Raw water stage: -Providing and installation of suitable raw water submersible pumpset type KRT capable of handling 6000 PPM turbidity of KSB /all approved make conforming to latest BIS code. The pump shall be fitted with single vane impeller of suitable alloy for handling raw water as per IS 5669-1970 having oil/grease packed bearings and stainless steel shaft, wound stator on motor side with shaft protection sleeves on pump side ensuring better life for shaft . The impeller of pump shall be directly mounted on extended submersible sq cage motor shaft conf to BIS 9238-1979 with up to date amendments of 1450(N) RPM, totally dust and weather proof with detach able pump casing for easy inspection with double mechanical seal, grease/ oil lubricated bearings and provided with stainless steel thrust bearing plate to withstand vertical loads with minimum wear and tear,It should be fitted with device to take up expanion of water on heating of motor & suitable for operation on 415 +/- 10% volts 3 Phase 50 C/S AC supply. The power of motor should be at least 10% in excess of maximum power required by the pump in complete operating range with mounting stand/ duck foot bend, steel guide wire with mounting hook, lowering chain and standard accessories as supplied by the manufacturers complete, suitable for fulfilling the following requirements:-

Providing and fixing 100mm dial pressure guage of Fiebig/Bourden make having range 0-7Kg/cm² with copper tubing, stop cock and allied accessories as per IS:3624-1987 latest with upto date amendments
Providing and fixing MS/MSERW pipe of suitable size as detailed here under for delivery and common header complete in all respects with all specials like bends, tees, reducers, increasers, companion flanges including rubber/asbestos gaskets of minimum 3mm thickness as per IS 1364-1983. The pipes shall be as per relevant IS code, the flanges shall be compatible with pumps, valvs etc. and sutable for withstanding 1.5 times the working pressure likely to be induced as stipulated against item no. 8 above. Delivery side: pipe of one step higher than delivery of pump (3x10 Rmtr.) Common header 450mm dia (5 rmtr.)
Providing and fixing of L&T/Havells make shunt capacitor of suitable rating confirming to IS:2834-1986 latest with upto date amendments to raise power factor at site from 0.85 to 0.95, complete with required cable for direct connection to control panel and fittings.

1st Stage:- Providing horizontal spindle, horizontal radial split casing/end suction (back out arrangment) single/double/multistage centrifugal pump or combination of pump in seris/parallel of recommended pumps such as Mather and Platt/KSB/Beacon weir/L&T/Kirloskar/Jyoti/all approved make as per BIS 1520-1980 with upto date amendments, read with IS 9137-1978 or latest edition suitable for lifting water for under mentioned characteristics with bronze impellers/priming funnels, casing ring and shaft sleeves of bronze,shaft of steel grade 4508 FN8 with cast iron casing coupled directly through a flexible coupling and common MS/Cast steel base plateform ( base plate to be from the manufactturer of pumping unit only) to slip ring/squrrel cage screen protented drip proof induction motor.motors of standard make such as Kirloskar/BHEL/Compton/NGEF/GEC/Siemens/Jyoti/ABB and suitable for operation on 400(+/-) 10% volts, 50cycles/second, 3 phase AC electric supply. The power of electric motor/motors should be designed +10% in excess of the maximum power required by the p[ump/pumps inthe operation rangeof (+) 10% and (-) 15% of duty point head. The motor.motors a per IS 325-1978 with uo to date amendments read with IS 900-1972. It should include cost of bearing nuts, bolts and painting etc. and should meet the following requirement:

Providing ICTP main switch with HRC fuses of Kilburn/ L&T/Siemens/Standard/ Havells make and having capacity 30% extra of the operational rating as per IS: 4064-1978 with up to date amendments, immediately after the power meter of the HPSEBL.
