EARTH WORK

Excavation in all types of soil, sand, Gravel including murrum, with manual and mechenical means for foundations of wall, columns, plinth beams, basement, raft, ducts, trenches, underground sumps, septic tanks, soak well, manhole chambers, gully chambers, including shoring, strutting, dewattering including well point system /pumping of water, removing and stacking simultaneously the excavated stuff any where within the site area and/or spreading soils in layers for site development filling in plinth in the same building and consolidating etc. complete as directed.

Surface dressing of the ground including removing vegetation and inequalities not exceeding 30 cm deep and disposal of rubbish lead upto 300m and lift upto 1.5 m. All kinds of soil.

Earthwork in excavation in all types of soil including as From existing ground level to - up to 1.5 m depth

Earthwork in excavation in all types of soil including as per item no.1.1 but for depth exceeding 1.5 m, but up to 3.0 m

Earthwork in excavation in all types of soil including as per item no.1.1 but for depth exceeding 3.0 m, but up to 4.5 m

Earth filling with approved earth brought from outside in low lying area of plot as directed with manual and / or mechanical equipment in any sort of soil including spreading the earth in layer of 200 mm including watering to optimum water content, ramming and compacting, consolidating and levelling etc. complete with 8 ton to 10 ton power roller as directed and specified. Compaction test should be given by the contractor to ensure 95 % to 98 % compaction in each layer as per standard proctor compaction test. Measurement shall be considered on the basis of ground levels taken before starting the filling work and final top levels of finished surface. The levels shall be taken in the grid of 5.0 mt. center to center. Rate shall be included of Royalty slip only and Royalty slip shall be provided on name of client only.

Providing and filling approved local sand in trenches, plinth, under sub base surrounding areas including watering and consolidation, transportation, loading, unloading, spreading etc. complete as directed.

Collecting, carting, stacking and spreading on compacted subbase 200 mm thick layer of black hand broken metal of 60 mm to 90 mm size in two layers including hand packing and filling interstices with 40 mm to 6 mm stone chips including filling the boxes in regular fashion as directed and specified and spreading, consolidating with 8 ton to 10 ton power roller. The compacted thickness of each layer after compaction will be 100 mm.

Dewatering the water entering in the pit from rainwater or continuous flow of subsoil water or due to leakage in nearby drainage line and removal of mud / sludge till the completion of all the items (concrete, brickwork, excavation etc.) upto ground level. NOTE: The rate includes charges for dewatering using pump and labour required for the same. Actual hours of pumping shall be measured & paid for.

Do as per the above item for pumping out subsoil water or drainwater.(We will use Electrical Pump for the same)

CONCRETE

Providing and laying machine mixed plain cement concrete (PCC) in volumetric proportion 1:3:6 M-10 (1 cement : 3 coarse sand (zone-III) : 6 graded stone aggregate 20 mm nominal size) for specified thickness, for foundations below walls, column footings, sunk floor terraces at any height above plinth level raft at any depth below floors, pavements roads, plinth protection, etc. including centring and shuttering if required, laying spreading, ramming, consolidating as per requirement and curing etc. complete as directed.

Do- as per item No.2.1 but for providing and laying plain cement concrete (PCC) 1:2:4 M-15 (1 cement : 2 coarse sand (zone-III) : 4 graded stone aggregate 20 mm nominal size) with 1 part of cement: 3 parts of coarse sand: 6 parts of stone aggregate of size 37 mm and downgraded complete as directed.

Providing & laying in position machine mixed and machine vibrated cement concrete of controlled grades for reinforced cement concrete structural elements in any shape, size, thickness or depth and design viz. foundations, columns, beams, slabs, raft, floor plinth beams, plinth beam ledges, window sills, copings, thin band beams, walls parapets boxes, folded plates, chajjas, mullions, retaining walls, fins, staircases, overhead and underground water and other fluid tanks, statically loaded foundation rafts/floor, water troughs, manhole slab, septic tank slab, soak well slab etc. its concrete elements in any shape, size, thickness/depth and design as per structural design and as directed in specified compressive strength compressed in N/mm2 at 28 days as per IS 456-2000 using 20 mm or as specified size of crushed stone aggregates including design of concrete mixes, auto weigh batched proportioning, cost of admixtures, necessary lift and lead as specified, finishing concrete surfaces, curing etc. complete but excluding centring/shuttering and reinforce-ment. The conversion of weigh batching to equivalent volumetric one, if permitted, should be got approved from Engineer before execution.

