Supplying of hot applied thermoplastic road marking compound, 2.5mm thick including reflectorising glass beads @ 250gms with Reflectorising Glass Beads on Bituminous Surface at 250 gms per sqm area, thickness of 2.5mm is exclusive of surface applied glass bead as per IRC: 35, the material should be of BERGER Company/ BERGER Equivalent/ Equivalent brand and must comply with the following: a) White index for the product should be in the range of 60-70 when measured against standard reference. The applied panel 7/8 number must be submitted for checking up the white index in the department lab. In case the department approves the white index of any vendor, the department engineer may carryout random checking of the applied products at site against the approved panel. Supplying & Fixing of Molded Shanks Raised Pavement Markers made of polycarbonate and ABS moulded body and reflective panels with micro prismatic lens capable of providing total internal reflection of the light entering the lens face and shall support a load of 16000 kg tested in accordance to ASTM D 4280 Type H and complying to Specifications of Category A of MORTH Circular No RW/NH/33023/10-97 – DO III Dt 11.06. 1997. Providing fixing of Median Marker made of polycarbonate for impact resistance and good weatherability. Polycarbonate used for molding the Median Marker shall have a minimum Izod impact strength value of 600 J/m at room temperature. The impact strength of the polycarbonate should not decrease to less than 70 % of its initial value on being subjected to UV weathering as per ASTM G 155 for 1000 hours or exposure to 2 years of natural weathering. The body of the median marker shall be in the form of an isosceles trapezoidal structure of length 15 cm, height and width of 10x10 cm. The Median Marker shall have fluorescent yellow retro-reflective sheeting conforming to type XI specifications as per ASTMD 4956. Area of reflective sheeting should not be less than 70 cm2. Providing of Independent Earthing with 40mm Dia GI Pipe 'B' class of 2 Mtrs length after excavating an earth pit of size 1.5 m X 0.9 m X 2.05 m (Top 1.50 m X 0.90 m X 0.9m & bottom 1.20 m X 0.90 m X 1.15 m) with the following specification:- (a) the GI pipe shall be inserted into the Ground for 1.75 Mtr below the inspection chamber bottom 300 mm all around This pipe shall be covered with the mixture of 40 Kgs of coke, 20 Kgs of salt & sand including necessary earth work excavation in all kind of soils. (b) The excavated gap shall be back filled with excavated earth, and shall be properly consolidated with water. (c) The top 0.25 m of GI pipe shall be exposed into inspection chamber of Hum pipe . Earth connections shall be given to the 25 X 6 mm GI flat with bolts, nuts & washers, (d) A 65 mm dia PVC conduit is to be embedded through hume pipe at one side, to lay the Earth from the Earth bus to the Electrode through the PVC conduit and after laying the Earth, the pit entry PVC conduit is to be sealed with Bitumen compound. (e) Necessary Meggar testing is to be done in the presence of the concerned Engineers, and the reading should be as per IE standards.
