REPAIR AND MAINTENANCE OF EXTERNAL WATER SUPPLY DISTRIBUTION LINES AT INS GARUDA AND NAVAL BASE EXCEPT NAY KOCHI

Attending any type of leakage/shortage/overflow in water supply distribution lines laid at various locations inside Naval Base area for detection of nature of defect including carry out minor repairs to make the distribution line functional complete all as specified and directed by the Engr-in-Charge.

Notes :- (a) The unit rate quoted shall be deemed to be included the elements of labour only for arresting the leakage and making the supply line functional for minor repair such as releasing air locks, clearing float valve blockages and checking any closed valves along with the supply, putting an end cap, etc. If replacements of pipe/items is required to make the supply line functional, the cost of labour and material for the same shall be measured and paid as "Supply & fix/Material & labour in repairs" under relevant items of this schedule here in after. (b) If leakage/shortage shall not be attended & rectified in the same day as received by the contractor except major break down, the recovery will be made @ Rs 500/- per breakdown per day and after 15 days of non functional of any distribution line, as specified for any reason, the recovery will be made @ 2000/- per day till the distribution line functional

Excavation in trenches not exe. 1.5 M in depth and not exe 1.5 M in width including getting out for laying pipes etc including forming bottom surface to required level in soft/loose soil complete all as specified and directed

Returning, refilling including spreading levelling watering and well ramming in layers not exce. 25 cm thick complete all as specified and directed

Removing the surplus soil to a distance not exe. 50 M and depositing where directed at a level not exe. 1.5 M from the starting point complete all as specified and directed

Supply and laying in repairs in trenches 100 mm inner dia of CPVC pipes with CPVC Sch 40 pipes & plain Sch 80 fittings and jointed with CPVC primer & solvent cement including taking down old unserviceable PVC/PP-R/ GI Tubing, complete all as specified and directed.

All as per item No 5 here-in-before but of size 80 mm inner dia complete all as specified and directed

Supply and fix in repairs in trenches high pressure CPVC pipes SDR-13.5 & plain CPVC SDR 11 fittings including all necessary fittings, solvents of size 50 mm dia including taking down old unserviceable PVC/PP-R/ GI tubing complete all as specified and directed.

All as per item No 7 here-in-before but of size 40 mm dia complete all as specified and directed.

Supply and fix in repairs on wall/concealed on wall high pressure CPVC pipes SDR-13.5 & plain CPVC SDR 11 fittings including all necessary fittings, solvents of size 50 mm dia including taking down old unserviceable PVC/PP-R/ GI tubing complete all as specified and directed.

Supply and fix in repairs Gun metal Gate/Globe valve with iron wheel head, screwed both ends suitable for fixing with CPVC pipe of outer dia 50mm, complete all as specified and as directed by the Engineer-in-charge.

Material and labour for Construction of brick masonry valve pit of size 1.2 x1.2 x 0.9 Mtrs (internal dimensions) including excavation and earth work in any type of soil, PCC 1:2:4 type B-2 in foundation brick work in CM 1:4, 15mm thick plastering in CM 1:4 internally and flush pointing externally in same mortar as the work process angle iron frame work 40X40X6mm, with 6mm thick MS sheet cover with 12 mm dia handle and locking arrangement (including lock and two Keys) and two coats of synthetic enamel paint over a coat of red oxide primer complete all specified and directed by Engr-in-Charge including demolition of old valve pits

Supply and fix in repairs in replacement of 2000 litre capacity Rotational moulded polyethylene water storage tanks( ISI marked) (cylindrical vertical with closed top) hoisted & fixed in position including taking down old one complete all as specified and directed

All as per item No 26 here-in-before but 1000 litre capacity complete all specified and directed.

Supply and fix in repairs 40 mm bore float valve synthetic (PVC) high pressure with polythene ball of suitable size and flynut including taking out old one complete all as specified and directed.

Cutting existing road/hardstand/concrete blocks/slabs/brick work or stone masonry of any type by using crow bar chisel up to a depth of 30 cm for laying GI pipe including making good the surface by returning filling watering ramming in layers cold mix bitumen over 200 mm thick hard core of broken bricks/stones over returning filling watering ramming in layers not exceeding 25 cm thick complete all as specified and directed by Engineer-in-Charge

Material and labour for GI tubing medium grade (ISI marked) with all fitting/accessories for protection of CPVC Pipe under road crossing including necessary fittings etc including taking down old U/S items complete all specified and directed of size 50 mm dia