For concrete grade M- 25 at all levels below and up to highest plinth level.

Extra over and above item providing double staging at all levels for height of shuttering exceeding every 7 m (to be measured from corresponding finished or unfinished floor level or plinth level over which the props are resting) or part there of, with additional ties, bracing etc. to support the form work for all RCC work such as slab, beams etc. Note: (i) For execution of this item consultant prior approval to proceed in writing is essential. (ii) For measurements of staging, plan area of staging as per drawing plus area of outer side of outer beams only shall be considered for payment. If staging is done in parts, sides of intermediate beams will not be measured and paid for. No staging shall be paid for columns,lintels,ties and wall casting for which no vertical supports are needed. (iii) This item shall be payable if shuttering is done with steel props / H-frame though double staging is not done but the shuttering height is more than 5 mt.

Supplying and mixing with cement for cement concrete/cement mortar, water proofing compound approved make & quality as per the requirements and manufacturer’s specifications etc. complete as directed.

Providing, cutting, binding and fixing in position reinforcement steel confirming to IS 1786 - 2010 for RCC structures as per design including loading, transporting, unloading and incidental charges for handling, cutting, bending, and binding with two strands of annealed steel wire of 18 gauge, welding if necessary etc. complete as directed. With mild steel bars for all heights below and above plinth level .(Payment will be made on the length basis and standard co -efficient to convert in weight as per ISS.) (Rolling margins and wastages will not be paid extra). etc complete as directed.

Do- as per item No. 2.6 but providing, fabricating and fixing in position TMT reinforcement steel bars of minimum grade Fe 500 D Grade confirming to IS 1786 - 2010 of approved make etc. complete as directed.

Providing and Fixing of reinforcement steel dowel bar in the existing RCC elements by re-bar method including machine drilling (minimum drilling hole dia. shall be 1.5 times of the dia. of dowel bar to be inserted and up to suitable inset depth as directed), supply of necessary anchoring chemicals such as epoxy based resin and hardener of approved make like HILTI India or equivalent approved and work to be carried through the competent agency including all materials, labours, tools, etc complete as directed for various dia bars. (Reinforcement shall be paid under relevant item of this tender), complete as directed.

Providing and constructing brick masonary in CM 1:6 ( 1 cement & 6 coarse sand ) with locally available approved bricks having minimum crushing strength of 35 kg/sq.cm for walls, columns, trenches, load wall, Gala beed below roof sheets, gable wall, otta, ramp etc.including scaffolding, racking out the joints, curing etc. Complete as directed by Engineer - in charge.

WOOD AND ALUMINIUM WORK

Providing and fixing pull and push type standard rolling shutter of approved quality and make fabricated from mild steel sheets as directed and specified with one coat of rust remover, two coats of yellow zinc chromate and three or more coats of approved quality and shade enamel/aluminium paint to give an even shade.Rates shall include three or more Nos.of pullies with ball bearings, necessary accessories such as guide channels, chain or handle set, locking arrangement, top M.S. cover of 20 guage Mild Steel and making zari or hole in Brick work or RCC work and restoring the same as directed and specified at all levels. Note : Rolling shutters shall be measured in square meters of the clear opening to which they are fixed and in no case top drum with cover and guide channels shall be paid extra or shall be calculated in area.

