M&L for raking out sealing compund from existing expansion joints of dimension 25 mm to 32 mm wide and 36-40 mm deep, removing the debris from site by sweeping the concrete surface with brooms, cleaning with compressed air, treating sides and bottom of the joints with primer as per manufacture's directions and filled with preformed closed cell polyethylene backup rod/strip of 25-32 mm dia, sealing with pitch free polyurethane grey sealant (minimum depth of sealant above backup rod shall be 10-12 mm) conforming to BS-5212 (Type FB) including applying masking tape on edges of joints to prevent accident spillage of sealant and removing the masking tape after application of sealant all as specified and directed

M&L for forming dummy/ Construction joints 25mm deep and 8-10 mm wide (using diamond cutter) providing polythene backup rod 12mm dia and sealed with polyurthene sealent (minimum depth of sealent 10-12 mm) complying with BS- 5212 priming the sides and applying masking tape on edge of joint to prevant accidential spillage of sealent on top surfaces and to give a neat finish to the sealant and removing the masking tape after sealant is applied complete all as specified and directed.

M&L Chipping and or neatly Cutting of existing loose concrete at cracks on Runway/Taxi track/pavement by using mechanical tools. Cutting of cracked portion shall not be less than 100 mm wide and 45 mm deep. Cleaning the dirt and all loose material fanned with air blower and air blasting the cleaned surface applying proprietory primer on surfaces to obtained tack and finally filling in Elastomeric Concrete, (Mix shall be prepared as per manufacturer) to obtained a true surface and finally tooling the set surface with hand tools complete all as specified and directed. Note : (i) The rate shall be include for providing masking tape at joints and formwork required if any at spalled joints edges. (ii) The quoted rate deemed to be included for making good to disturbed joint filling around the area where material is applied. (iii) All material shall only be procured directly from manufacturer.

M&L Cutting existing loose patches / spalled edges of concrete pavement in square / rectangular / triangular shape to a depth not less than 25mm removing debris out side MD land sweeping the patches with broom, cleaning with compressed air and applying epoxy resin primer @ 0.45 Kg/Sqm, filled with epoxy resin mortar (proportion as specified) incl necessary form work for sides of joints, sprinkle, a thin layer of dust free fine sand (QUARTZ SAND 10 No)and applying a coat on top of surface with epoxy resin primer @ 0.45Kg/Sqm and finally filling the joints with sealing compound complete all as specified and as directed by Engineer-in-Charge (Sealing of joint shall be measured under respective item seperately.

M&L for cleaning the surface by brushing with wire brushed for removing caked mud etc sweeping with compressor air blower to remove all loose dust and dirt etc and taking out dust/existing material with compressed air and making the surface free from dust drying the surface and applying one coat of cold polymeric modified bitumen emulsion (PME) by brushing self propelled bitumen emulsion distribution uniformly or towed bitumen emulsion pressure sprayer, equipped for spraying the binder uniformaly and mopping the total cold liquid PME @ min 1.00 litre per sqm diluted in ration 1:1 (PME water) and ensure uniform finish of total area complete all as specified and directed.

M&L for Preparation of old concrete / bitumen surfaces on rigid/flexible pavement of Runway/Taxi track over 10 cm width or girth of any description and two coats of painting lines , dashes , arrows, letters etc with water based paint (first quality super acrylic emulsion) any tint all as specified and directed.

M&L for repairs to cracks of width less than 4 mm in flexible surfaces by cleaning of the cracks with coir brushes and make it free from dust and apply cold Plymeric Modified Emulsion (PME) as primer coat (0.5 Ltr per Running meter) and first 50% of the crack / cavity filled with cold polymeric modified emulsion (PME) (1.5 Ltr per running meter) and followed with mineral fillers (fibrous cum quartz powder) mixed with cement in 1: 1 ratio in two coats to ensure complete filling/total filling of the gap through grouting pump in line with existing pavement finally dry coarse sand mixed with cement in 1:1 ratio sprinkled on top complete all as per manufacture's instructions complete all as per specified and directed. Note:- The tenderer shall take into consideration the following points while quoting his rate for the above item:- (i) No price adjustment shall be applicable if excess quan tity of cold modified emulsion(PME) than the mentioned above is used dependin g upon condition of the surface to be treated.
