B/R works
Material & labour for rolling and consolidating formation surface in cutting/filling to required camber using 8 to 15 Tonne earth compactor (power/roller) to 98% of Modified proctor density at optimum moisture content (OMC) complete all as specified and directed.
M & L for laying and compacting 250 mm thick (compacted thickness) Granular Sub Base Course (GSB) grading as per Grade II as per Table 400-1 of MoRTH specifications for Road and Bridge works, 2013, laid in two layers over compacted subgrade with natural sand, crushed gravel, crushed stone, crushed slag, or combination thereof as per the grading required. The materials shall be mechanically mixed, spread and levelling on the subgrade by using motor grader of adequate capacity, and rolling with vibratory roller of capacity 80-100 KN static weight for achieving required compaction density of atleast 98% of the Maximum Dry Density and Consolidating to required gradient and camber with finished surface tolerances as per Table 900-1 of MoRTH specifications for Road and Bridge works, 2013 complete all as specified and directed.
M & L for laying and compacting 200mm thick (compacted thickness) Wet Mix Macadam (WMM) laid in two layers of 100 mm each WMM grading as per table 400-13 of MoRTH specifications for Road and Bridge works 2013 manufactured in WMM plant, material comprising of clean, crushed, graded aggregate and granular material premixed with water to a dense mass, spreading with sensor paver and rolling with vibratory roller of capacity 80-100KN static weight and consolidating to required gradient and camber with the finished surface tolerance to be as per Table 900-1 of MoRTH specifications for Road and Bridge works 2013 complete all as specified and directed.
M & L for providing and laying Dry Lean Concrete (DLC) 150 mm thick of aggregate gradation as per Table 1 of SP 49:2014 having 7 day average compressive strength not less than 7 MPa. Minimum cement content not less than 140 Kg/Cum DLC mixed in Batching Plant, transported to site and laid by electronic sensor paver including spreading and compacting using high amplitude tamping bars of paver (initial compaction) further by double drum smooth wheeled vibratory rollers with 80-100 KN static weight to achieve minimum dry density not less than 98% of maximum Dry Density, necessary finishing etc and tolerance to be as per Table 900-1 of MoRTH specifications for Road and Bridge work 2013 complete all as specified and directed.
Note for item No.15 (i) No plus price adustment shall be made to the quoted rate for excess quantity of cement used beyond 140 Kg/Cum. (ii) Longitudinal and transverse construction joints shall be provide as per MORTH specification. The quoted rate shall be inclusive of cutting longitudinal or transverse construction joints including providing this upto full depth in DLC.
Supplying and laying 400 micron thick HDPE sheet (Virgin Quality) water proof, wrinkle free without puncture having minimum weight 390 gm/Sqm over sand cushion as specified in the design with overlap between adjacent strips as minimum 100mm and at transverse joints at ends as minimum 300mm complete all as specified and directed. Note : (i) The rate quoted above shall include overlaps and no additional amount to be paid for overlap (ii) Sand layer shall be measured and paid seperately
Material and Labour for 10 mm thick sand cushion with clean river sand dust clear of residual, organic and deleterious materials spread evenly to uniform thickness layer over DLC Layer. The sand cushion must not contain stones/other hard or uneven material organic matter complete all as specified and directed.
M & L for 300mm thick pavement quality concrete (PQC) of minimum 28 days field flexural strength of 45Kg/Sqcm or 4.5MPa, aggregate gradation as per Table 3 of IRC 15-2017, coarse aggregate of clean, hard strong, dense, non-porous and durable pieces of crushed stone or gravel, fine aggregates of clean natural sand or crushed stone sand or combination of both using minimum 360 kg/cum of cement with non-circular, virgin synthetic fibre of 12-18 mm length specific gravity 1.34 to 1.39, UV stable, alkali resistant, with equivalent dia 15-40 micron, minimum melting temperature as 240°C and minimum tensile strength of 300 MPa and at the rate as specified by the manufacturer. PQC laid, spread and compacted with fixed form paver including necessary formwork of minimum 7.50 m width, including curing and tining by Texturing cum Curing machine . Required surface texturing to be done as specified in clause 10.1.14 and Table 9 of IRC 15-2017 complete all as specified and directed.
