Soil Investigation for construction of 77.0 meter high RCC Lighthouse tower at Lothal

Transportation, assembling, dismentling and re assembling the plant and machinery for drilling holes and conducting soil test at Lothal- Gujarat including various accessories, cost of materials, equipments,labours and all other chages etc complete.

Conducting soil investigation and sub soil exploration at the location by making bore hole of 150 mm dia and about 30 meter deep in all kinds of soil, conducting standard penetration test as per IS 2131-1981 and vane shear test as per IS 4434 in the field as per requirement including collection of disturbed and un disturbed soil samples, triaxial/ direct shear test, consolidation test on un disturbed samples, chemical test on water etc, all as per latest IS specification etc complete.

(I) DRILLING & COLLECTION OF SAMPLES

Drilling in overburden soil (0 to 10 m from ground level)

Drilling in overburden soil (10 to 20 m from ground level)

Drilling in overburden soil beyond 20 m from ground level

Drilling in cemented sand/ weathered rock/sedimatory deposit having N>100 with core barrel for maximum depth of 15M into such deposit, collection of rock cores in a core box

Drilling in hard rock with core barrel for a maximum depth of 5m into such starata including collection of rock cores in a core box

(II) IN SITU TESTS

SPT as per I.S 2131-1981

S.P.T at 1 m interval up to 6.0 m from ground level

S.P.T at 2m interval beyond 6.0m to 10.00 from ground level

S.P.T at 2m interval beyond 10 m to 20m

S.P.T at 2m interval beyond 20m

Vane shear test (as per IS 4434)

(III)Laboratory test as per relevant B.I .S specifications

Liquid limit/ Plastic limit (for all SPT/Disturbed/Undisturbed Samples)

Shrinking limit only on limited samples (whereever liquid limit is >50)

Grain size distribution using sieve analysis (where ever silty + clay less than 15%)

Hydrometer analysis (wherever silty + clay content is more than 15%)

Unconfined compression test on undisturbed samples from cohesive

Consolidation test (only on undisturbed samples from cohesive layers)

Triaxial test (only on undisturbed samples from cohesive layers)

Chemical test on water for chloride,carbonate and sulphate content)

Prepration and Submission of report in quadruplicate including soil profiles and lab test results and recommandation for type of foundation for Lighthouse Tower