Providing MS sheet 16G steel fabricated floor mounted closed(almirah type) switch board including angle iron post of suitable height and size ISA 40x40x6mm duly painted with steel sheet of 16 gauge comprising and capable of mounting the following accessories within all internal connections. All the accessories should be suitable for the proposed pumping machinery at item No.19 above and to the entire satisfaction of HPSEB authorities. The same shall have to be replaced with out extra cost if recommended by HPSEB authorities
a) OCB/MCCB of MEI/Havels/ standard make and of suitable capacity for offered motor on incoming feeder with or without initial oil filling as the case may be with neutral linked under voltage released as per relevent IS code with upto date ammendments
b) Earth leakage circuit breaker of recommended make (Kilburn/L&T/MEI/GEC) as per IS:2516:1977 with upto date ammendments of suitable range which should have control box, operation, handle and trip/reset bush button on/off indicators, re-indicating off spring condition of the ciruit breaking for cover current protection. The circuit should be equipped with magnet thermal release with metallic tap etc, it should also be fitted with earth fault for tripping of breaker on occurnce of earth fault on off breaker load side end.
c) The voltage monitor relay of AE/MEI/L&T/Havells make three phase with all protection and usual indicator and electric siren against single phasing,low voltage,high voltage, reverse phasing, over loading and phase voltage difference as per IS:3482 (latest edition)
e) Digital Power factor meter of standard make AE/L&T/IMP/Havells as per relevant IS code with upto dateammendments
f) Digital Frequencey meter of standard makeAE/L&T/IMP/Havells as per relvant IS code with uptodate ammendments
g) Bus bar chamber having three copper bars of suitable rating for full length equal to the width of the board for three live phases and suitable for inducted current, one copper bar of half the rating of full length for neutral phase as per IS 8084-1976 and IS:11353-1985 read with BIS 5578-1985 with upto date ammendments

l) Providing suitable oil immersed starter delta/direct on line/auto transformer/. starter rotor starter of MEI/.Kilburn/Jyoti /L&T/Siemens make as per IS:8544:1979 with upto date ammendments for squirrel cage/slip ring motor mounted on panel board with magnetic type over-load release and dashpot, time lag, under voltage release with or without initial oil filling as the case may be with single phae preventor as per IS:1248( P-V) 1983 with upto date ammendments
m) Providng Digital hour run meter of recommended make and suitable capacity as per IS:722(latest edition.)
n) Providing antivibration pads under the pumps and motors of suitablesize for the above pumping machinery as per IS:6337:1971.
Providing double flanged CI sluice valve PN1 of Leader/BHEL/Kirlosker/GLEd/Kilburn Fourses / Kartar make and equal to dia of suction pipe and capable of withstanding the normal seat pressure as per IS:780:1984 with upto date ammendments

Providing and fixing double flanged MS/GI piping work (Layout to be approved by the Engineer in charge) for suction and delivery pipes suitable to pump(s) offered and common header as per the R/Main respectively complete with all specials such as bends, tees, reducers. Increasers with companions flanges matching with the relevant specifications of the accessories including rubber/asbestos gasket of minimum 3mm thickness as per IS:2712:1979 and required number of nuts and bolts as per Is:1364:1983, The Pipes fittings and joints shall be as per relevant IS code & to withstand 1.5 times total head stipulated under item No.19. The size of the various components to be as under:
Suction pipe : One dia higher then the suction of pump offered and suitable to keep the velocity of flow from 1 to 1.5M/second in the suction pipe

Providing and laying copper PVC insulated arsoured power cable (One cable carrying all the three phases) of suitable size and capacity to motors and all other electircal equipments as per IS:1554(P-I) 1988 or latest ith upto date ammendments of siemens/GLOSTER /IEC/ICC/EICO/NATIONAL/GRANDLAY make including all other accessories such as thinbles, flexible pipes,solders,nuts and bolts cable glands etc. laid in pipes or trenches under floor
(a) Motor side (From switch to starter and starter to motor)
(b) Supply side (From Meter of HPSEB to bus bar and switch)
Providing and fixing double loop earth with copper plate 600mmx600x3mm thick electrode complete with material such thimbles nuts and charcoal and common salt, 25mmx5mm copper strips as per IS:3043:1987 with upto date ammendments for motors and other electrical equipments and digging of pits etc. complete in all respect.
