| 2.00 | Repair/Replacement of Damaged aluminium insulation of MS Chiller Pipelines in Emergency Block of GMCH Jammu. The job includes switching off the main power supply to the units and draining of all the water from the chiller plants and chiller pipelines and removing the insulating Aluminium sheet from the damaged/wornout portion from the surface of the pipeline by using sheet cutters etc. Then the C-shaped damaged thermocol is removed from the surface of the pipeline with the help of tools and tackles. The surface of the MS Pipeline is cleaned thoroughly to remove all the traces of adhesive and thermocol and the rusted portions of 4” MS Pipeline are removed with the help of pipe cutter/gas welding and new 4” diameter MS Pipeline (03 meter) is fixed in that portions by gas welding method .. The job also includes providing and fitting of MS bends 02 No’s of 4” diameter by replacing the rusted/damaged ones. All the MS Pipeline joints are welded in double layers so that all the joints are leak proof and to test the joints water is filled in the chiller plants and MS Pipelines and water and circulated and checked for leakage if any from the joints and is rectified again by applying another layer of welding. The water is again drained from the chiller plants and MS pipelines and two coatings of special adhesive paint is applied over the surface of the MS pipeline and pre fabricated C shaped thermocol (50 mtr)is fixed all over it. Then aluminium sheet of 26 gauge (50 mtr) is fixed all over the thermocol with the help of crimping tool and star shaped rivets.
