RISING MAIN Excavation in foundation and trenches etc. ( for pipe and pits) up to all depths and in all kinds of soils such as pick work, pick jumper work, saturated soil including bailing or pumping out of water, blasting in soft/ hard rock, chiseling/wedging out of rock where blasting is prohibited, in all leads and lifts including trimming and dressing of sides, leveling of beds to correct grade including shoring, strutting, planking timbering , stacking usable and unusable materials/ soils separately and after laying, jointing and testing of pipes, returning the usable soils in 15 cm layers by ramming and watering and then disposing of all surplus excavated soil / unusable materials as directed within all leads and lifts including restoration of un-metalled surfaces to its original condition and including cost of diversion of traffic, night signal boards, fixing caution boards, crossing over trenches for access to houses, fencing etc. complete in all respects within all leads and lifts as per the direction of the Engineer-in-charge. Laying jointing in trenches and testing ( to be leveled to grade) GMS pipe 150 mm dia medium class jointed with 5% of total joints flanged conformimg to IS: 1239-1990 (lates upto date amendements) and remaining joints provided with circumferential butt welded joints and welding of flanges with pipes as per IS: 816-1969 with electrod as per IS: 814-2004 including required number and size of nuts and bolts as per 1369-1967 and compressed asbestos fiber jointing gaskets not less than 3mm in thickness as per IS: 2712-1998. The welding of flanges to be done on both faces in two layers on outer face & one layer on inner face to make the joints leak proof and to the entire satisfaction of the Engineer-in-charge. The laying of pipe shall confirm to IS: 5822-1994 and as per CPHEEO manual. The laying will include all operations such as cutting welding and jointing including flushing cleaning and hydroulic testing complete in all respect to the entire satisfaction of the Engineer-in-charge including entire carriage of materials. Pipe will be measured for straight length only. (Earth work in trenches, MS flanges and butt welding joints to be measured and paid for spearartely).

PUMPING MACHINERY BOOSTER STAGE Providing & Installation of submersible pumping set of KSB/Kirloskar/ Calma/ Johnsion/ Oswal make comprising to latest relevant code. The pump should be fitted with bronze impellers of suitable alloys as per IS 8034-1976 latest suitable for clear water having greased packed bearings and shaft with wound stator on motor side with soft protection sleev on pump side ensuring better life for shaft of steel grade EN-8 coupled to a submersible squirrel cage electric induction motor (water proof type of required HP,RPM 2900 of standard make such as Kirloskar/Crompton/ BHEL confirming to BIS 9238-1979 latest with up to date amendments , totally dust and water proof for submersible duty isolated from the pump by intermediate casing with double mechanical seal in oil chamber and grease packed lubricated bearings and provided with stainless steel thrust bearing plate to with stand non vertical loads with minimum wear and tear. It also should be fitted with a device to take up the expansion of water with heating of motor . Providing and fixing of MCB of Havell/MDS/ Kilburn Jyoti make of suitable capacity on incoming feeder with initial oil filling as per IS: 2516-1985 latest with up to date amendments with neutral linked under voltage release.

Providing and laying copper PVC insulated armoured power 3.5 core cable ( one cable carrying all the three phases) of suitable size and capacity to and all other electrical equipments as per IS: 1554 (P-I)1988 or latest with upto date amendments of Siemens/ IEC/ICC/ make from metre of HPSEB to MCB and from MCB to bus bar switch and starter including all other accessories such as thimbles, flexible, pipes solder, nuts and bolts, cable glands etc. laid in pipes or trenches under floor. The type, size and make will be subject to approval of HPSEB authorities & in case of non acceptance by HPSEB authorities same shall be replaced by the bidder.

Providing and Laying double loop earthing with GI wire & GI plate complete with material such as thimbles, nuts and bolts, charcoal and common salt, 25mmx3mm copper strips, digging of pits & G.I. wire as per IS: 3043-1987 with up to date amendments for motors and other electrical equipments and digging of pits etc. complete in all respect.

Providing and fixing 100 mm dia. circular dial pressure gauge of Fiebig make complete with all accessories such as stop cock, copper tubing etc. as per IS: 3624-1987 with up to date amendments range 0-16 Kg/cm2

Providing and laying delivery pipe 125 mm dia and common header 150 mm dia GMS tubes Medium class as per IS 1239- 1990 jointed with MS flanges of table 5 as per IS 6392-1971 up to a length of 20 metres including rappers, flanges, rubber gaskets, nuts and bolts bends ,tees reducers/ increasers with companion flanges matching with the relevant specifications up to 5 metre away from the outer wall of pump houses. The pipes shall be as per relevant IS Code and to withstand 1.5 times total head stipulated under item No.1.

Providing and fixing of floor/ wall mounted power factor shunt capacitor of L&T/Bajaj/Assian/Crompton make as per IS:2834-1986 with up to date amendments to raise the power factor at site to 0.95 for direct connections to induction motor individually of required KVAR rating according to HP offered including cables as per relevant ISI code of Siemens/Gloster/IEC make) from bus bar chamber to capacitor and also including ICTP switches of appropriate range as per IS: 4064-1978 with upto date amendments .