Supplying, fabricating and erecting rain water gutter from GI sheets / black M.S.sheets / Aluminium sheets / Stainless steel gutter including cutting and bending the sheets as required, soldering, rivetting etc. complete in required size and shape as per drawing and including applying two coats of bitumenous paint on inside surface and one coat of zinc chromate and three or more coats of approved make and shade of enamel paint to even shade on external surface of the rain water gutter. Rate shall include the cost of necessary clamps, bolts, making zari in wall for fixing gutter and restoring the same as directed and specified.

Providing, laying and fixing aluminium corrugated/ Troughened building sheet(Stucco) of industrial type 20 gauge( 0.91 mm )thick of Indal or equivalent make for roofing/cladding at all levels including cutting the sheets and drilling the holes with side lap of half corrugation and end lap of 150 mm including GI hook bolts, crank (hook), bolts (c/c distance not to exceed 375 mm.) of 8 mm dia, seam bolts of 6 mm dia (c/c distance not to exceed 300 mm) and 20 mm long with GI nuts, flat washer and anti-leakage polymer washer of 25 mm dia and 3 mm thickness with 6 mm dia holes etc. and using template as suggested by manufacturer to ensure proper side laps etc. complete as directed and specified. The fixing of roofing sheets to purlins shall be done as per manufactures specification and as specified in the drawing in any of the following method.

Providing, laying and fixing standard aluminium ridges suitable for industrial type aluminium corrugated roofing sheet, with sufficient end laps, including the cost of GI hook bolts, crank bolts or self tapping screws , GI washer and anti-leakage polymer washer as directed and specified at all levels

Providing & Fixing stainless steel 600 dia " VERGOLA " type roof ventilators made of stainless steel including cost of M. S. frame work and 24 guage G. I. sheet for flashing on all sides as required including G. I. nut, bolt, washers, bitumen washers etc. complete. Rate shall include for all material and labour.

Providing and Fixing 2mm thick Polycarbonate sheets of approved makes for roofing / cladding at all levels. The polycarbonate sheet shall be clear translucent duly formed to match the profile of sheet (for roof and wall cladding) with necessary neoprene rubber gaskets and joints sealed with silicon sealant etc. The side laps and end laps shall be provided as per manufacturer specifications.

Providing and fixing Aluminium anodized Louvers with mosquito net as per shown in drawing. complete with all accessories lock, gasket, rollers etc.

Providing and fixing Aluminium extruded sections of approved make having anodising thickness 12 to 15 microns of approved make (INDAL, JINDAL, HINDALCO etc.) of any size and shape suggested by the consultants for doors with glass holding clips (beading), with 12 to 15 micron anodising, neoprin / PVC gaskets, lining, weather strips etc. including necessary aluminium hardwares (of approved type & shape, size etc.) such as hinges, pivots, handles, locks, stoppers etc. complete including cutting the sections, with all joinery fabrication and erection at site. Only standard weights of extruded aluminium sections shall be measured and paid for. Weights of hardware & cost of lining etc. shall not be paid for.

Providing and Fixing in position front cladding as per detailed drawing using 5.6 mm thick float glass of approved shade and colour using aluminium sections, M.S. sections, M. S. clamps, M. S. supports, Anchor bolts, G. I. sheet flashing at top etc. complete. Joints of glass panels shall be filled with silicon compound. The rate shall include cost of all material and labour including erection. M. S. farme work shall be paid seperately in the relevant item of fabrication. Payment will be connected for the area of glazing surface only.

