FOUNDATION - PILES & PILE CAPS Bored cast-in-situ M35 grade RCC piles of 1000 mm diameter in all kinds of soil (including hard & boulders) by Hydraulic Rig Machine excluding cost of steel reinforcement, complete as per drawing and conforming to section 1100 and 1700 of MORTH specifications of latest edition and clause 709 of IRC: 78-2000/latest edition including cost of bentonite slurry, initial vertical and lateral load tests, routine load tests and removal of excavated earth with all lifts and lead. i) 1000mm dia piles.) The scope of work in the above items include: 1)The cost of all initial layout of piles and setting out, initial excavation, if any. 2 a) The cost of boring through all types of soils/existing road/pavement, removal of all obstruction like boulders, old foundation concrete or rock to be paid in relevant item above by chiseling or any other method as approved by the Engineer-in-Charge. If a bore is abandoned for any reason no payment shall be made for such incomplete boring and shifting of the equipment's. 2b)The cost of filling up of the empty bore, if required. 3)The cost of preparation, circulation and handling of bentonite slurry. 4) The cost of disposal of all spoils, bentonite waste to keep the work area neat. 5)The cost of providing temporary liner and its withdrawal, if required below adjoining ground level (irrespective of the R.L. of the adjoining ground level) for vertical piles. 6)The cost of providing and mixing all ingredients of cement concrete (except reinforcement steel) including admixtures, with batching plant, transportation, placement of concrete by termie pipe for the required lengths of pile including providing cover blocks, stiffeners, handling bars etc. for safe handling of reinforcement cage. 7) The cost of breaking of pile head not earlier than 3 days after concreting and to remove spoil concrete to bring the pile head to the socketing level including cleaning and arranging the extended reinforcement bars as per drawings. 8) The cost of working for all leads, lifts, pumping / bailing out of water, labour, material and equipment etc. 9)The cost of mobilizing to site, installation at different locations transferring / dismantling, shifting, reinstalling and removal from site of the piling rigs and/or other equipment's and all accessories including working platforms. 10) The cost of identification, protection and maintenance of existing services, if any, which in the opinion of Engineer-in-charge are likely to be affected by piling operation incl. temporary shifting of such services to facilitate piling job shall also have to be done, if so required by the Engineer-in-Charge and the cost for the same as assessed by the Engineer-in-Charge shall be reimbursable. 11) The cost of barricading and all traffic safety requirements as specified in the tender doCument. 12) The cost of all incidentals, labour, material, equipment and works required to execute the job. The item also includes any other incidental expenditures for completing the job as per the direction of the engineer-in-charge. 13) The item includes the cost of testing of all the materials involved in the execution of the item as per QAP. 14) The item includes the cost of Initial vertical load testing, Lateral / horizontal load testing, routine load testing required as per IS : 2911 part (iv) and as per MoRT&H specification including casting of all Test Piles , boring, steel and concrete of all test piles. Minimum 2 no. of tests shall be carried out for each of Initial- Vertical load test, Initial- Lateral Load test, Routine test. Initial Pile load test shall be carried upto failure, as per requirements of deflection as per IRC 78:2014 (with latest amendments) Routine Load test shall be carried upto 1.5 times the pile capacity B) Mode of Measurement : 1) Length of pile shall be measured from cut off level to the tip of the pile correct to a cm in case where the pile is terminated. The rock level shall be determined as per criteria mentioned elsewhere in the tender doCument for payment of boring trough rock. 2) Reinforcement steel shall be measured & paid separately (MORT&H 1100 & 1700)

Earth work in excavation for casting pile cap in all type of soils, weathered rock, existing footings, removal of boulders, concrete, ballast, stone etc including protecting the excavated sides, if required, till concreting, bailing out water to keep the area clean and dry during placement of reinforcement and concrete till the concrete sets finally. The item includes the cost of disposal of all spoils, dismantled materials, surplus earth for all leads and lifts as per clause No. 304 of MoRT&H Specifications 5th revision 2013 and to keep the work area neat and tidy during the work and thereafter. Payment shall be made based on approved plan dimensions for PCC below pile cap. The cost of backfilling around the pile cap and restoration of road, if required shall be included.

