POLISHING OF FURNITURE IN REPAIR - Material and Labour for Polishing of Wooden Furniture: Material and Labour for polish on wooden articles of furniture, including the preparation of the surface by the following procedure: Thoroughly scratching the entire wooden surface using an electric grinder. Filling of all bore holes and surface imperfections using suitable wood putty. Smoothing of the surface by sanding with emery/sandpaper of varying grit sizes to achieve an even and smooth finish. Cleaning the surface completely and ensuring it is super smooth prior to application. Applying one base coat of yellow or red soil-based polish. Final polishing of one of the type given below is done in either matte or glossy finish, as specified and directed by the Engineer in Charge.