Providing and fixing in position glazed, fixed / openable, single or double leaf fully glazed 20 micron aluminum anodized doors with frame , as per architect’s details fabricated out of extruded sections confirming to BIS IS 733 and wall thickness not less than 2mm as detailed in the drawing of specified size and shape with/or powder coating of minimum 40 micron of approved shade, including supplying and fixing necessary holdfasts / screws for fixing, clits, 12 mm diameter GI tie rods with nuts both at top and bottom styles, cadmium coated screws, powder coated aluminum handles of approved shape size and finish, for each leaf on both the sides, tower bolt in matching finish 300 mm long at the top and 200 mm long at the bottom, 125 mm SS butt hinges or pivots and all fixtures fastenings as per requirement, 5mm thick float glass fixed with special EPDM gasket felt and powder coated aluminum fittings, including filling the gap between masonry/concrete/stone surface of soffit/jambs/sill and frame by approved gun grade suitable silicon sealant of matching colour, with all labour and materials complete as per drawings and as directed. Providing and fixing 20 micron aluminum anodized fixed type glass paneling (partition) / windows / ventilator fabricated out of extruded sections confirming to BIS IS 733 and wall thickness not less than 3mm as detailed in the drawing of specified size and shape with powder coating minimum 40 micron of approved shade, including supplying and fixing the frame and sub frame with expansion bolts / screws, necessary cleats for jointing with cadmium coated screws/ bolts nuts including providing and fixing glazing using 5 mm thick float glass with EPDM gasket felt, filling the gap between masonry/concrete/stone surface of soffit/jambs/Sill and outer frame by approved gun grade suitable silicon sealant of matching colour, etc complete as per drawing and as directed.

Providing, laying and fixing asbestos cement self supporting curved sheets of 6 mm thickness of approved make for roofing including mitring the corners and cutting the sheets with saw and drilling the holes with side laps of one and half corrugations and end laps of 406 mm including 8 mm dia GI bolts with GI nuts washers and bitumen washer etc. complete. Rate shall include for providing, fixing and removing frame as suggested by the manufacturer for the proper alignment of sheets.Work shall be executed as directed and specified.

Supplying, fabricating and erecting rain water gutter from GI sheets / black M.S.sheets / Aluminium sheets / Stainless steel gutter including cutting and bending the sheets as required, soldering, rivetting etc. complete in required size and shape as per drawing and including applying two coats of bitumenous paint on inside surface and one coat of zinc chromate and three or more coats of approved make and shade of enamel paint to even shade on external surface of the rain water gutter. Rate shall include the cost of necessary clamps, bolts, making zari in wall for fixing gutter and restoring the same as directed and specified.

FINISHING WORK

Providing and applying 12 to 15 mm thick plain cement plaster finish at all heights and below highest plinth level in Cement Mortar (CM) 1:4 (1 part cement: 4 parts sand- 50% coarse and 50% fine) in line, level and plumb to the walls, concrete elements, beams, ceiling, stair, columns, pardis, including making plaster bands, stripes, moulds, pattas, grooves etc, over any brick or concrete surface as specified including scaffolding, curing and finishing smooth, complete as directed.

do as per the item no. 5.1 for 12 to 15 mm thick Single coat mala plaster

-Do- as per Item No.5.1 but for 20 mm thick sand face (gutka) cement plaster at all heights finish in two layers with first coat of 12 mm thick with C:M (1:4)(1 part cement: 4 part sand 50% coarse and 50% fine) in line, level and plumb and second coat of 8 mm thick with C:M (1:2)(1 part cement:2 part fine sand) in line, level, plumb. The plaster surface shall be rubbed with iron plate till the surface shows cement paste, etc. Complete as directed.

do as per the item no. 5.2 for 20mm thick double coat mala plaster

20 mm thick water proof water tight cement finish cement plaster using approved chemical water proofing additives (Hydroshield powder and liquid or their equivalent) with one year guarantee for water tightness of the surface. The mix for cement plaster shall be prepared as per manufacturer specification.

Providing and applying Asian Altima or eq, weather proof exterior paint of M/s Asian Paint Limited of desired shade on new/old, plain plaster and or sand faced plaster work at all heights, below and above highest plinth level, two coats to give an even shade followed by one coat of primer of M/s Asian Paint as recommended by them including all scaffolding etc complete as per manufacturers specifications and as directed.

Providing and applying one coat of suitable primer and three or more coats of approved quality, make and shade paint to give an even shade as per manufacturer specifications. The paint shall be applied with brush. The rate shall include rubbing and cleaning the surface, filling putty, scaffolding etc. complete as directed and specified.

do as per item 5.5 for providing and applying one coat of primer and two or more coats of approved make and shade plastic emulsion paint.