Providing and laying plain cement concrete M-15 (aggregate 20mm nominal size) under the pile cap . The rate shall include the cost of all labour, material etc complete job as per clause No. 1000/ 1500/ 1700 of MoRT&H Specifications 5th revision 2013 including bailing out water to keep the area dry as per instruction of Engineer in charger complete in all respect.

Providing and laying reinforced cement concrete M-35 grade with minimum cement content of 422 Kg. per Cum for construction of pile caps concrete using Ordinary Portland Cement of grade 43 appropriate sand, aggregate, water, admixtures in suitable proportions as per approved mix design, as per approved drawings supplied by the Engineer-in-charge, including all types of shuttering, centering, necessary tools, plants, machinery, and all related operations as required to complete the work with all leads, lifts and depths true to line, level and position all complete excluding the cost of reinforcement steel complete as per clause No. 1000/ 1500/ 1700/ 2100 of MoRT&H Specifications 5th revision 2013. (A) The scope of work in the items include: (1) The cost of all initial layout and setting out work including identification of existing services, if any. (2) The cost of all pumping/bailing out of water, including its labour, mateiral and equipments. (3) The cost of providing centering and shuttering including its erection, dismantling and removal of formwork including all leads and lifts with all required tools and plants to the required line and level. (4) The cost of providing and mixing all ingredients (except reinforcement steel) including admixtures etc. with batching plant, transportation, placement, finishing and curing of concrete. (5) The cost of maintenance and protection of existing services, if any which in the opinion of Engineer-in-charge are likely to be affected by any related activities including temporary shifting of such services to facilitate construction of pile cap work shall also have to be done, if so required by the Engineer-in-charge, and the cost for the same as assessed by the Engineer-in-charge shall be reimbursable. (6) The cost of installation of any fixture into the pile cap (cost of fixture to be paid separately) (7) The cost of barricading and all safety requirements as specified elsewhere in the tender doCument. (8) The cost of testing of all the materials, involved in the execution of items as per QAP. (9) The cost of all incidental labour, materials, equipment and works required to execute the job as per directions of engineer-in-charge. (B) Mode of measurement: (1) Measurements shall be made for the finished volume of reinforced cement concrete restricted to volume as per approved drawing (excluding cost of reinforcement steel only). The rate shall include cost of all material including galvanizing / epoxy coating tying wire, binding wire, cover block, provision of stools, chairs, spacer bars, overlaps, support bars , labour, transportation, storing and all other incidental charges, tools & plants etc complete. as per clause No. 1600 of MORT&H specification 2013 / Latest edition for road and bridges works.

(A) The scope of work in the item includes (1) The cost of all incidental work required including providing, placement and removal, shifting of shuttering, cleaning, oiling & maintenance, reaction & removal of staging, scaffolding and form liner etc, for abutment, return wall/wing wall, retaining wall, pier shafts, bracket, pier cap, dirt wall etc. as stated in other parts of the tender document. Providing and laying reinforced cement concrete M-40 grade with minimum cement contents 0f 430Kg. per Cum for construction of bearing Pedestal, beams, slabs and PSC Girder (Super structure) using ordinary Portland Cement of grade 43 appropriate sand, aggregate, water, admixtures in suitable proportions as per approved mix design, as per approved drawings supplied by the Engineer-in-charge, including all types of shuttering, centering, necessary tools, plants, machinery, and all related operations as required to complete the work with all leads, lifts and depths true to line, level and position all complete excluding the cost of reinforcement steel complete as per clause No. 1000/ 1500/ 1700/ 2300 of MoRT&H Specifications 5th revision 2013. (A) The scope of work in the item includes (1) The cost of all incidental work required including providing, placement and removal, shifting of shuttering, cleaning, oiling & maintenance, rection & removal of staging, scaffolding and form liner etc, for bearing pedestal, beam, slab, PSC Girder etc.and other works as stated in other parts of the tender doCument. Supplying; fitting & fixing in position true to line and level POT / PTFE bearing consisting of a metal piston supported by a disc or unreinforced elastomer confined with in a metal cylinder, sealing rings, dust seals, PTFE surface sliding against stainless steel mating surface, complete assembly to be as per IRC: 83 Part-III and as per clause no. 2000 and 2200 of MORT&H specification-2013.The bearing shall be of Sanfield/METCO.(MORT&H 2000 & 2200) Free Bearing

