Provision of Road Marking and Traffic signages and other miscellaneous works

General note applicable to all sections : 1) Only sieved river sand/crushed stone sand confirming to Zone-II from Godavari river or Varaha river or Vamsadhara river or Sarada river or Nagavali river / Crushed stone sand shall be used as fine aggregate and Graded hard broken granite metal of 3 stage (VSI) material shall be used as coarse aggregate in relevant items. Specification for fine and coarse aggregate shall confirm to IS:383 (latest revision) 2) In view of limit on water-cement ratio for durability requirements in design mix concrete, concrete admixtures (Carboxylate based superplasticizers of suggested makes as per annexure B of section VII) can be used after taking prior approval of Engineer-in-Charge and the rates quoted for concrete items shall be inclusive of the cost of admixtures, Design mix, trial mixes, testing (at site & at approved labs), etc. complete. 3) The contractor shall set up sufficient number of self loading mobile concrete mixers inside the project area for the production of concrete. 4) Contractor may also be allowed to procure concrete from prior approved RMC plants on prior approval of the BARC subject to maintain required slump at site during pouring.To that extent suitable Mix Design should be carried out with required retention period. No extra payment will be made if concrete is brought from RMC plants outside the project area.

5) Manufacturer's Test certificate of cement which is procured from dealer/company is to be submitted for all cement related works by the contractor. 6) "Substrcture" referes to the part of structure upto top level of ground floor grade slab and "Superstructure"refers to the part of structure above the top of the ground floor grade slab. 7) The Scope of works which are not included in any specific items but indicated in the document "General Scope of all works" shall be within the scope of overall contract works. The cost of work/item/material indicated in this document shall be deemed to be included in the quoted rates of all individual items. 8) The rate quoted for the items by the bidder shall include the suggested make as per Annexure B of Section VII of tender document. Any other additional makes proposed by the bidder have to be informed to BARC before pre-bid meeting (to be held before submission of bids) and to be approved by BARC.

9) The quoted rates shall include necessary royalties, seigneiorage charges,etc. and all other charges to supply all the required construction materials. 10) For all standards and code of practices, specifications, like Indian Standard, MORT&H, ASTM, etc. refer only latest revisions including all applicable amendments, revisions and additional publications (during contract period) and these have to be followed. 11)Prior approval for source of all construction materials by submission of relavent test certificates, documents, invoices etc. have to be taken from BARC. 12) All the tests mentioned in Quality Assurance Plan(QAP) should be carried out without any extra cost. 13) The contractor has to submit all royalty /seigneiorage slips,etc for all the naturally available construction materials before submitting the RA bills.

Providing and applying 2.5 mm thick road marking strips (retro- reflective) of specified shade/ colour using hot thermoplastic material by fully/ semi automatic thermoplastic paint applicator machine fitted with profile shoe, glass beads dispenser, propane tank heater and profile shoe heater, driven by experienced operator on road surface as per IRC 35 and section 803.4 of MORTH 5. Road Marking using marking material confirming to Table 800-9 and reflectorizing glass beads confirming to section 803.4.2 and Table 800-10, including cost of material, labour, T&P, cleaning the road surface of all dirt, seals, oil, grease and foreign material etc. complete as per direction of Engineer-in-charge and accordance with applicable specifications.

Manufacturing, supplying and fixing retro reflective sign boards made up of 2 mm thick aluminium sheet, face to be fully covered with high intensity encapsulated type heat activated retro reflective sheeting including subject matter, message (bi-lingual), symbols and borders etc. as per IRC 67 and Section 801 of MORTH 5, pasted on substrate by an adhesive backing which shall be activated by applying heat and pressure, conforming to Class-C Micro Prismatic grade sheeting - Type XI of ASTM D 4956-09/ IRC 67, manufactured using full cube corner technology, and fixing the same with suitable sized aluminium alloy rivets @ 20 cm c/c to back support frame of M.S. angle iron of size 25x25x3 mm along with theft resistant measures, mounted and fixed with 2 Nos. M.S. angles of size 35x35x5 mm to a vertical post made up to M.S. Tee section ISMT 50x50x6 mm welded with base plate of size 100x100x5 mm at the bottom end and including making holes in pipes, angles flats, providing & fixing M.S. message plate of required size, steel work to be painted with two or more coats of synthetic enamel paint of required shade and of suggested brand & manufacture over priming coat of red oxide/ zinc chromate yellow primer (vertical MS-Tee support to be painted in black and white colours). Backside of aluminium sheet to be painted with two or more coats of epoxy/PU paint over and including appropriate priming coat, vertical support of minimum 2.1m headroom to be embedded in concrete of min. M25 grade to min 750mm depth below ground, including excavation, all leads and lifts etc. complete as per drawing , specification and direction of Engineer--in-charge Note: Following documents to be submitted: 1. 10 years pre-qualification warranty for Type XI retro reflective sheeting from the manufacturer & 2. certified copy of test reports from an Indian govt test laboratory (CRRI/ARAI/ICAT) conforming to clause 6.7 of IRC 67 including 3 years outdoor weather exposure report for the retro reflective sheeting offered. 3. All signs shall be dated during fabrication with indelible markings to indicate the start of warranty

