CA NO GE(N)AMB-51/2025-26 SPECIAL REPAIR TO ROOF TREATMENT FOR OFFRS/JCOS/OR MD ACCN IN B1 SECT AGE B/R-I UNDER GE (NORTH) AMBALA CANTT

Demolition of mud in roofs, any thickness, including plastering and leeping (whethere full thickness removed or only a part thereof) including removing old tar felt/ APP all loose dirt, cement plaster etc. and cleaning the concrete surface including removal & cleaning of vegetation, fungus, moss, small trees etc, from the roof top with wire brush, complete all as specified and as directed.

Material & Labour for providing and laying 3mm thick APP (atactic polypropylene polymer) modified prefabricated five layer weight not less than 3.60 kg /Sqm water proofing membrane black finish reinforced with non woven polyster matt and consisting of a coat bituminous primer @ 0.40 litre /Sqm by the same membrane manufactures of density 0.87 to 0.89 kg/ltr at 25 degree centegrate temperature and viscosity 70–160 cps over the primer coat with overlap of 100mm at the side and 150mm at the end, the layer membrane shall be laid using butane gas torch and sealing all joints etc. after preparing the surface complete as per standred practice as per manufacture's instructions. The vital physical and chemical parameters of the membrane shell be under :– (i) Joint strength in longitudinal and transverse direction at 23 degree centegrate at 650/ 450 N /5 cms (ii) Tear strength in longitudinal and transverse direction at 300/250N/5 cms. Softing point of membrane not less then 150 degree centegrate when tested in accordance with ASTM (d–5147) (iii) The laying of membrane shall be got down through the authorised applicator of manufactures of membrane only , complete, all as specified and as directed. (iv) The work shall be carriout at a height upto 12 metre.

Material & Labour for preparation of any description wood, steel, iron, concrete, brick, stone or any other surface of wall /roof applying of two coats of heat resistant paint, complete all as specified and as directed.

Dismantling Brick tiles or terracing tiles, single layer on roofs , , complete all as specified and as directed.

Material & Labour cutting grooves in brick wall, 75mm wide and 65mm deep and shaping horizontal face of groove with cement mortar (1:3) , , complete all as specified and as directed.

Disconnecting existing water tanks of capacity 500 ltr, setting aside (or lowering if required) & cleaning and removing all scale and dirt etc from in side of PVC/RCC tanks and mouths of circulating pipe & writing date on cleaning on the tank with synthetic enamel paint not less than 200mm long and 20mm wide of words and reconnecting and refixing of the tank in position to make it operational, complete, all as specified and as directed by the Engineer-in-Charge. NOTE :- (i) The unit rate shall be included cost of small fittings such as elbow, socket, reducer, tee, union, etc. (ii) The whole process of reconnecting and refixing in position after cleaning/after carrying out water proofing treatment shall be done on the same day to ensure uninterrupted water supply to the occupant, if failing so, Rs. 200/– shall be deducted for each tank per day from the contractor due.

Dismantling of brick work built in cement mortar or cement lime mortar including all quoins, arches, pillar etc but excluding ashlar facing, dressed stone work and precast concrete articles , complete all as specified and as directed.

Material & Labour brick work with sub class 'B' old size bricks straight or curved on plan exceeding 6 metre mean radius built in cement mortar (1:6) , complete all as specified and as directed.

All as per serial item No. 08 here in befor but except bricks (old serviceable bricks obtained from serial item No 07 above (rates including removing motar, cleaning the bricks with water) ,shall be used , complete all as specified and as directed.

Taking down cement or cement lime plaster of any description on brick or stone walls etc including racking out joints, hacking for key scrubbing down with water etc , complete all as specified and as directed.
