CONSULTANCY SERVICES FOR SOIL INVESTIGATION FOR PROVN OF DEFI MARRIED ACCN (PHASE-II) AT AF STN BHISIANA

1. To Carry out the test to ascertain soil profiles/proportion to determine safe bearing capacity complete with field and lab investigation according to relevant specifications of IS-2131, IS-6403, IS-1498 and IS-2720. 2. Conduct of soil investigation for followings:- (a) 150 mm diameter bore holes: Depth 10 m as per IS specification. (i) for soil investigation – 01 No bore hole for each block. (b) Collection of disturbed and undisturbed soil sample at interval of 01.00 mtr depth or at change of strata or as per relevant IS. (c) Conduction lab test on disturbed soil sample as considered necessary according to relevant specification of IS-2720. (i) Sieve analysis & grain size distribution by sieve analysis and hydrometer test, (ii) Atterberg limits, (iii) Natural Moisture content, (iv) Particle size analysis test & (v) Bulk density/dry density. (d) Conduction lab test on undisturbed soil sample as considered necessary according to relevant specification of IS-2720 and detailed result showing all relevant calculations, inferences, indices and parameters shall be given in the soil report. (i) Seive analysis, (ii) Atterberg limits, (iii) Natural Moisture content, (iv) Particle size analysis test, (v) Bulk density/dry density, (vi) Specific gravity, (vii) Free swell index and swelling properties of soil, (viii) Organic material in soil, if any, (ix) Consolidation test (Compressed index value), (x) Triaxial compression test and determination of shear parameters as per relevant IS & (xi) Harmful salts. (e) Ground water table. (i) Max and min levels of ground water in the area with source of information, (ii) Ground water table during the investigation. (f) Provide SBC sy 1.50 m and after every 0.50 m depth and suggest type of foundation & depth of bore according to SBC. Notes: - (i) Submission of six copies of ink signed test report with detailed description of field investigation, soil classification and general nature of soil strata, water table, interpretation of test results, grain size distribution curves, compressive index curves, site plan etc. (ii) The SBC of the soil is required to given, calculation of bearing capacity will be governed generally as per IS 8009 Part-I-1976, IS-2720 (Part-II)-1980, IS-6403-1981, IS-1904-1986 & IS-1080-1985 and other relevant IS Codes and details calculation duly showing the various soil parameters / indices shall be given in the soil report. (iii) With every site’s soil investigation report, a detail site plan showing approx location each bore duly numbered as long as bore hole should enclosed. Location of foundation of adjacent structure especially those that might be impacted by the proposed construction. (iv) Every page of the soil investigation report should have the name of Job for which soil investigation is being carried out, in case of multiple sites of single job are being investigated name of each site shall be put on each pages of report pertaining to the site. (v) Transportation charges including loading and unloading of heavy girder, T&P technician etc complete from lab to work site and back shall be deemed to be included in rates quoted by the bidders. (vi) Photographic record of Geo-explorations as well as testing shall also form part of report. (vii) Provide / suggest the approximate type of foundation and its depth, utilization and dimensions of proposed building to the consultant based on geotechnical investigations, should recommended type of foundation (viz isolated / combined footing, raft, pile etc)
