Preventive and comprehensive maintenance of complete fire fighting, detection and alarm system(s) installed at multistory MAP Qtr and Technical area in reliable, safe and efficient manner using latest techniques & expertise consultancy by regularly examining the sensor/detector, Main fire alarm control panels, Repeater panels, Hooters, MCP, Sirens pump motor, alarm system, examining leakage, various valves including damage/repair replacement etc of various type / capacity / make, including making the non-functional parts of fire alarm system into fully functional condition, attending day to day complaint / fault(s) in general shift of 08 hrs every day including Sunday & Holiday, including quarterly cleaning of the detectors and monthly joint testing/inspection of the complete fire alarm system, including replacement of minor items such as wires, lugs, nut, bolts, screws, electronic circuit, including minor items complete all as specified and directed by Engr- in- charge. Note : (i) The contractor will have to employ minimum 01 No of Fire technician (ITI Technician) & 01 No Pipe fitter (ITI pass, Semi-skilled) every day including Sunday and holiday to attend day to day complaints as well as periodical / routine maintenance and joint inspection / testing of fire fighting, detection and alarm system(s) installed at various locations / areas and maintain a register which is to be countersigned by JE I/C and also submit the feedback on daily basis to the Engineer-in-Charge/ concerned JE E/M. Weekly off to the workers shall be given and in place reliever of the same qualification shall be provided as per labour law & cost deemed to be included in qouted rates. (ii) The tradesmen/Technician (s) should be having ITI qualified with minimum 3 years work experience of respective trade. (iii) In case, additional manpower other than mentioned here-in-above, will be required for smooth functioning of fire alarm system or attending day to day complaints or periodical / routine maintenance or joint inspection / testing of fire alarm system(s) installed at various locations / areas, the contractor shall arrange the same without any extra cost to Deptt. (iv) The comprehensive / preventive / periodical maintenance includes monthly joint inspection / testing of entire fire fighting, detection and alarm system(s), in presence of representative of user. The joint inspection / test report duly signed by contractor, user representative and MES representative will be submitted along with each RAR/payment. If contractor fails to complete the joint inspection / testing of fire alarm system(s), the compensation / penalty of Rs. 1000.00 (Rupees One Thousand only) per day shall be recovered from the contractor’s dues. (v) The complete existing fire alarm system(s) will be handed over to contractor in present condition and no claim on this effect will be accepted at any stage. Hence, the bidder is advised to visit the site to assess the quantum of work to be carried out in this contract and quote their rates accordingly. (vi) The cost of all kind of repair /servicing/ replacement of defective equipment/devices and other minor parts/spares or cell/ batteries as and when required for making the entire fire alarm system(s) fully functional, is deemed to be included in quoted rates and no extra cost shall be paid to the contractor on this effect. However, the Cost of major equipment / devices shall be measured & paid separately under relevant item of this Schedule/BOQ. (vii) All the complaint / fault (s) will be attended within 02 hrs from the time of receipt of complaint. If, contractor or his tradesmen fails to attend the complaint within 02 hrs from the time of receipt of complaint verbaly or telephonically, the compensation/penalty of Rs. 500.00 (Rupees Five Hundred only) per complaint per hr for first 04 hr and after that Rs. 1000 (Rupees one thousand only ) per complaint each day (i.e 24 hrs ) shall be recovered from the contractor’s dues. (vii) The contractor shall provide all the necessary T&P, uniform and stationary such as Attendance Register, Periodical Maintenance Register, log book etc to the technician without any extra cost to Deptt. (ix) The following documents to be produced for monthly payment:- (a) Monthly testing report of all fire hydrant duly signed by user, MES rep & contractor. (b) Serviceability of pump sets signed by rep of MES & Engr-in-charge. (c) Serviceability test report of all fire alarm system duly signed by user, MES rep & contractor. (d) The attendance register for workers is to be maintained by JE E/M and to be produced to Engr-in-charge weekly for countersigned . Absentees if any will be penalised at the rate of Rs. 2000/- per day per person. Photo copy of Attendance register will be submitted alongwith each RAR/Final bill.

Excavation in trenches n.exc 1.5m wide and 1.50m in depth for laying of electric cables or for poles and stay or for laying pipes (where provided for protection of cables) and getting out, trimming the sides forming bottom surface to required level in soft/loose soil complete all as specified and directed by Engineer-In-Charge .

Returning , filling in , including spreading , leveling, watering and well ramming in layers not exc 25 cm in soft/loose soil complete all as specified and directed by Engineer-In-Charge .

Removing excavated material n exc. 50m and depositing where directed at a level not exc 1.50m above the starting point complete all as specified and dircted by Engineer-In-Charge .

M&L in repair/ replacement for hose box made of 18 gauge MS sheet 800mm X 600mm X 250mm, double door with 4 mm thick glasses and door frame made of 16 gauge MS sheet duly painted with fire red colour out side and brilliant white inside yard including taking down old unserviceable item complete all as specified and as directed..

Supply and fixing in repair/ replacement of canvas hose pipe suitable for fire hydrant of 63 mm bore , 15 mtr long with coupling made out of brass and nozzle of size 63 mm to 20 mm dia as per bureau of indian standards including taking down old unserviceable item complete all as specified and directed by Engr-in- Charge.

M&L in repair/ replacement for Yard hydrant post /stand post made out of 80 mm dia GI/MS both flanged type 1.5 M height complete including taking down old unserviceable item complete all as specified and as directed.

Supply and fixing in repair/ replacement of fire hydrant landing valve type `B` (single/ double head outlet) 63 mm dia confirming to IS-5292 including taking down old unserviceable item complete all as specified and as directed.

Supply and fixing in repair/ replacement of branch pipe gun metal 63 mm instantaneous 15 mm bore nozzle long type confirming to IS-903 including taking down old unserviceable item complete all as specified and as directed.

Supply and fixing in repair/ replacement of alarm/sounders/sirens elctronic type horizontal single stage continuos normal opeation for at least 50 minutes with sound level 65DB to 120 DB measured at 1.5 mtr with sound out put variation of + 5 DB 500 mtr range including taking down old unserviceable item complete all as specified and directed.

Taking out of unserviceable CI/GI/MS pipes 25mm bore (including all fittings) with spigot and socket ends and lead joints including burnt out joints with welding complete all as specified for the following sizes :- (Note :- Excavation and earth work will be measured and paid separately.)

Supply and laying bricks common brunt clay building bricks sub class B as in cable protection including removing of old bricks complete all as specified and directed by Engr - in - Charge.

Material and labour for sand cushioing with a layer of fine sand 8cm thick before laying of cable and 15cm thick after laying of cable in trenches complete all as specified and directed. Notes-: Thickness18cms after punning down shall be considered for payment.