Providing and fixing of Standard Metal Delineator made of Mild Steel with pure polyester powder coating with minimum thickness of 40 micron as per IRC 79, consisting of minimum retro reflective unit exposed area per face with 330 cm2 white color, full cube corner micro prismatic non-metallic retro reflective sheeting on each side conforming with IRC 67 and meeting the coefficient of retro reflection values as per ASTM D 4956-09 Type XI table specification. The delineator shall be painted with powder coat of minimum 40 microns thickness, on top of which retro reflective sheeting shall be pasted on both sides. . Delineator structure shall have alternate band of black paint and white retroreflective sheeting. The structure shall have height of 900 mm above the ground with 300mm base anchored onto the ground and width not less than 100 mm, including excavation, fixing, backfilling, dresing, finishing etc including all leads and lifts complete as per drawing , specification and direction of Engineer--in-charge.

Providing and fixing of Catagory A Bi-directional twin Molded Shank Raised Pavement Markers/Road Stud made of Plastic body moulded from ASA (Acrylic styrene Acryloretrite ) or HIP (High impact polystyrene) or ABS material or equivalent as per section 804 of MORTH 5. The marker shall have compressive strength of 13635 kg and Flexural Strength of 909 kgftested accordance with ASTM D4280 . Reflective panels shall consist of number of lenses containing Single or dual prismatic cubes capable of providing total internal reflection of light entering the lens face. The Slope or the retro-reflecting surface shall be 35 +/- 5 degree to the base and area of each retro reflecting surface shall not be less than 13 Sqcm. Height of the marker shall not exceed 20 mm and its width shall not exceed 130 mm. Molded shank RPM shall have the shank strength of 600 kgf. Road Studs Shall be legibly marked with the name, trade mark or other means of identification of the manufacturer. Head of the stud shall be Smooth & shall not present any sharp edges to traffic. RPM shall be of Catagory A with optical performance (Coefficient of Luminous Intensity- CIL ) shall not be less than that given in Table 800-13 of MoRTH specification (5th revision) for Bi-directional stud. Placement of road studs including fixed by drilling holes on the road for the shanks to go inside, without nails and using epoxy resin based adhesive as per manufacturer’s specification and as per relevent IRC 35- 2015, including transporting, finishing etc. complete as per direction of Engineer-In-Charge. Note: Following documents to be submitted:- 1. Submit a prequalification warranty for Two year . 2. Test certificate from an Indian Government labouratory (CRRI/ARAI/ICAT) on Abrassion resitance as per ASTM D 4280, Coefficient of Luminance Intensity-CIL as per MoRTH table 800-13, 3. Certificate for Material, Marker Height, Color, Slope of Reflecting Surface (Lens), Lens Impact strength, & Longitudinal Flexural Strength

Supply and fixing 36"/900mm diameter Outdoor convex mirror (reflective type) of LOTUS/ALCOLITE make and material will be of polycarbonate with chrome coating, body material ABS with screws and brackets. Mirror backside to be fitted with G.I sheeting for strength and stability. The mirror shall be fixed with G.I pipe of 76 mm dia and minimum 2.4 m (8ft.). The pipe shall be TATA/JINDAL of heavy grade make. Concrete pedestal of size (600X600X600) mm with PCC 1:2:4 grade including earthwork and shuttering with 100mm thick base concrete of 1:4:8 grade. The pipes shall be pasted with "black & white", hazard retroreflective stickering 3M make or equivalent for easy identification including all labour, materials, transportation, all tools and plants etc. complete. The work shall be carried out as directed by Engineer -In-Charge

Providing, suppling and fixingof PVC Speed breakers yellow and black alternate pattern, hump size 350x 250x50mm , proving rounded edges at both ends of the roads having grip design on top capacity/ strength of minimum 60 tons fixing by suitable size of steel fasteners including all labour and materials and as directed by Engineer-in-charge.

Providing and laying design mix cement concrete of M30 grade by weigh batching using graded stone aggregate of 20mm max. size including handling & transportation, mechanical mixing, placing to required location by hoisting and / or pumping & mechanical vibration, consolidation, finishing, curing, hacking of concrete surfaces wherver required etc., compelte at all levels as per specifications & also including dewatering, if any, complete all as per drawings, spefication and as directed by the Engineer-in-charge but excluding form work, shuttering and steel reinforcement which will be paid under relevant items.

Providing centering and shuttering using steel plates, timber planks indicated in specification, so as to produce neat form finished concrete surfaces, including necessary strutting, propping, staging, supports, bracings etc., at all levels / heights including clear storey heights and removal of the same and including sealing the form joints suitably to avoid fins and abrupt irregularities, etc., completed all as per drawings, specification and as directed by Engineer-in-charge.