Pin Bearing

Longitudinal and Transversely Guided Bearing (A) The scope of work of this item includes (1) The cost of design and submission of bearing design & drawings for approval to Engineer-in-charge. (2) The cost of testing of bearings as per IRC 83 (3) The coefficient of friction between PTFE and SS Plate shall be taken as 5% for designing the bearings. The range of total movement of guide and free bearing shall be 30mm. The bearings shall be pre-set in the factory as specified in the approved drawing. (4) The cost of placement of various types of bearings or its components in position during casting of pier, pier cap etc. as per detailed specifications / instructions attached, including grouting of the holes and ready mix grout underside of base plate with approved quality of non shrink cementatious grout is included in the scope of the item. (5) The cost of all materials, labour, equipments, tools and plants, machinery required for execution of works (6) The cost of cleaning of blocks, placing and grouting anchor bolts in position after proper leveling and pre-setting. (7) The cost of maintenance of bearings during construction and maintenance period. (8) The cost of supervision by bearing manufacture(s) during installation. (9) The cost of testing of all the material involved in the execution of item as per QAP. (10) The load test and other tests on completed bearings as specified by MoRT&H as acceptance criteria.

SUPER STRUCTURE High tensile steel wires/strands 12.7mm dia, 7 ply, low relaxation including cost of sheathing pipe Anchorage, bearing plate, Wedges, Master Grip, Strand Coupler etc, including all other necessary accessories for stressing, stressing operations and grouting complete in all respect as per drawing and technical specification as per clause No. 1800 of MoRT&H specification-2013.

Steel reinforcement: Supply, cutting, bending, fixing in position steel reinforcement of any diameter, TMT Fe-500 grade) as per relevant BIS specification and drawing in super structure works. Providing laying and fixing in position reinforced cement concrete Crash Barrier at the edges of the road, approaches to bridge structure and medians, constructed with M-40 grade concrete (including TMT reinforcement steel), including centering shuttering and form work etc. conforming to IRC:21 and dowel bars 25mm dia, 450mm long at expansion joints filled with pre-moulded asphalt filler board keyed to the structure on which it is built and installed as design given in the enclosure to MOST Circular No. RW/NH-33022/1/94-DO III dt. 24th June 1994 and at locations directed by the Engineer as per clause No. 811 of MORT&H specification-2013.

Providing and fixing G.I. Hand Rail 65 mm dia over the crash barrier consisting of MS base plate, embedded fastener and nuts. MS vertical plates and pipes etc, as shown in the drawings and as per specifications and painting the same with 3 or more coats of paints. All the railing components as mentioned above to be hot dip galvanized with a zinc coating of at least 175 gm/sqm. Item to include all incidental works required to complete the work as per the directions of the Engineer-in-charge as per MORT&H specification-2013.

Providing and installing single strip seal expansion joints of SANFIELD/ METCO/MAGEBA with a total allowable maximum movement 80mm as per Clause 2606 of MORTH specifications for Road and Bridge Works (5th Revision) 2013 supplemented with manufacturer’s recommendations. Entire installation is to be carried out strictly in the presence of manufacturer's representative only, at all times. The seal of the expansion joint shall be such as not to permit any dust collection at all times. A) The scope of work in the item includes: 1)Cost of all materials, labours, equipment and other incidental charges for execution of this item. Supervision during installation by the manufacturer is also included. 3)Item to include necessary provision and filling of recess for the expansion joints at no extra cost .4)The item includes the cost of testing of all the materials involved in the execution of the item as per QAP and testing of completed and installed joints as per the acceptance criteria of MORTH. B) Mode of Measurement : 1) The expansion joints shall be measured in running meters. The length payable is the actual length provided at site including vertical parts of kerbs / crash barriers, footpath etc. (MORT&H 2606).

Providing and applying Bituminous tack coat with bitumen VG:10 using minimum 2.5 kg per 10 sqm area on granular/bituminous surface complete in all respect including cost of bitumen VG:10 as per Clause No. 503 on MoRT&H Specification 5th revision of 2013. Instruction will be issued from time to time regarding bitumen will be followed strictly.

Providing and laying 50mm thick Stone Matrix Asphalt with 100-120 TPH batch type hot mix plant producing an average output of 75 tonnes per hour using crushed aggregates of specified grading, premixed with bituminous binder VG-40 @ 6.5 per cent of mix and filler, transporting the hot mix to work site laying with a hydrostatic paver finisher with sensor MoRT&H control to the required grade, level and alignment, rolling with smooth wheeled, vibratory and tandem rollers to achieve the desired compaction as per MORTH specification clause no. 507 complete in all respect.

Drainage spouts 100 dia G.I. pipe complete as per drawing and technical specification as per clause 2705 of MoRT&H specification (A) The scope of work in the item includes: (1) The providing, placing, joining and fixing the drainage pipes with all necessary pitting, tools and tackles etc., complete as per the approved drawing. (2) The cost of works to make taping all points to be leak proof, tested etc. including all couplers, materials, manpower and tool and tackle etc. complete as per the direction of Engineer-in-charge. (B) Mode of Measurement: (1) The measurement shall be made in number for the drainage port supplied and installed at site. The payment for the pipes will be made in running meters. The quantity will be restricted to the length as shown in the approved drawings.

Providing & Marking center line / side line 2.5mm thick (minimum) with hot applied thermo-plastic road marking paint 10 Cms wide/ 15cm wide complete in all respect such as furnishing all labour, materials, tolls equipments including all incidental costs necessary for carrying out in work at site confirming to the technical specification as clause No. 803 of MORT&H specification for road and bridge works (5th revision) of 2013/ Latest edition. Each container of the thermoplastic material shall have the name trademark or other means of identification of manufacturer, batch number, date of manufacture color maximum application temperature and maximum heating temperature. The thermoplastic paint material shall be of Asian Paint-Apcomark/ Berger-Sigmarc/Prismo. The glass beads shall be of Potters/Sovitec/Fleolite. The thermoplastic material shall be sampled and tested in accordance with appropriate ASTM/BS method. The contractor shall furnish to the Engineer-in-Charge a copy of certified test reports from the manufacturer of the thermoplastic material meet all requirement of the specifications. The reflectorzing glass beads shall meet the requirement of clause 803.4.2 and test methods mentioned in clause 803.4.2.4 shall be meticulou8sly followed. The minimum thickness specified is exclusive of surface of glass beads. The method of thickness measurement shall be in accordance with appendix B and C of BS:3262 (part-3). Note- Before start of work the contractor shall give material batch nos, manufacturing date of the material to be used.

Providing and laying plain cement concrete M15 (aggregate 20mm nominal size) under the approach slab. The rate shall include the cost of all labour, material etc complete job as per clause No. 1000/ 1500/ 1700 of MoRT&H Specifications -2013 including bailing out water to keep the area dry as per instruction of Engineer in charge complete in all respect.

Providing and fixing in position 20mm thick premoulded joint filler in expansion joint for fixed ends of simply supported spans not exceeding 10 m to cater for a horizontal movement upto 20 mm covered with sealant complete as per drawing and technical specification.

Reinforced cement concrete (M-35) with minimum cement content 422 kg per Cum of concrete in approach slab including reinforcement and formwork complete in all respect as per drawing and technical specification as per clause 1500, 1600, 1700 & 2704 of MoRT&Hspecification-2013

Painting two coats after filling the surface with Birla Putty and painting the surface with synthetic enamel paint in all shades on concrete surfaces as per clause 803 of MoRT&H specification.

RETAINING WALL IN SOLID FILL PORTION Earthwork in excavation of foundation of structure as per drawing and technical specification, including setting on construction of shoring and bracing removal of stumps and other deleterious matter, dressing of sides and bottom and backfilling with approved material MORT&H No. 12.1 (B)).

