CONSULTANCY SERVICES FOR SOIL INVESTIGATION AND TOPOGRAPHICAL SURVEY FOR CONSTRUCTION OF NEW GENERATION EQUIPMENT BAY FOR NEWLY INDUCTED EQUIPMENT AT FACULTY OF WEAPON TECHNOLOGY, EME SCHOOL VADODARA

1. To carryout the test to ascertain soil profiles/proportion to determine safe bearing capacity complete with field and lab investigation according to relevant specifications of IS 2131, IS 6403, IS 1498 & IS 2720 2. Conducting soil investigation for following: (a) 150mm dia meter bore holes as per IS specification to be made for conduct of various tests including Standard Penetraion Test (SPT) (b) Bore Hole (i) No of bore holes = 05 (ii) Depth of bore hole = 15m (c) Collection of disturbed and undisturbed soil sample at an interval of 1.00 mtr or at change of strata or as per relevant IS Code. (d) Conducting lab test on disturbed soil samples as considered necessary according to relevant specifications of IS 2720. (i) Sieve analysis & Grain size distribution by sieve analysis & hydrometer test. (ii) Atterberg limits. (iii) Natural moislure content. (iv) Particle size analysis test. (v) Bulk density/dry density.

(e) Conducting lab test on undisturbed soil sample as considered necessary according to relevent specification of IS 2720 and detailed result showing all relevant calculations, interferences, indices and parameters shall be given in the soil report:- (i) Natural moisture content. (ii) Bulk density. (iii) Specific gravity. (iv) Free swell index and swelling properties of soil (v) Organic matter in soil if any. (vi) Consoildation test (compressed index value) (vii) Triaxial comperession test and determination of shear parameters (C & ɸ test) as per relevant IS. (viii) Harmful salt (complete investigalion as already ref.) (f) Ground Water Table:- (i) Maximum and minimum levals of Ground water in the area with Source of information. (ii) Ground water table during the investigations.

Submission of Six copies of ink signed test reports with detailed desecription of field investigation of test results, grains size distrubution curves, compressive index curves, site plan etc. The SBC of the soil is reqiured to be given as per following table Calculation of bearing capacity will be governed generally as per IS 8009 (Pt-l) - 1976, IS 2720 (Pt-ll)- 1980, IS 6403-1981, IS 1904-1986 & IS 1080-1985 and other relevant IS codes and detailed calculations duly showing the various soil parameters/indices shall be given in the Soil Report.:- With every site 's soil investigation Report, a detailed site plan showing the approx location of each bore duly numbered as per log of bore the should be enclosed. Location of foundation of adjacent structures, especia those that might be impacted by the proposed construction should indicated with details in site plan. Photogarphic record of geo-exploralions as well as testing shall also form part of the report. Every page of the Soil investigation Report should have the Name of the Job for which Soil Investigation is being carried out. In case of multiple site of a single Job are pertaining to the site. Note : All pages of the Soil Investigation Report shall be serially numbered stamped and signed be the Agency carrying out the Soil Investigation Report , Location of site shall be shown by Engineer-in-Charge.

It is proposed to construct two buildings for which soil investigation is to be carried out, one builduing is a single story eqpt shed with total plinth area of approx 2300 sqm and height of 11.5 m, second building is 2 storey (G+01) RCC slab building with total plinth area of 1100 sqm and height 6.2 m. Both buildings are to be located adjacent to each other Geotechnical investigations report should recommed type of foundation (isolated/combined footing, raft, pipe etc). requirement of temporary/permanent deep excavalion support measure during construction of building as envisaged and necessary excavation support measures to be given by the consultant based on geotechnical investigations.

Conducting Topography survey by using Total station with 1 to 3 second accuracy. The survey includes marking of important structure, utility lines (i.e electric line, telephone line, water line, gas line) etc visible on ground only. The ground levels will be collected in appropriate grid & contour will be plotted at interval of 0.5 mt / 1.0 mt or as per topography. Temporary benchmark will be established on any existing structure. Benchmark shall be painted properly and mentioned in the report. Submission of survey drawing in one soft copy & one hard copy. Area= 5000sqm

To carry out plate load test preparing reaction loading platform. This includes arrangment of Girders, Hydraulic Jack (complete with pump pressure gauge and flexible pipe, dial gauge with magnetic bases chequers of grove steel plate varying in size, datum bar or road nev\cessary tool kit and conducting test at site acordance to IS 1888-1982.
