Construction of Link road to village Ser Jagas road Km 0/000 to 5/000 in District Shimla (HP) Under PMGSY-IV Batch-I. Package No. HP-10-306.

Excavation in soil in hilly area in all heights and depths in all kinds of soil including saturated soil comprising of mixed soil, ordinary rock and hard rock. All work of rock cutting by blasting shall be carried out by taking all necesary precautions against soil erosion, damages to hill side,water pollution etc. and to protect stability of hill side .Rock shall be excavated with chiseling and wedging out of rock (where blasting is prohibited) .All earth work in cutting/excavation including rock excavation shall be carried out true to lines ,grades,sides slopes,width,camber,super-elevation and level as shown on the drawing and as directed by the Engineer-in-Charge in conformity with the requirement of MoRD technical specification for Rural Road, Section. 300 & 1600 to achive designed formation width including hauling and stacking of materials useful for constrcution at suitable sites safe manner and disposal of all surplus material to the approved dumping sites through all modes of transportation including head load and animal transport and mechanical means along with its levelling, fine dressing and carriage of machineries, tools, equipments and safety measures and other incidentals necessary to complete the work by mechanical means and labour if required. During the mobilisation period, contractor should take the advanced x-sec in 15 m interval of whole road length in the presence of Engineer-in-charge or his representative. In case the advanced x-sec has been taken in the presence of Engineer-in-Charge representative, in that case the same has to be got approved from Engineer-in-Charge. The land for dumping sites shall be arranged by the contractors himself and nothing extra shall be paid on this account,filling of unevenness blind age and finishing of the road to specified dimensions or as directed by the Engineer-in-charge for smooth riding.The recovery for stones ,whether useful or 2624.05 (Two thousand Six hundred Twenty Four point Zero Five) cubic metre at the rate of Rs 300/-only (Rupees three hundred only ) per cubic meter shall be effected on prorata basis in all circumstances .Any loss to the public and private property during the course of excavation shall be the absolute responsibility of the contractor ,which shall have to be duly compensated by him in all cases.

Earth work in excavation for all type of road structure such as retaining walls, breast walls, culverts, drain and Parapets etcetra in all type of classification of soil comprising of ordinary soil, ordinary rock, hard rock chiseling /wedging out rocks (Where blasting is prohibited) as per drawings and M.O.R.D. technical specification section 300 and 1600 and as per direction of the Engineer- In – Charge including setting out, construction of shoring and bracing, removal of stumps and other deleterious materials and disposal of materials upto any lead and lift including dressing of sides, bottom and back filling in trenches with excavated suitable approved material to the original surface in layer not executing 150 mm (one hundred fifty millimetre) compacted thickness including shoring and strutting and pumping and bailing out water (surface and sub soil water ) upto any depth any quantam of water including cleaning of slush which may arise out during dewatering complete as per direction of Engineer-in-Charge. Construction of 1st layer Bio enzyme (100 mm) based soil stablised layer (accredited by IRC) to a required thickness as per manufacturer design with local soil material/gravel/murram, having CBR greater than Equal to 5% and treating it with Bio Enzyme in the ratio 1L for 12.5 cum soil , spreading in uniform layer with motor grader on prepared surface. mixing by mix in place method with rotavator at OMC and compacting with smooth wheel roller to achieve the desired density complete as per technical specification incl all labour, materials, like soil and metal, equipments etc., complete, including Supervision (Supervisor shall be provided by Bio Enzyme Vendor) as per the directions of the Engineer incharge of the work . Bio Enzyme Supervisor accomodation, food and local transport will be in scope of Contractor.The soil will have clay percentage by hydrometry between 8% to 30%, including carriage of material within all leads, lifts and other incidentals. Providing and applying tack coat with Bitumen emulsion (RS-I) on the prepared bituminious surface cleaned with hydraulic broom and spraying with bitumen emulsion pressure distributor at the rate 0.250 Kg (Zero decimal two five zero kilogram) per Square metre using one part of bitumen tack emulsion RS-I and two parts of water mixed with Nano technology nanotac @ 1.4% (One decimal four percent) of weight of emulsion as per MORD technical specification section 500, and as per direction of Engineer-in-Charge, including carriage of materials within all leads, lifts and other incidentals. Providing, laying and rolling of close-graded Mix Seal Surfacing surfacing material of 20 mm thickness composed of 11.2 mm to 0.09 mm (Type-A) @ 0.338 kg/per ten square meter aggregates using penetration grade bitumen @ ie binders content @27.50kg/10sqm or 5.11% by weight and minimun density of MSS should be 2.10 gm/cc to required line, grade and level to serve as wearing course on a previously prepared base, including mixing in a suitable plant, laying and rolling with a three wheel 8-10 kN static roller and finishing to required level and grades as per M.O.R.D. technical specifications section 500 including all leads, lifts and carriage of materials complete as per entire saisfication of the Engineer in Charge.