MISCELLANEOUS WORK

Dismantling stone/Brick masonry walls or partition wall plastered or un plastered as per instructions including finishing the broken surface to match with the surroundings, removal and disposal of debries within site including cutting the reinforcement bars, if any etc. complete as directed.

Dismantling the RCC beams, slabs, lintels, columns, pardi, walls, platform etc. including finishing the broken surface to match with the surroundings, removal and disposal of debries within site, including cutting the reinforcement/ MS inserts stacking the same and handing over to stores / yard within site etc. complete as directed.

Providing and filling the zaris 25 mm to 150 mm wide and 50 to 100 mm deep with PCC (1:2:4) and Finishing with plaster to match with surroundings including chiseling, scaffolding, curing etc. complete as directed.

Dismantling P.C.C. in floors, sub base, payment, foundation concrete etc. at all levels including stacking, the debris and reusable materials at the place outside the department\building or disposal outside the employers premises as directed.

Providing and fixing of PVC 150 diameter 500 mm long 6kg/cm pipe for passing cable below ground level, trench, etc as shown in drawing.

Providing and laying PCC vatta and returns in maximum 250mm height and 250mm wide forming triangular curvature profile shape as per the drawing in cement concrete 1:2:4 (1 part cement : 2 parts of sand and:4 parts of stone aggregate 12mm and downgraded),including all manual compaction, finishing, curing etc complete as directed.

This BOQ shall be read in conjunction with Technical Specifications and drawings issued separately.

All workmanship shall be first quality and shall conform to all the requirements of this specification (mentioned elsewhere in tender documents).

Contractor shall be deemed to have visited the site prior to submitting his Bid and made all necessary inspection and investigations and to have decided for himself the means of access and working space, the nature of the ground and subsoil, if any, level of water table, extent of rock demolitions, alterations, support of neighbouring properties, etc.

Electricity & construction water required for works shall be free arranged by the Company at one point.

BOQ is provisional, the Payments shall be made as per actual work done at site as per the joint measurement sheet.

Measurement shall be as per net area for isolated and combined footings, provision of slopes and working space, (if required) will not be measured and shall not be paid.

All levels mentioned in GFC drawing are with respect to existing ground level at site or, for trenches and pits, the bottom of mass excavation, whichever deeper. At the time of handing over the site to the Contractor, if in case, any variation, discrepancy between Good For Construction(GFC) and existing site conditions is noticed, the same should be brought to the notice of Engineer-in Charge/ Architects/Consultants in writing.

Levels are to be taken before and after excavation and as directed by Engineer-in-charge for calculating the depth of excavation.

Contractor should obtain JMS with Engineer / QS / Employer prior to the start of excavation of rock.

Contractor shall provide surveyor along with Total Station Instrument along with other surveying equipment at site when required.

Contractor to ensure the salvage of material from existing structure in demolition to the extent possible in consultation with Engineer / Employer. This Material is Property of Employer, Contractor has no right to takeout of the site unless otherwise instructed.

Contractor shall use the latest mechanical means of excavation suitable to achieve the required excavation level within the agreed time period. All such equipment mobilized on the site shall be in perfectly working condition, well maintained, ensuring no down time during the entire agreed working period. A list of all such equipment, manpower, machinery and the proposed infrastructure that the contractor is going to mobilize for the work shall be submitted to the Engineer in charge before start of work for his approval along with the calculations for estimated output per equipment.

The final approved founding strata shall be left absolutely clean by removing loose, slushy soil, murrum and weathered rock with necessary tools & tackles, cleaning the surface by wire brush and carting away debris, dewatering to keep site dry at all times etc. all complete to the approval of Engineer in charge.

The Contractor shall take all necessary measures for the safety of the excavation, persons working, tools and plants working in and near the excavation pits, property and people in the vicinity. Contractor shall provide all health and safety including necessary barricades, protecting excavated areas, signages etc. and contractor shall indemnify employer against any accident, loss, damage to either personnel or property etc.
