Chipping of unsound/ weak concrete material for 50mm average thickness from slabs, beams, walls, columns etc. with manual chiselling and/ or by standard power driven percussion type hammer including tapering of all edges, making square shoulders of cavities including cleaning the exposed concrete surface and reinforcement with wire brushes etc. and disposal of debris to a distance n.exc. 50m complete as per direction of Engineer-In-Charge

Cleaning of reinforcement from rust from the reinforcing bars of dia up to 12mm to give it a total rust free steel surface by using alkaline chemical rust remover of approved make with paint brush and removing loose particles after 24 hours of its application with wire brush and thoroughly washing with water and allowing it to dry, complete all as per direction of Engineer-In-Charge.

M&L for applying one coat of epoxy bonding agent as per manufacturer's instructions to the exposed old concrete surface of columns, beams and similar structural members all as specified and as directed by Engineer-in-Charge. M & L for mixing and applying SBR polymer modified Cement mortar in proportion of 1:3, 50mm average thickness in three layers as per specifications and directions of Engineer-in-charge Note: Payment under this item shall be made only after proper wet curing has been done and surface has been satisfactorily evaluated by sounding / tapping with a blunt metal instrument. Providing and fixing double scaffolding system (cup lock type) on the exterior side, up to seven story height made with 40 mm dia M.S. tube 1.5 m centre to centre, horizontal & vertical tubes joining with cup & lock system with M.S. tubes, M.S. tube challies, M.S. clamps and M.S. staircase system in the scaffolding for working platform etc. and maintaining it in a serviceable condition for the required duration as approved and removing it there after. The scaffolding system shall be stiffened with bracings, runners, connection with the building etc wherever required for inspection of work at required locations with essential safety features for the workmen etc. complete as per directions and approval of Engineer-in-charge .The elevational area of the scaffolding shall be measured for payment purpose .The payment will be made once irrespective of duration of scaffolding.

M&L for mild steel work in hand rails, half round/ tubular or other stock section, drilled and countersunk for balusters running bars, balusters, including all necessary welding, drilling, bolting or riveting, etc., and similar work conforming to Fe-290 Gde E-165 all as specified

M&L for preparation of new or previously untreated surface of steel of any description, n. exc 10cm width or girth when unconnected with other painting or when painted in a different tint and applying two coats of synthetic enamel paint over a coat of red oxide zinc chrome primer.

M&L for preparation of new plastered surfaces of walls and applying two coats of weather proof exterior emulsion over a coat of exterior primer complete all as specified.

M&L for complete removal of existing treatment on external surfaces of walls and applying two coats of weather proof exterior emulsion over a coat of exterior primer complete all as specified.

M&L for carrying out repairs to existing galvalume sheet roofing by providing additional self drill screws wherever required, filling all the screws and holes if any with suitable sealing compound complete to arrest all the leakages complete up to 21m height including necessary scaffolding & safety arrangements all as directed by the Engineer-in-Charge. [Note: The work is to be carried out on inaccessible sheet roofing. Cost of necessary scaffolding/ ladder arrangement shall be deemed to be included in the rate quoted]

M & L for Cleaning the inner concrete surface of the overhead water tank (at about 21m height) using chisel and wire brush, remove all dirt, dust, loose particles by using air blower, identify the honeycomb and deteriorated areas if any which are to be patch repaired. Patch repairing all such areas by using SBR polymer (food grade) modified Cement mortar in proportion of 1:3, 15mm average thickness. followed by providing and applying two coats of food grade high performance elastomeric cementious water proofing coating. [Make of water proofing coat: 'Brushbond RFX' components (i.e. mixture of powder 15 kg + Nitobond BBX 4.8 litres + clean fresh water 3 litres) manufactured by M/s Fosroc Chemicals India (P) Ltd. / equivalent in 'Dr Fixit'/ 'Harjas Coatings & Polymers'/ 'Krishna Conchem Products (P) Ltd' & Make of polymer modifier: 'Nitobond SBR' of make: 'Fosroc' or equivalent in 'Dr Fixit'/ 'Harjas Coatings & Polymers'/ 'Krishna Conchem Products (P) Ltd']

Demolition of cement concrete in ground floors and pavings n.exc. 15cm thick (below or above GL)

Providing and laying cement concrete 1:2:4 type B1 (Using 20mm graded coarse aggregate) in pavements/ ramps in panels not exceeding 10sqm per panel and plinth protection in panels not exceeding 3sqm per panel including providing necessary formwork, making 10mm wide grooves in panels for depth of ⅓rd thickness of pavement or 40mm whichever is more and filling the grooves with approved hot poured sealing compound conforming to grade A or B of IS-1834, complete finishing the surfaces even and smooth without using extra cement all as specified.
