Schedule-IV- Improvement works (Reconstruction or structural overlay and addition of new facilities)
Excavation in soil in hilly area all heights and depths in all kinds of soil including saturated soil comprising of pick, jumper and blasting work both in soft hard rock with chiseling, wedging out of rock (where blasting is prohibited) and their intermediate classificaiton of soil, setting out to the required line, grades, side slopes, trimming bottoms and level as shown on the drawing as per direction of Engineer-in-Charge at site according to the MORT&H techincal specifications clause 301 and sorting out useful/unuseful materials and stacking the same in all leads and lifts in aquired width of the road and transportation of un-useful materials for filling in roadways camber embankments for grade improvements and disposal of all useful material on approved dumping sites through all modes of transportation and carriage of all labour, machineries materials, tools, equipments and safety measures and incidentals necessary to complete the work by all means (if required). All useful material such as stones, shigles, aggregates and stones shall be sorted and stacked along the road side. Any loss to the public/private property during the course of execution shall be the absolute responsibility of the contractor which shall have to be duly compensated by him in all cases.
Earth work in excavation for structures in all depths as per drawing and technical specification for rural roads clause 304.1 including setting out, construction of shoring and bracing, removal of stumps and other deleterious materials and disposal in all lead and lifts including dressing of sides and bottom and back filling with excavatated suitable materials. All work of rock cutting by blasting shall be carried out by taking all necessary precautions against soil erosion damage to hill side water pollution etc. and to protect stability of hill side rock shall be excavated with chiseling and wedging out rock (where blasting is prohibited). All earth work in cutting /excavation including rock excavation shall be carried out true to lines, grades, sides slopes, width,camber super elevation and level as shown on the drawings or as directed by the Engineer – in – charge hauling and stacking of materials usefull or construction at suitable sites and safe disposal of unsuitable cut materials in specified manner filling of unebenness blind age and finishing of the road to specified dimension or as per the direction of Engineer-in –charge. If the foundation of the structure is in an area with stagnant water or water is met with in the excavation due to spring seepage rain and other causes it shall be remove by suitable diversion bailing out or pumping as directed and area of the foundation or embankment shall be kept dry. Any loss to the public or privare property during the course of excavation shall be the sole responsibility of the contractor which shall have to be duly compensated by him at his own cost in all cases.
Providing and laying plain cement concrete 1:3:6 (one cement : three sand : six graded, crushed stone aggregate 40mm (forty millimetre) nominal size) mechanically mixed, placed in foundation, levelling course below foundation of head walls and compacted by vibration including cost of form work and curing complete as per MORT&H specifications clause 2100 including entire carrriage of materials within all leads and lifts and any other incidentals charges complete in all respect as per direction of Engineer-in-Charge.
Providing and laying comcrete mechanically mixed and vibrated P.C.C. M-15 (fifteen) grade for plain/reinforced comcrete in foundation/sub structure complete as per drawings and as per MORT&H technical specifications clause 1500, 1700 and 2100/2200 and curing complete including the coast of form work and carriage of materials within all leads and lifts and any other incidentals charges complete in all respect as per direction of Engineer-in-Charge.
Providing and laying reinforced cement concrete pipe NP3 for culverts on first class bedding of granular material in single row including fixing collar with cement mortar 1:2 (one cement : two sand) but excluding excavation, protection works, backfilling, concrete and masonry works in head walls and parapets as per drawings and MORT&H clasue 2900 technical specifications within all leads and lifts and any other incidentals charges complete in all respect as per direction of Engineer-in-Charge.
Back filling with granular material behind abutment, wing wall and return wall complete as epr drawing and MORT&H technical specifications clasue 710.1.4 of IRC:78 & 2200 complete within all leads and lifts and any other incidentals charges complete in all respect as per direction of Engineer-in-Charge.
Providing weepholes in brick masonry/stone masonry/plain reinforced concrete abutment, wing wall, regurn wall with 100mm dia (one hundred millimetre) PVC piep extending through the full width of the structures with slopes of 1V:20H (one vertical isto twenty horizontal) towards drawing face complete as per drawing and technical specifications clasues 2200, 2706 within all leads and lifts and any other incidentals charges complete in all respect as per direction of Engineer-in-Charge.
Scarifying the existing bituminous road surface to a depth of 150mm (one hundred fifty millimetre) and disposal of scarified material upto any lead and lift as per MORT&H technical specifications within all leads and lifts and any other incidentals charges complete in all respect as per direction of Engineer-in-Charge.
Providing, laying, spreading and compacting stone aggregate of sizes 53-22.4mm (fifty three to twenty two point four millimetres) to water bound macadam specification including spreading in uniform thickness, hand packing, rolling with 3 (three) wheel steel vibratory roller 8-10 (eight to ten) tonnes in stages to proper grade and camber, applying and brooming, stone screening to fill-up the interstices of coarse aggregate, watering and compacting to the required density grading-lll by mechanical means as per MORT&H specification Clause 404 including carriage of material within all leads, lifts and other incidental charges and as per the entire satisfaction and direction of Engineer-in-charge.
Providing and applying primer coat with Bitumen Emulsion (SS-1) on prepared surface of granular base cleaned of dust and extraneous material with hydraulic broom or any other approved equipement and spraying primer at the rate of 0.60kg./Sqm (zero point six zero kilogram per square metre) using mechanical means as per MORT&H technical specification Clause 502 including carriage of material within all leads, lifts and other incidental charges and as per the entire satisfaction and direction of Engineer-in-charge.

Providing and laying 25 mm (Twenty five millimetres) compacted thick semi dense bituminous concrete with aggregate of grading as per table 500.15 using bitumen (S-90/VG-10).minimum 5% (five percent) of weight of mix on thoroughly cleaned surface by mechanical broom and dust removed by compressed air,mixed in computerised batch mix/HMP of 50 TPH capacity calibrated from time to time mixing to semi dense bituminous concrete as per approved job mix formula from approved laboratory,transporting the mix material in clean insulated vehicles covered while in transit or awaiting,tipping and laying with sensor paver finisher to the required level and grade,rolling with power road roller to achieve the desired density complete including profile correction layer and patching of pot holes,within all leads and lifts including carriage of materials ,plants and equipments by mechanical transport,conforming to clause 509 of MORD (1st Revision)specification as per the direction of Engineer- in- charge.
Snow clearance for road surface by a bulldozer 165HP and disposing it on valley side including carriage of material within all leads, lifts and other incidental charges and as per the entire satisfaction and direction of Engineer-in-charge.
Providing and laying of boulder apron laid in wire crates with 4 mm (Four millimetres) dia GI wire conforming to IS:280 and IS:4826 in 100 mm x 100 mm (one hundred into one hundred millimetre) mesh (woven diagonally) including 10 % (ten per cent) extra for laps and joints laid with stone boulders weighing not less than 40 kg (Forty kilograms) each as per drawing and MORT&H technical specifications Clause 2503 complete including carriage of material within all leads, lifts and other incidental charges and as per the entire satisfaction and direction of Engineer-in-charge.