Notes for item No. 18 :- (i) The admixture as per approved design mix shall be added and mixed.The cost of admixture required shall deemed to be included in the quoted rate. (ii) The Cost of polyester triangular non circular synthetic fibres as secondary reinforcement added and mixed in concrete shall deemed to be included in the quoted rates.(Minimum qty shall be 0.25% weight of cement, No extra payment shall be made in case of extra qty used ) (iii) Construction joints, dummy joints (contraction joints) and expansion joints shall be measured and paid separately under respective items. (iv) Deduction shall be made in PQC of quantity for expansion joints. (v) Trimming of vertical edges of construction joint (longitudinal and transverse) shall be carried out using sawing machine to maintain straight edge before laying of adjacent/ subsequent lane. The quoted rates shall be deemed to be inclusive of this provision and nothing extra shall be paid on this account. (vi) For the purpose of pricing this item, the cement content shall be considered as 360 kg/cum. However actual cement content shall be worked out as per design mix and nothing extra shall be paid on this account and extra cement used beyoned 360kg/cum. In case less cement is used minus DO at supply only rate of cement @ Rs 7.00 per kg shall be deducted. (vii) Curing compound shall be applied at the paving stage after broom finish and surface is dry, and rate for spray of curing compound as per manufacturer instruction. The cost of curing compound and its application shall be deemed to be included in the quoted rate. (viii) The quoted rate shall be inclusive of use and waste of formwork for total thickness.
M & L for forming of dummy/contraction joint with an initial saw cut of 3 mm soon after the concrete has set, upto a depth of 1/3rd to 1/4th the thickness of the slab, widening the first saw cut to 6mm and 24mm deep by using diamond bit cutter of appropriate size, straight and smooth edges. Joint cleaned thoroughly with application compressed air. Joint shall be made dry, vacuum cleaned and free of dirt, oil, vegetation and other debris. Application of two coats of primer with thin brush by forward and backward movement at an interval of 30 minutes before placing the backup rod and pouring the sealant. Placing of closed cell medium density, crossed linked polyethylene foam backup rod of 8 mm dia, application of bond braker tape on top of backup rod for complete width of the joint and filled with polyurethane based sealant complying with BS5212, Bs-4254 and EN-141875-2003 with minimum movement accommodation factor (MAF) of +/- 30% having minimum 10 year performance guarantee, applying masked tape on the edges of joints and removing the masking tape after filling of sealant as per the method specified by the manufacturer complete all as specified and directed. Note:- (i) Primer to be used before filling sealant (ii) Edges shall be levelled and joints cut within 24 hours using diamond bit cutters of Bosch or equivalent used for cutting green concrete.
M & L for forming 25 mm width Expansion joint in concrete slab for full depth of PQC. Early entry saw and subsequent cutting by using diamond bit cutter of appropriate size, straight and smooth edges. Joint cleaned thoroughly with application compressed air. Joint shall be made dry, vacuum cleaned and free of dirt, oil, vegetation and other debris. The joint then filled with pre-molded 25 mm thick compressible polyethylene closed cell type filler board as specified, thereafter application of two coats of primer with thin brush by forward and backward movement at an interval of 30 minutes before placing the backup rod and pouring the sealant. Placing of closed cell medium density, crossed linked polyethylene foam backup rod of 30 mm dia, over filler board and filled with polyurethane based sealant complying with BS5212, Bs-4254 and EN-141875-2003 with minimum movement accommodation factor (MAF) of +/- 30% having minimum 10 year performance guarantee, applying masked tape on the edges of joints and removing the masking tape after filling of sealant as per the method specified by the manufacturer complete all as specified and directed. Notes:- (i) Rounding of edge shall be done with hand grinder upto 5-6 mm dia. (ii) While cutting expansion joint, cutting machine should have facilities of arrangement of dual blade spaced at expansion joint width such that joint can be formed at a time.

Notes:- (i) Primer to be used before filling sealant (ii) Edges shall be levelled and joints cut within 24 hours using diamond bit cutters of Bosch or equivalent used for cutting green concrete. (iii) The vertical edges or sides of concrete of construction joint shall be treated with a coat of lime wash or bituminous paint before concreting the adjacent bay.
Material and Labour for applying three coats of lime finish to sides of concrete for separation of concrete panels complete all as specified.
Material and Labour for painting lines, dashes, arrows, letters, etc. on roads/pavement and the like exc 10 cm wide with road marking paint, white or golden yellow complete all as specified and directed.
