| 1 | Labour only including use of T&P for Preparing of old black top surface with brushing for removing caked mud etc. Sweeping with brooms/Compressor Air and finally fanning the cleaned surface with gunny bags to remove all loose dirt etc filled of voids with specially designed paste and applying Polymer Modified Emulsion (PME - RW) -Rejuvenator mopping of total cold liquid undiluted PME (quantity as per trial batch) in two coats with minerals (1/8 Part of PME by weight) as recommended by manufacturer of PME (after diluting with water) ,each coat diluted in the ratio (1:1) (PME:Water) and ensure uniform finish of runway complete all as per manufactures instruction and all as specified and as directed by Engineer-in-Charge.
Notes : The tenderer shall take into consideration for the following points while quoting his rate for this item :-
(a) Only net weight of PME will be Measured and Paid separately under Item No 2 as 'Supply only'.
(b) Quoted rate for this item shall include for all other materials components, T&P , Labour and Mineral filler as directed required for execution of work. (quantity of minerals will be 1/8 part of PME by weight and no deviation shall be allowed for the same. Quoted rates are deemed to be included for the same)" | 6,230 | 10 Sqm | -10.75 | - |
| 1.01 | (c) Applicator: The work shall be carried out through authorized and qualified applicator of the manufacturer only. In Case of non-availability of applicators, the approval will be obtained from E-in-C's Branch. Make of PME Shall be any Make approved by E-in-C's Branch.
(d) Mechanical Spraying: Application of PME -PME should be carried out mechanically to ensure homogenous mixture of PME and mineral filler and uniform application.
(e) Warranty: Two years warranty of materials performance and application performance to be obtained from authorized manufacturer of PME. Warranty will include the fact that structure remain water tight and no further cracks will be formed,excluding damaged caused by natural calamities. A performance certificate for two years shall be submitted by contractor to AGE (I) on completion of work as specified.
(f) Time Schedule: The commencement and completion of work shall be within the period as per site availability and users directives and the Contractor shall adhere strictly to the time lines by complying for all emergency requirements as per direction of users and complete the work satisfactorily in all respects within the specified period.
(g) Covering old Runway Marking: To cover/prevent the old Runway Marking while applying PME Application.
(h) Trial Patch:3 nos of trial patches, as directed by AGE (I) will be undertaken before commencement of treatment and cost for the same deemed to be included in rates quoted for above item, in different compositions to decide the composition to be executed on runway on approval of trial patch (Based on friction value tests and non forming of addition layers). On approval of trial patch the by AGE (I) , Contractor shall immediately procure the total qty of material required as per trial patch consumption as directed by AGE (I) and also submit PVs and test reports before commencement of work.
(j) Penetration value and Setting Time: PME must have penetration value 10-20 mm and Initial setting time four to five hours but not more than eight hours. | - | - | - | - |
| 1.02 | (h) Friction Test: Contractor will make necessary arrangement for procurement of Portable Skid Resistance tester (PSRT) and carry out testing and maintaning necessary friction parameter (in addition of Friction test under Item No 8) as directed without any extra cost to the department. Friction parameter shall be between 0.35 to 0.60 after application of PME.
(j) Filling Cracks: Care shall be taken to fill gaps/cracks upto 5mm size with mineral filer as per manufacture instructions.

| 4 | M&L Removal of Rubber deposits from runway surface using Water blasting cum vacuuming system with suitable operating pressure so that the total rubber deposits are removed from runway both (rigid and flexible) surfaces by the method of water blasting cum vacuuming system with suitable water pressure without use of any chemical & no damage to the existing surface.
NOTES
(i) The work shall be carried out through authorized & qualified applicator
(ii) Total rubber deposit should be removed and the Debris / Water to be vacuumed simultaneously leaving No FOD so that the Runway is available for operation immediately.
(iii) The Machine make to be deployed for Runway Rubber Removal should have E-In-C approval eg SH8000, SH5000, Sk3000.
(iv) Rubber deposit Debris should be in solid form when finally disposed.
(v) In any emergency condition the machine should exit from the runway in less than 2 mins without leaving FOD.
(vi) Friction Test should be carried out before & after Rubber deposit removal operation.
(viii) After carrying out rubber removal operation on the runway, the friction reading of the rubber removed segment should be minimum 0.55 µ. ( Friction test shall be measured and paid seprately under item No 8)
(ix) Work shall br carrie out as recommended in ICAO airport service manual and as per Guidance on Assessment and Measurement of Runway Surface Friction Characteristics at Aerodromes :AD AC NO. 1 of 2019 and detail instruction issued by DGCA time to time, complete all as specified and directed by Engineer In Charge | 9,000 | Sqm | -5.75 | - |
| 5 | Removal of conflict paint, markings on apron & runway surface using Water blasting cum vacuuming system with suitable operating pressure so that the total rubber deposits are removed from runway both (rigid and flexible) surfaces by the method of water blasting cum vacuuming system with suitable water pressure water blasting technology without damaging to the existing surface using SH5000 Stripe Hog machine complete ll as specified and as directed by Engineer-in-Charge.
Note ; (a) The surface of both concrete / bitumen (rigid/flexible) shall not get any damages during the process of paint removal nor to any adjoining area, joint filling etc Damages made if any shall be made good by the contractor without any extra cost complete all as directed and specified.
Note :- If any damage occurred to the adjacent surface will be repaired by the contractor without paying any extra charges.
(b) Work will be carried out in phase manner as per availability of runway for maintenance.
(c) Total paint should be removed and the Debris / Water to be vacuumed simultaneously leaving no FOD so that the Runway is available for operation immediately.
(d) The Machine make to be deployed for Runway paint Removal should have E-In-C approval eg SH8000, SH5000.

(b) After carrying out rubber removal operation on the runway, friction reading of the rubber removed segment should be minimum 0.55 µ.