Construction of plastic cell filled cement concrete pavement, thickness as per design, over a prepared sub base, with 53 grade Ordinary Portland Cement (OPC) or any other type as per Clause 1501.2.4 M30 (Grade). Coarse and fine aggregates conforming to IS : 2386, maximum in a concrete mixer of not less then 0.2 cum capacity and appropeiate weigh batcher using approved mix design(As per IRC 44-2088, laid in approved fixed side formwork (Steel channel, wedges, Steel plates including levelling the fomwork as per drawing), spreading the concrete with sholvels, rakes, conpacted using needle, screed an plate vibrators and finished in continuous operation, Concrete should have a slump of 30-50MM with use of approved plasticizer if required. Formwork of plastic cells should be made of High Density Polyethylene (HDPE), sheets having thickness ranging from 0.20-0.22MM with sides 150MMx150MM and height as fixed by engineer in charge. Cells should be stitched using thread, thus ensuring optimum joint strength. Joint strength should be a minimum of 2 Kilo Newton per metre. Heat welded cells should not be procured as they are not able to withstand the tension and often break when they are laid in the full width of the carriageway. Iron spikes of about 200MM long are to be used to keep the cell walls taut. Nylon thread or rope may be used to prevent collase of cells during placement of concrete. Iron spikes to be taken out for use in other place as soon as the concrete is in place. The subbase should be provided with concrete/stone block or brick on edge on either side of the carriageway protecting the subbase with full thickness of the concrete pavement for its confinement and protection. Curing of concrete slabs for 14 - days, curing compound ( where specified) and water finishing to lines and grade as per drawing and Technical Specification of cell filled Concrete Pavement Published by NRRDA.

Construction of unlined surface drains of average cross-sectional area 0.40 sqm (zero decimal four zero per square metre) in soil to specified lines, grades, levels and dimensions. Excavated material to be used in embankment as per Technical Specification Clause 307 and as directed by the Engineer-In-charge including carriage of material within all leads, lifts and other incidentals. The angle iron frame of the lower most plate and flat iron frame of middle plate will be welded to 2 nos. 75mm x 75 mm of 12 SWG sheet tubes posts duly embedded in cement concrete M-15 grade blocks of 450mm x 450mm x 600mm, 600mm below ground level. All M.S. will be stove enameled on both sides. Lettering and printing arrows, border etc. will be painted with ready mixed synthetic enamel paint of superior quality in required shade and colour. Providing and Fixing pavement marker (Cat eyes) made out of ABS 3 M (three) plastic of size 128x110x29.5 mm ( one hundred twenty eight into one hundred ten into twenty nine decimal five millimetres) without nail having 50mm ( fifty millimetres) stem of ABS. The pavement marker shall be installed with epoxy ABS including carriage of materials and equipment with all mode of transportation and as per direction of MORD Specification section 1700 & Engineer-in-charge.The rate is including octroi, royality, Malkana, toll tax or any other taxes imposed by the Government but excluding GST.
