Chipping and cleaning the surfaces which are to receive the coating or treatment, must be free from oil, laitance, grease, wax, dirt or any other form of foreign material adhering on it before the waterproofing job started. The surface should be dust free, including removing of existing treatment/ old felt / loose plaster / concrete etc. and repair the joints or pointing with polymer mortar by adding bonding agent (SBR) with cement as complete all as specified & directed.

M&L for water proofing treatment in Pool by applying in 2.00mm of thik layers of Fosroc Nitocote CM210 two-component polymer modified cementitious elastomeric coating system all as per manufactures instructions complete all as specified and directed by Engineer-in-Charge. Make : Fosroc/Cico/Penetron or equivalent make as approved by GE. Note 1. The first coat should be applied at a minimum wet film thickness of 1.00 mm (approximate coverage is 1.9 kg/m2) after dust free and moist the surface. Laying second layer of Fiber glass cloth of 45 GSM when the first layer is still green. Overlaps of joints of fiber cloth should not be less than 10 cm. Applying final coat should also be applied at a minimum wet film thickness of 1.00 mm and finished in one direction. Pre-dampening of the surface is not necessary when applying the second coat. The coating should start after preparing carefully the complete coving and junctions’ water tight. “All above operations to be done in order and as per directions of Engr-in-Charge, Nitocote CM210 Resistance to positive water pressure : 5 bar (50m head of water) and Resistance to negative water pressure : 2 bar (20m head of water). Note 2. At least 20mm of protective plaster recommended prior to fixing tiles on proposed system as a protection. Cost of 20mm thick plaster shall be measured and paid separately.

Note 3. Water proofing treatment shall be applied by companies authoriezed aplicator only. Note 4. Contractor have to get prior approval of applicator or authorized agency by submitting its authorization letter prior to commencement of work. Note 5. Contractor has to submit 10 years guaranttee certificate for water proofing treatment after complition of work. Note 6. The cost of sceaffolding work requried at certain places is included in respective items catered for repair, No extra cost shall be paid for the same.

Supply only Pool tiles of size 247mm x 122mm of 8mm thick comply with the international ASA & FINA standards of designs New Blue, Orient Blue, Black , Dark Blue as in flooring & walls of swimming pool jointed and pointed in suitable adhesive complete all as specified and directed by Engineer-in-Charge. Make : Johnson Endura or equivalent make as approved by GE from the makes specified under Appx C. (Note :- Cost of adhesive shall be measured & paid separately)

Note on Item No. 37 above (Pool tiles) : Laying 247mm x 122mm - 8 mm thick Premium (1st) quality vitrified body endura pool tiles, rectangular in shape with suitable for barefoot usage in wet area and tile should comply with the international ASA & FINA standards. The glaze of the tile should be of feather and sheen finish. Tile should have coated round edges and should be fired/baked at very high temperatures and all glaze of tiles should have water absorption < 0.5% and body of tile should have water absorption < 2.5% as per test method 10545-2, Minimum Modulus of Rapture 18N/mm2 as per test method 10545-3, Scratch Hardness minimum 5 as per test method EN-101, Linier Thermal expansion < 9x10-6K-1 and should also be resistant to swimming pool water cleaning agents as per test method ISO 10545-13. Area of each tile exceeding 0.025 sqm but not exceeding 0.035 sqmtr in floors/walls etc., fixed on a minimum 6mm thick bed of tile adhesive of make ardex endura diamond star or equivalent of spectrum by leaving 3mm space/grove around all four sides of each tile with the help of 3mm wide pvc spacer and pointed the same with approved colored epoxy grout of make ardex endure or spectrum and complete the job as specified and directly by Engineer-in-charge. Make:- H & R Johnson India or equivalent as approved by GE.

Laying and application of pool tiles of approved make in all defined colors and shades in swimming pool’s floor and walls laid on 6mm thick base of Fosroc Nitotile MPA Grey/White a high performance, polymer modified multipurpose adhesive @ Approx 7 kgs/Sqm @ 6mm thickness using 6mm x 6mm square notch trowel including grouting the joints with approved grouts mixed with matching pigments etc. Tile adhesive shall satisfy the required Tensile Adhesion Strength in Dry condition: >1.5 N/mm2 and in Wet Condition: >1.0 N/mm2. Nitotile MPA should be mixed with clear potable water in the ratio 0.26 to 0.30 with slow speed drill fitted with a mixing paddle is recommended for mixing as per manufacturer or as complete all as specified & directed. (Note: Cost of Tiles shall be measured and paid separately)

M&L for 10mm thick Backing Coat in CM (1:3) complete all as specified and directed.

M&L for 10mm thick cement plaster in CM (1:6) internal finished even & smooth complete all as specified and directed.