Providing and laying of Plain Cement Concrete M-15 with minimum cement content of 275 kg per Cum of concrete for levelling course 100 mm thick below the pile cap.as per clause 1100 and 1700 of MoRT&H specification.

Reinforced cement concrete (M-35) with minimum cement content of 422 kg per Cum of concrete in abutment, return wall/wing wall, retaining wall, pier shafts, bracket, pier cap, dirt wall etc. complete as per drawing and technical specifications as per clause 1500, 1700 & 2200 of MoRT&H specification.

Steel reinforcement: Supply, cutting, bending, fixing in position steel reinforcement of any diameter, TMT Fe-500 grade) as per relevant BIS specification and drawing in super structure works. The rate shall include cost of all material including galvanizing / epoxy coating tying wire, overlaps, labour, transportation, storing and all other incidental charges, tools & plants etc complete. Providing and laying of filter media with granular materials / stone crushed aggregates satisfying the requirements laid down in clause 2504.2.2 of MORTH specifications to a thickness of not less than 600 mm with smaller size towards the soil and bigger size towards the wall and provided over the entire surface behind abutment, wing wall and return wall to the full height compacted to a firm condition complete as per drawing and technical specification as per clause 710.1.4 of IRC:78 and 2200 of MoRT&H specification.

Providing weep holes in Brick masonry/Plain/Reinforced concrete abutment, wing wall/return wall with 100 mm dia AC pipe, extending through the full width of the structure with slope of 1V :20H towards drawing foce. Complete as per drawing and Technical specifications.

Road Work in Retaining Wall Portion: Dismantling of reinforcement cement concrete with cleaning and straightening and cutting of bars if required (existing side drain) and existing structures like culverts, bridges, retaining walls, and other structure (HSR 8.6 e)

Scarifying Existing Granular road surface to a depth of 300 mm and disposal of scarified material within all lifts and leads upto 1000 metres.

Dismantling of Cement Concrete Pavement (Dismantling of cement concrete pavement by mechanical means using pneumatic tools, breaking to pieces not exceeding 0.02 Cum in volume and stock piling at designated locations and disposal of dismantled materials up to a lead of 1000 metres, stacking serviceable and unserviceable materials separately).

Milling of distress bituminous layer upto 50mm depth in a single pass with suitable milling machine (capable of milling @ 200-300 sqm area per Hr.) fitted with loading conveyor for loading the milled material directly on the trucks i/c hauling and stock piling the material near the central recycling plant or reclaiming to bring to required as per specification to reuse with the approval of Engineer-in-Charge for safe disposal with all leads and lifts complete in all respects.Note I:- The unutilized quantity of reclaimed bituminous mix material shall be a recovery item.

Earth work in embankment, sub grade, earthen shoulder including Lay Byes, junctions, parking with approved material obtained from Borrow pits (Minimum CBR value 8% for sub grade only) with all lead and lifts and laying in 20 cm layer and compaction including dressing of banks and side slopes to given levels and templates after breaking of clods, also including cost of watering and rolling including compensation of earth. The successive layer of earth should not be provided until and unless layer under construction is thoroughly compacted. The complete rate quoted by the contractor shall take into account all allowances for labour, hardness, wetness and all kinds of carriage, loading & unloading, total lead and lift of soil involved to the entire satisfaction of Engineer - in -charge conforming fully to specification No. 305 of MORT&H including subsequent and corrigenda issued from time to time. The compaction of work shall be achieved 97% of MDD. The top level of Sub grade should be minimum 1.00 mtr. above the adjoining field / ground levels. The rate should include excavation of road way and using the excavated soil in embankment to ensure that every where 500mm sub grade is prepared afresh with new borrow area soil having minimum CBR value 8% Adjoining field ground levels shall be mean of levels taken in every 250m length at a longitudinal distance of 25 m both sides and 50 m distance from center line of the road longitudinal profile based on above parameters shall be approved and finalized by Engineer-in-charge before GSB is started on earth work. Ensuring that average top of sub grade for whole length shall be 1.20m above adjoining ground level as defined above. Bidders are accordingly advised to inspect the site. The finished road surface will be with 2 meter earthen berms on both side with 1.5 : 1 (B : H) slope for all carriage way road as per attached X-sections. Note:- The above said embankment item inclusive of the following (i) Fly ash /Pond ash ( confirming to table 1 of IRC : SP : 58-2001) of coal or lignite burning Thermal Plants as waste martial obtained from any Thermal Power Station including spreading and compaction in layers as defined in IRC : SP : 58-2001 (ii) Furnishing and laying of the live sods of perennial turf forming grass on embankment slope, verges or other locations shown on the drawing or as embankment slope, verges or other locations shown on the drawing or as directed by the Engineer including preparation of ground fetching of sods and watering (MORT&H Clause 307). (NS) (iii) If soil of CBR 8% is not available then the agency will do appropriate stabilization as per IRC – SP-89-2010 as approved by Engineer and nothing extra shall be paid on this account and it will be incidental to work. No earth work will be allowed from PWD land. Vertiber Grass will be planted and maintained upto DLP on side slopes of embankment which will be incidental to work.

