TECHNICAL SPECIFICATION
Name of Work ;- Repair work of Wear & Tear of C.C Surface by high performance, fast setting and
curing free Geo polymer mortar and Repair of Patch and Pothole repair by high
performance, fast setting and curing free geo polymer concrete at Different
Road of Different ward of Central Zone (ARC)
SURFACE PREPARATION
Surfaces must be chipped and remove to a minimum thickness of 100mm or more. and the edges
need to be cut to a Rectangle or geometrical shape using concrete cutting tools and break hammer.
Edges shall be prepared steep to 100mm using concrete cutting tools. Surface must be staple, dry,
sound, clean and free from loose particles or contamination to ensure proper bonding. Repair deep
areas, holes and non-moving cracks of with mortar prior to application of Geo polymer Concrete.
MIXING GUILDLINES
Geopolymer Material can be mixed in all types of conventional concrete mixers with a water
powder ratio of 0.1 to 0.12 which will have a flowable consistency. Do not add more water as
increasing the water content more than specified will drastically affect the final properties of the
product. Keep mixing for about 2 to 3 minutes. At this point pour the mortar mix in the repair area.
The Mortar mix has to be placed for a minimum thickness of 100 mm or more and to be levelled
using appropriate tools. Remember to wash off all the tools immediately after application.
1. Sprinkle water on the prepared surface till SSD (saturated surface-dry) condition prior laying
Geopolymer Concrete.
2. Pour the Geo polymer Concrete mortar on the surface and spread it evenly to the required
3. Maintain the minimum thickness of 100 mm or more.
4. Use the finish Trowel to bring the surface finish. Allow the material to set for min 2 hours and do
not disturb the same during setting.
5. Don't add water to the mix if it starts hardening. Discard the unusable material.
6. Ensure the placed mortar is protected from rain and moving vehicles for minimum 2 hours.
7. Allow the surface for usage after 2 hours.
8. No curing is required.