2nd Stage:- Providing horizontal spindle, horizontal radial split casing/end suction (back out arrangment) single/double/multistage centrifugal pump or combination of pump in seris/parallel of recommended pumps such as Mather and Platt/KSB/Beacon weir/L&T/Kirloskar/Jyoti/all approved make as per BIS 1520-1980 with upto date amendments, read with IS 9137-1978 or latest edition suitable for lifting water for under mentioned characteristics with bronze impellers/priming funnels, casing ring and shaft sleeves of bronze,shaft of steel grade 4508 FN8 with cast iron casing coupled directly through a flexible coupling and common MS/Cast steel base plateform ( base plate to be from the manufactturer of pumping unit only) to slip ring/squirrel cage screen protented drip proof induction motor.motors of standard make such as Kirloskar/BHEL/Compton/NGEF/GEC/Siemens/Jyoti/ABB and suitable for operation on 400(+/-) 10% volts, 50cycles/second, 3 phase AC electric supply. The power of electric motor/motors should be designed +10% in excess of the maximum power required by the p[ump/pumps inthe operation rangeof (+) 10% and (-) 15% of duty point head. The motor.motors a per IS 325-1978 with uo to date amendments read with IS 900-1972. It should include cost of bearing nuts, bolts and painting etc. and should meet the following requirement:
Discharge: 39.79LPS for each pump
Total Dynamic head: 498.46mtrs.
a) LWL in sump well: 1680.35 mtrs.
b) Shaft level: 1681.85 mtrs.
c) Level at discharge point: 2172.25 mtrs.
d) Suction lift : +ve 1.5 mtrs.
e) Discharge head: 498.46 mtrs.
f) Static head: 490.40 mtrs.
Rising main: a) Length 838 mtrs 450mm dia
Pumping hours: 20
Altitude of installation above MSL: 1550 mtrs.
Characteristics of water: Raw water with turbidity up to 3000 PPM
Temprature : 20 degree centigrade.
(Note:- All four pumpsets will run in parallel to lift total discharge of 159.14LPS)
Providing ICTP main switch with HRC fuses of Kilburn/ L&T/Siemens/Standard/ Havells make and having capacity 30% extra of the operational rating as per IS: 4064-1978 with up to date amendments, immediately after the power meter of the HPSEBL.
Providing MS sheet 16G steel fabricated floor mounted closed(almirah type) switch board including angle iron post of suitable height and size ISA 40x40x6mm duly painted with steel sheet of 16 gauge comprising and capable of mounting the following accessories within all internal connections. All the accessories should be suitable for the proposed pumping machinery at item No.32 above and to the entire satisfaction of HPSEB authorities. The same shall have to be replaced with out extra cost if recommended by HPSEB authorities
a) OCB/MCCB of MEI/Havels/ standard make and of suitable capacity for offered motor on incoming feeder with or without initial oil filling as the case may be with neutral linked under voltage released as per relevent IS code with upto date ammendments
b) Earth leakage circuit breaker of recommended make (Kilburn/L&T/MEI/GEC) as per IS:2516:1977 with upto date ammendments of suitable range which should have control box, operation, handle and trip/reset bush button on/off indicators, re-indicating off spring condition of the ciruit breaking for cover current protection. The circuit should be equipped with magnet thermal release with metallic tap etc, it should also be fitted with earth fault for tripping of breaker on occurnce of earth fault on off breaker load side end.
