Repainting DG exhaust line and DG yard near substation-1 at IISER Thiruvananthapuram

Repainting of the existing DG yard exhaust line, its supports, and DG sheds shall be carried out completely as per the directions of the Engineer-in-Charge. The work includes initial cleaning, scraping, and removal of rust from all surfaces. After proper surface preparation, epoxy primer shall be applied, followed by two or more coats of aluminium paint on the exhaust supports and frames.The rate shall be inclusive of all operations such as scaffolding, surface preparation such as cleaning, removal of dust, dirt, loose/flaky paint, oil, grease, fungus, algae, and minor surface defects, ,primer application, and application of paint to achieve uniform colour, shade, and finish. No extra payment shall be made on any account.

The contractor shall provide all safety arrangements and personal protective equipment such as safety harnesses, helmets, safety belts, safety nets, life lines, etc., suitable for working at height. The contractor shall also obtain valid insurance for all labourers deployed for the work. All safety and insurance provisions shall be deemed included in the rate. No extra payment shall be made on account of height of the tower, safety provisions, or difficulty in execution of the work.
