Removal of Runway marking paint from concrete (rigid)/bitumenous (flexible) surfaces using high pressure water / ultra high pressure water vaccumising by using mechanical equipment to remove the total paint deposits from the runway surfaces, keeping the surface texture and condition remain intact complete all as specified and as directed. Notes :- (i) The work shall be carried out through authorized & qualified applicator only as approved by GE. (ii ) Total runway marking paint should be removed and the debris / water vacummed simultaneously leaving no FOD so that the runway is available for operation immediately. (iii) The make of machine to be deployed for Runway marking paint removal should have E-in-C approval eg. SH8000 , SH5000 , SH3000 (iv) Runway marking paint debris should be in soild form when finally disposed. (v) In any emergency situation, the machine should exit from the runway in less than 2 Min without leaving FOD. (vi) Friction test should be carried out before & after runway marking paint removal operation. (vii) The surface of both concrete / bitumenous shall not get any kind of damages during the process of Runway marking paint removal nor to any adjoining areas, joint filling etc.,damages made if any , shall be made good by the contractor with out any extra cost to Govt. (viii) Work shall be carried out in phase manner as per availability of runway for maintenance.
