as water proof over cracks on roof, wall plaster, sealing water pipe leakages, sealing water tank leakages, temporary repair of metal surfaces such as sealing of roof sheet joints/holes, high temperature resitant upto 120 degree C & low temperature resistant upto -40 degree C etc