Providing and applying Tack Coat with bitumen VG-10 using bitumen pressure distributor at the rate of 0.25 kg per sqm on the prepared bituminous/granular surface cleaned with mechanical broom as per clause 503 of MoRT&H specification.

Providing and laying 115mm thick DENSE GRADED BITUMINOUS MACADAM (in two layer 65+50mm) with 100-120 TPH batch type HMP producing an average output of 75 tonne per hour using crushed aggregates of specified grading, premixed with bituminous binder VG-40 grade @ 4.5 percent by weight of total mix and filler, transporting the hot mix to work site, laying with a hydrostatic paver finisher wit sensor control to the required grade, level and alignment, rolling with smooth wheeled, vibratory and tandem rollers to achieve the desired compaction as per MoRT&H specification clause 507 complete in all respect.

Providing and laying 50 mm compacted thickness of Bituminous Concrete (BC) in one layer with 80-100 THP batch type batch type Hot Mix Plant with bituminous binder VG-40 5.2% (minimum) and filler, transporting the hot mix to work site, laying with a hydrostatic paver finisher with sensor control to the required grade, level and alignment, rolling with smooth wheeled, vibratory or with pneumatic tyred roller of 12 to 15 tonne weight with a tyre pressure of at least 0.56 MPa and tandem rollers to achieve the desired compaction as per MORT&H specification (Vth revision)-2013 Clause No. 507 complete in all respect. If bitumen required is more than 5.2% as per job mix formula no extra payment will be made. Extra bituminous required will be considered as incidental to work.

Provision of an reinforced cement concrete crash barrier at the edges of the road approaches to bridge structures and medians, constructed with M-40 grade concrete with minimum cement content 430 kg per Cum of concrete filled with pre-moulded asphalt filler board, keyed to the structure on which it is built and installed as per design given in the enclosure to MOST circular no. Pavement Marker (Cat Eyes) Moulded shank raised pavement markers made of polycarbonate and ABS moulded body and reflective panels with micro prismatic lens capable of providing internal reflection of the light entering the lens face and shall support a load of 16000 KG tested in accordance to ASTM D 4280 Type H and complying to specifications of Category A of MORTH Circular No. W/NH/33023/10-97-DO III dt. 11.06.1997. Recovery items: The rates quoted against recovery items will not be included in the total amount rather it will be deducted while calculating financial statement of the agency. Material obtained from dismantling of existing, bituminous layer and granular layers have been calculated taking assumption that 80% of theoretical material will be retrieved. The dismantled material can used in any of the item for the work after modification (bringing it to required specifications) after approval from employer. In case it is not possible to use this material on the work, the agency can take away this material. This material can be taken away by the agency at the price quoted by the agency but minimum price to be quoted is limited to reserve price as fixed and mentioned as under :- a) i) Bituminous Material @ 80% of 159.54 Cum = 127.63 Cum @ Rs. 1500 Cum.