c) The voltage monitor relay of AE/MEI/L&T/Havells make three phase with all protection and usual indicator and electric siren against single phasing,low voltage,high voltage, reverse phasing, over loading and phase voltage difference as per IS:3482 (latest edition)
e) Digital Power factor meter of standard make AE/L&T/IMP/Havells as per relevant IS code with upto dateammendments
f) Digital Frequencey meter of standard makeAE/L&T/IMP/Havells as per relvant IS code with uptodate ammendments
g) Bus bar chamber having three copper bars of suitable rating for full length equal to the width of the board for three live phases and suitable for inducted current, one copper bar of half the rating of full length for neutral phase as per IS 8084-1976 and IS:11353-1985 read with BIS 5578-1985 with upto date ammendments
h) ICTP switches with HRC fuses unit of Kilbur/L&T/siemens/stands/Havells make and of suitable capacity as per IS:4064:1978 with upto date ammendments
i) Three phase indicator lamps complete with toggle switches for individual motors as per IS:3452:(P-I & II) with upto date ammendments
k) Capacitor of Crompton/L&T/NGEP/Mechneil/ BHEL/GEC make as per 15:2834:1986 with upto date ammendments, to raise the power factor at site to 0.95 for direct connections to induction motor individually of required KVA rting according to H.P.offered including cables as per relevant ISI code (of siemens/clocter.IEC make )from bus bar chamber to capacitor and also including ICTP switches of appropriate range as per Is:4064:1978 with upto date ammendments
l) Providing suitable oil immersed starter delta/direct on line/auto transformer/. starter rotor starter of MEI/.Kilburn/Jyoti /L&T/Siemens make as per IS:8544:1979 with upto date ammendments for squirrel cage/slip ring motor mounted on panel board with magnetic type over-load release and dashpot, time lag, under voltage release with or without initial oil filling as the case may be with single phae preventor as per IS:1248( P-V) 1983 with upto date ammendments
m) Providng Digital hour run meter of recommended make and suitable capacity as per IS:722(latest edition.)
n) Providing antivibration pads under the pumps and motors of suitablesize for the above pumping machinery as per IS:6337:1971.
Providing double flanged CI sluice valve PN1 of Leader/BHEL/Kirlosker/GLEd/Kilburn Fourses / Kartar make and equal to dia of suction pipe and capable of withstanding the normal seat pressure as per IS:780:1984 with upto date ammendments
Providng double flanged cast steel sluice valves ASA-300 of leader/BHEL Kirlosker/Kilburn GLED/fourses make for one step higher then delivery line of pump and capable of withstanding the normal seat pressure and as per BIS standard with upto date ammdnements
Providing double flanged swing type cast steel valves class ASA-300 of Leader/BHEL/KILROSKER/Kartar/KILBURN/GLED/FOURSES make having bye pass arrangements of one step higher then delivery line of pump and capable of withstanding normal seat pressure as perBIS standards with upto date ammendments.
Providing double flanged cast steel reflux valves class ASA-300 of Leader/BHEL/KILROSKER/Kartar/KILBURN/GLED/FOURSES make and of 450mm dia having bye pass arrangements for rising main and capable of withstanding normal seat pressure as per BIS standards with upto date ammendments.
Providing 100mm dia circular dial analog pressure gauge of suitable range of Fiebig /Bourden/ PREGA/precision make complete with all accessories such as stop cock, copper tubing etc.as per IS: 3624-1987 with upto date ammendments.
Providing discharge meter of standard make to be fixed on the rising main in pump house as per the directions of the Engineer in charge as per Is:2373:1981 with upto date ammendments
Installation of all the items apparing at serial No. 32 to 40 as per the systematic drawing
Providing and fixing double flanged MS/GI piping work (Layout to be approved by the Engineer in charge) for suction and delivery pipes suitable to pump(s) offered and common header as per the R/Main respectively complete with all specials such as bends, tees, reducers. Increasers with companions flanges matching with the relevant specifications of the accessories including rubber/asbestos gasket of minimum 3mm thickness as per IS:2712:1979 and required number of nuts and bolts as per Is:1364:1983, The Pipes fittings and joints shall be as per relevant IS code & to withstand 1.5 times total head stipulated under item No.32. The size of the various components to be as under:
